someone1324 Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 I tried downloading the English .40c version of pokesav for diamond/pearl and my antivirus came up saying it blocked a trojan. Is this supposed to happen? EDIT: looked around the forum a bit and found others having this problem. is there any other way to fix this?
juxshoa Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Mysteriuosly this happened to my file of pokesav for black/white(Jap. ver.) And last year it happened to me for plat. pokesav(that time it was a backdoor virus) Something similar happened to Felidire: http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?10571-Antivirus-killed-PokeSAV-DP-lawl&p=87537
DiscordDave Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 These are false positives, just like the other posts all say. You have to go into your antivirus program and tell it to ignore those files. Antivirus programs simply look for a pattern of bytes as a "signature" that would indicate the file MIGHT be infected. There are so many trojans and virii out there that legitimate programs are bound to have bytes in these patterns that make antivirus software think it's infected, when it is in fact clean.
