Pokesav Platinum and Desmume

Hello, i've downloaded pokesav today and trying to get a pokemon for hours but it doesnt work. I'll list the things i do so i'd appreciate if you could tell me what am i doing wrong.

i am using desmume 0.9.5 and it saves as .dst
so i open pokesav, open my .dst save game on pokesav, i edit a pokemon on storage part.
then i click on export ards code stuff.
on the ards screen, i click the buttons i've changed and save it so i can get a .txt file
i open desmume, load my save file, and activate my cheat using l+r buttons
but then, when i open the menu, there is no writing next to my trainer card (i'm so sorry i couldnt tell it another way :))
and theres no pokemon on the box which i thought i've changed by using pokesav.

i can post screenshots if you want to.

and i am again so sorry being such a newbie or noob. :)

Wrong save file. DST is for save states, not actual save files.

You have to go to File -> Export Backup Memory.

I tried to upload .sav extension but it said wrong save file. Could you help me a little more ?

by the way, even if i do not upload any save game, it still does the same thing i've mentioned in my first post.
