Messed Up Save File?

Hey everyone,

I was playing Pokemon Platinum via Desmume, when I accidentally dropped my phone on the F1 button, which brought me back to a previous save file, before I beat Volkner (I had just beat him.) In that time interval, I had done things such as level up my Pokemon, and go through a cave puzzle in order to get TM26 Earthquake. I tried to edit my save file so I can just edit my levels and Earthquake back onto the Pokemon I used the tm on (Garchomp), only to see an error message saying that the file size was too big. I also realized the file size had jumped from 512kb to 1025kb. Is there any way to fix this? Thank you for any help...
