lx MiZeRY xl Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Alright so I'm currently using DeSmuMe v9.7 and my save files are being saved as .ds1 files, and when I try to open the files under pokegen they don't show up under the folder. I tried to use to converter on shunyweb to convert it but there was an error every time I tried to convert it, can anyone help me with a converter I can use that will convert the ds1 files and also which file pokegen supports that I can convert them to?
Codr Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Those aren't save files, they're save states. Save the game using the game's actual save mechanism.
Usaraud Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 as a suggestion.... since desmume doesnt save as sav file by default, and converting the save file to sav can be a b*tc*.... I save the game using the actual save mechanism, then choose Export Backup Memory from the File option of Desmume... and it will create a 512kb .sav file ready to load using Pokegen
Codr Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Desmume creates .dsv files when using in-game saving, which PokeGen supports. It creates .dst and .ds# files when using save states, which I haven't spent the time to learn the format of in order to support them.
