No checkbox for shiny/ is it possible to add an item/ saving?

When I load up my save file and select a pokemon, it doesn't give me the option to turn it shiny. How do I get this?

Main issue though, is it possible to add a new item into the game? Do you do it through giving the item to the pokemon or is there a way to just put it into your bag?

Lastly, is there a special way to save it? I save over my old save file and it doesn't change it. Sorry if there's a certain way to do it, but I've only used pokesav before and all you did on that was save it over your old save file.

I solved the other two, I was just being dim!

But the shiny box doesn't allow me to select it still?

Remove the PID.

Should let you check the "Shiny" box.

That, or you could go in the Trainer info tab and click "Generate Shiny SID"
