Bluesnarf Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 (edited) Here and below moved out of another thread. -Codr Uhm.. I have a crashing problem too but it's somewhat different from this.. I've tried to search and read some other threads these 2 days.. I found some similar one but they're all from the older versions.. And tried all the advice (about the folder name etc) from those threads but it's still crashing.. This is what I get when every time I tried to open PokeGen.. Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: PokeGen.exe Application Version: 3.1.10.0 Application Timestamp: 3c008725 Fault Module Name: StackHash_0a9e Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 00000000 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 00000020 OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: 0a9e Additional Information 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Additional Information 3: 0a9e Additional Information 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Sorry if it's wrong to post it here.. I just think that it's bad to add more thread since it's a crash problem too.. Edited September 3, 2012 by Codr
Codr Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Is there a PokeGen.dmp file in the same directory as the executable?
Bluesnarf Posted August 17, 2012 Author Posted August 17, 2012 Nope.. Only the language files and the exe itself..
Codr Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 That implies that there's something wrong outside of the scope of PokeGen, but I don't know. Are you even seeing a dialog prior to the crash? Can you show any more of the information in the crash dialog? I don't remember what else is in that list. (Unless what you pasted IS all that's there.) Edit: Supposedly that StackHash issue is related to Data Execution Prevention. I just turned that on and it's still not crashing for me, so I don't know what your problem is. Edit 2: More searching suggests that DEP may not have anything to do with it, and that it may be related to hardware errors. I'm curious as to whether or not you've seen this issue with other software.
Bluesnarf Posted August 18, 2012 Author Posted August 18, 2012 Well, i pasted all there's to be.. And everytime I tried to execute pokegen, the stop working window will pop out immediately.. And this is the first software issue for me.. Even an old software like virtual basic can operate smoothly.. I'm still trying to cover it up too tho..
Codr Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Nobody else seems to be having this problem, or at least nobody has reported it. Considering there's nothing wrong that I can identify with PokeGen, there's nothing I can do. If you manage to find more information out on it, feel free to post here again.
H1Z1 Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 I just today was trying to open both my japanese Black 2 file and my us black 2 file after doing a fresh download of 3.1.10 and the program instantly crashes. My settings are the vanilla ones.
