pokemon yellow doesn't register the changes i did on my savefile using pkhex

I have a modded 2ds console and i installed pokemon yellow on it using New Super Ultimate Injector for 3ds.
I have started to play a pokemon yellow nuzlocke but grinding is such a pain i wanted to hack in some rare candies so i tried first using PKSM and then using PKHeX but every time i save the changes the game file still doesn't use the new changes. I have rechecked if the save file was not changed but it still had every modification i made. I thought it was a problem with rare candies and so i tried to change the levels of the pokemon in my party and in my box, but still the game doesn't apply any changes. Anyone can help? Also if someone could tell me how to add pokemon black/white to PKSM it would be much appreciated
