drfunk
HI All, I recently decided to go back through my Pokemon Ruby save to try to finish the Pokedex, as legitimately as possible in today's world. I injected the eon ticket for Latias, but, it seems as a child rather than working to actually catch Latios I fainted him out of frustration. Does anyone know of a way to reset Latios' roaming status in the game? I assume whether he has been fainted or not is held somewhere in the hex file. But I don't know where it would be. I know I can very easily use PkHEX to just edit in a Latios and save myself a whole lot of trouble. This was just my first Pokemon game, and my first save so I am trying to catch Pokemon as legitimately as possible when able.
sergiotarxz
If you send the save I will do it for you, I have a programming library for managing pokemon ruby flags. Edited March 10 by sergiotarxz
sergiotarxz
Basically you have to unset this flag FLAG_LATIOS_OR_LATIAS_ROAMING which is 0xff and beat the pokemon league
sergiotarxz
You can also play with the flag FLAG_SYS_TV_LATI but I think it is more inconsistent because it depends on you being in your room before the editing.
drfunk
Perfect, I was able to get Latios back to roaming. Thank you for the help!
sergiotarxz
I did not thought you would be able only with my instructions, congrats. (I do not use pkhex so I do not know how the flag is called there.)
