LontaBeans Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Okay, I'm trying to edit the overworld sprites in HGSS. If it makes any difference, I've been following 2and2make5's tutorial of it. Whenever I open up the ROM in PokeTEX, a few seconds later "PokeTEX.exe is not responding". Is there any reason that this is happening that you can think of? Thanks, and please try to write to me ASAP. :grog:
LontaBeans Posted May 3, 2014 Author Posted May 3, 2014 Okay, I know what I did wrong, but now when I insert the sprite and try my game, it freezes. Could someone give me a brief tutorial? All of the ones on YouTube aren't helping. I'm probably messing up, but this is what I've done in order: -Open .btx in TileMolester, save as .poke. -Open .poke in PokeTEX -Open Rom (1.narc) -Find edited sprite (sprite is already in, just not colored) -Edit palette (Here's where I think I'm going in the wrong direction.) The palette doesn't save when I export the .poke. If I reimport it, it just turns up plain black. -Rename "1_842.poke" to "1_842.btx" (not sure if I should be doing this, but as mentioned about the palette won't save.) If I try saving the Rom an error pops up. -Save, make narc, reinsert.
