Whiteythereaper Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 (edited) Having a bit of a unique issue with my Ruby (PAL btw) save when trying to load it in PKHeX. For context, it is a legit cart, I've migrated Pokemon out from it to Gen 4, used it with Pokemon Box, changed the battery & reset the save file, and used it with PKHeX multiple timesall with no issue over the last 3+ years. I use a GBxCART RW flasher, but I also have an R4 with the Mystery Event Tool and a Modded Wii with the GBA Link Cable Save manager on it also. I have backed up & flashed it numerous times using the Wii and using FlashGBX and it's been fine, however this time I've recently gotten Eon Ticket from my E Reader which I distributed to my Emerald before backing up. I've tried saving multiple times before backing up and trying to view the file but I keep getting the Binary error, which is strange when I can load it in the emulator and have it run just fine. I've had a glance at it in a Hex Editor (which I'm mostly clueless with) and it's not full of garbage data either so I have no idea what the issue is. Any sense and possible fixes appreciated. EDIT: Never mind, I found the issue. When ripping the save using FlashGBA v3.18, it now asks if you would like to also save the Real Time Clock register values. This is what causes PKHeX to fail to load the save, it does warn you that Emulators may not be able to read the data but I hadn't had an issue until now.
