is ridley too big?

You hear it all the time: ridley can't be in smash he is just too big.

but is this true, even if he was too big could we shrink him?

that last question got me thinking, what if ridley was in smash but then in this shrinked form, wouldn't he be really slow, would his attack animations work, would any attack even fit as a special?
