Fix a corrupted Yellow save?

I tried changing something in my Yellow save because I messed up on a Pokemon's move learning, and the .sav file won't work anymore in VBA. When I try to load it, it says the File Data was destroyed. Is there any way anyone could help fix this, or is there a program I can use to fix it myself? I was only about 2 badges into the game, but I was doing it for an LP and don't want to have to start over.
