Pokemon US/UM Early mega evolutions

Hey everyone,

 

i want to use mega evolutions in USUM early on. I know you have to set an event flag in order for it to work, as giving yourself the mega ring alone

doesn't work. Problem is, i can't find the event flag in pkhex --> SAV ---> Event Flags ---> (first tab) event flags
Also i don't understand what the other two tabs "event constants" and "research" are meant to do.
I greatly appreciate your help, as i'm new to this.

This is very easy to do. Load a US/UM save file, go to sav, trainer info, then the other tab and tick the "unlocked mega evolution" box. Mega evolution will be unlocked on the save.

So no need to give myself the mega ring or search in event flags.
Just ticking the box is enough?
