pk3ds ExeFS editing and rom crashing

Hi! I've tried randomizing my pokemon generation 6 games and all I get when I try to open the ExeFS tab in PK3DS is thgat it isn't loading. I've tried re-installing and re-unpacking the .3ds file which I have dumped trough cartridge. All I get is this error message trying to open the ExeFS tab:

This is for gen 7 but it is the same for gen 6, I would greatly apriciate all the help I can get
