    Release: SPICA

    By Cecillia, in News,

On November 13 2017 fellow Project Pokémon member @Reisyukaku announced a release of SPICA, a tool they work on together with gdkchan. This specific tool is meant to be a replacement for the well known Ohana, also known as Ohana3DS. Reisyukaku stated that it's better because "the BCH (de)serializer has been completely rewritten, giving maximum flexibility and better BCH support".

This application can import multiple file types such as BCH and SMD and it exports SMD and DAE, among other files. Also it can export texture files, it can batch export files and it can merge files. Besides these features there are new features planned that will get added soon. The current planned ones are GFModel exporting and a fully implemented animation player.

    Global Link Update

    By Cecillia, in News,

The Pokémon Global Link is currently undergoing maintenance. If you try to use it, it will fail.

The maintenance started at midnight November 10 2017, and it will last until midnight 17 November 2017 (UTC). The Pokémon Company International has taken it offline to update it for the official release of Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon.

It seems that after the update it will work with both Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon, as well as with Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. Right now the Global Link features won't work for either Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, this includes Game Sync as well as Rating Battles.
After the maintenance is done, the new games will officially be released, in the meantime be sure to stay offline or else you will more than likely get banned like last year.

Now that things are starting to calm down a little after the Pokémon Ultra Moon leak, it's time to start writing up the findings. We are currently looking for people to fill some open staff positions:
Pages Team - This team writes about features of games, such as what the Festival Plaza in Pokémon Sun and Moon is, what starter Pokémon are available in Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, or perhaps even strategy guides for certain items. We would especially like help with writing up new features in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. News Team - This team posts info about current events on our homepage and serves as a moderator of the news forums. With the impending release of the new games, there will be no shortage of news to report. Moderator of RAM forums - We are currently looking for a moderator to look over the RAM forums, serving general moderator duties and helping with a special project involving moving hundreds of threads around as we restructure some forums. Please see our open applications if you're interested.
Thank you for your attention, and have fun playing the new games!

  • Our picks

    • Since they released over a decade ago, the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games for the Nintendo DS have not had much in the way of ROM editors. Over the past few years, hackers have slowly learned more and more about the inner workings of the games, culminating in the most advanced PMD editor to date: Sky Temple.

SkyTemple is a user-friendly level editor for Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky that gives the user full control over graphics, scripts, Pokémon data, and more, enabling a great amount of creative freedom to prospective ROM hackers to create not just edits of the game, but entirely new levels and plots.
