i need help!

I've downloaded and tried to use pokesav like 5 times already and everytime I go to start playing my game is restarted.

• I have the No$Gba emulator, Pokemon Platinum NDS rom, pokesav, the No$Gba to VBA converter.
  
• I have at least one pokemon.
  
• I did the "Compressed" to "Uncompressed".
  
• I opened the VBA converter and did the config thing and saved it to my BATTERY folder.
  
• I opened up Pokesav and opened the converted file.
  
• I edited for like 2 hours and saved.
  

I watched like 3 different tutorials on youtube and they all said to delete the old saved file.

Well, I did that. So when I open the game. Its started over.

I'm not trying to get all like level 100 pokemon or all the items.

I was almost done with the game and somehow it got deleted.

I just want most of my pokemon back.

This seemed to be the easiest.

But, by far, it's not.

I cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong.

So please someone tell me.

Did you rename the new save? you must delete the old one and change the new ones name to match the old one.
