Sturm Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Why do we have to leave the PID finder blank for 5th Gen Pokémon? Will they be given a PID automatically in game? Will it give different PID's for all Pokémon? Also what about Hidden Hex Values, are these done for me as well? If someone could explain this for me I would be grateful Thanks!
Guest Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 PokéGen generates the PID automatically if you leave the PID field blank.
Sturm Posted September 18, 2011 Author Posted September 18, 2011 Thanks for the reply! What about Hidden Hex Values? Will all Pokémon be given unique PID's even if they have the same Nature, EV's, IV's?
Codr Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 You don't have to leave the PID finder blank. The game doesn't care what the PID is. A Pokemon can't NOT have a PID, so of course PokeGen gives it one regardless of what you do. No data is hidden. The game doesn't care what the extra bytes are set as, if that's what you were referring to. The PokeGen section is NOT for getting help with "legality" issues, since that's very clearly what you're asking for here.
