Pkhex edits not being read by EZFlash

Hoping you all could help me, I've searched through every mention I could find that might relate to my issue but have yet to find anything that's worked.

I'm trying to edit some of my save files in Pkhex which is the latest version of it; I managed to get an edit on an item to work when I loaded the game up (increased the number of rare candies). However any edits to existing pokemon or attempts to generate new pokemon haven't shown up in game. I've checked they're all legal edits which they are, and clicked 'set' for each pokemon however the save doesn't load up with these changes.

The only difference I could find with what solutions people have been giving is when exporting the file, people show screenshots of that button being a drop down menu of "export main" and "export back-up". I'm not given any drop-down or other menu, I can only click "Export SAV" and that's it. I don't know whether this is part of the issue but I've not found anything on it as of yet.

I've attached both an original save file and an attempted save edit if that's of any use. (I of course have the edited save overwrite and be the same name as the rom name - it's just named differently here for visual ease)
