Slowpoke in Wedgehurst appears as an egg

I edited my save file quite a few times to get some event pokemon. Somehow, I also ended up with a few bugs because of that, like a lvl 0 Eevee that won't level up even when I give it rare candies.

Now I installed the latest update for Sword and tried to capture the new Slowpoke that can be found at the station in Wedgehurst. However, when I start battling, the Slowpoke is shown as an egg. After I select an attack, the fight suddenly ends.

Has anyone had the same issue? I don't know why this would happen, so I suppose it's pkhex related.

Do you have any LayerFS patches active? I know that the EXP modifier ones cause this issue.

Man, I`m an idiot.... I didn't even think about that, my mind went straight to the edited save files.

Thanks for your help, I never would have guessed that.
