Any way to get Rotom to shut up? [USUM]

Yo. So, like probably more than 1 of you, I find Rotom Dex in USUM to be annoying. Especially when he's bombarding you with "advice" on a scale you could never imagine. So, is there any way in PKHex to like reduce his friendship with the player or something to make him shut up? I changed the name he called it back to default wondering if that would do anything--since I started to get the barrage of advice after I accepted his nickname--but that didn't work out.
