Rebel Rebel Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 I'm a bit confused as to which gen III Pokémon are supposed to be fateful encounter. Bulbapedia's fateful encounter article only mentions Mew, Deoxys, and Pokémon from , but their pages on gen III events and Colosseum say that any gen III event that didn't come in an egg is also fateful encounter. A couple of Google searches led me to a thread here which shows a fateful encounter Ageto Celebi, and this pic which shows a fateful encounter WISHMKR Jirachi. But then I found this thread and none of the included Colosseum Pokémon are fateful, including Jirachi and Celebi! To complicate matters even more, I stumbled on Pokéxperto's event database, and while it seems to agree that only Mew and Deoxys are fateful, Poképark Mew is listed as not being fateful like the others. So that exactly is going on here? I'm assuming the Celebi sent to the GBA games is fateful while the one received in Colosseum isn't, but Jirachi can only be sent to the GBA games as far as I know (by all means correct me if I'm wrong). Is the one in the picture hacked or am I missing something? And is Poképark Mew the only non-fateful gen III Mew or is this a mistake on Pokéxpero's part? Are any other events in gen III fateful encounter, or is it really just Mew, Deoxys, GBA Ageto Celebi, and the Pokémon? In the interest of both avoiding hacks and making sure Bulbapedia isn't spreading misinformation, I hope someone can shed some light on this.
Natsume Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 I'm following as I've been wondering the exact same thing. Some ordinary Pokemon like the 'Berry Glitch Fix Zigzagoons' (ID: 21121) are said to be met in a fateful encounter according to Bulbapedia while legendaries like the Tanabata 2003 - 2004 Jirachis are not. Both Pokemon originated in Ruby and Sapphire.
