  2. Introduction Hey guys! I am Zephyros and I want to announce to you my first Pokemon Project (no pun intended)...Pokemon Spirit Silver! This is a hack made by yours truly, Zeph (me!). So a bit about myself. I love messing around with video games and I love messing around with Pokemon because I get to do a lot of things that I wish could've happened in my regular play through as a kid. I loved playing Pokemon and I still do so to show my love I decided to hack my favorite game...Soul Silver! I personally found that Soul Silver had so much potential but so little usage of that potential. I hated how the leveling curve was absolutely horrendous, the levels of the wild Pokemon were terrible, the trainer's Pokemon were terribly leveled. (I got more experience from wild battles than trainer battles.) So I took it upon myself to revamp Soul Silver and provide a more entertaining game in the forme of a hack...Spirit Silver. Story The story is the same. You thwart Team Rocket. Obtain the legendary, Lugia. Beat the 16 Gym Leaders and fight Red. Beat the game...ya know. The usual. However, it's more or less the experience that I have revamped. Although as time goes along, you can expect an update to the game with a few additional storylines... Features [The Experience] - All 451 Pokemon are available in this game. (Wild Grass, Water, Etc. + Legendaries which will be obtained from various events scattered through Kanto/Johto) - Pokemon that evolve by trade have now been changed to evolve in a different manner. [Level up, item usage, etc.] (I will eventually release a TXT file disclosing all the evolutions and how to achieve them) - Pokemon Movesets have been updated to Gen V (or may even be updated to GEN VI) - Wild Pokemon Encounters have been updated - Gym Leaders and Trainers have been updated. [Higher Levels, More AI, More challenges, More fun, Different Pokemon, More Fun!] - All events (Pichu event, Celebi event, etc.) are being implemented into the game - New/Different Storylines may be implemented - Red's not so much the same anymore on top of that lonely mountain... - The Kanto Gym Leaders have been gotten rid of. They have been replaced by an even more challenging, ruthless, and fearless group of leaders who aren't afraid to tear your world down... Progress I have done everything up to the second gym. I will update this post as I go along. Now. Don't expect a beta to come out soon however if you want to beta test this game then by all means send me a message. I am considering putting up a beta after the fourth gym...otherwise known as the Goldenrod Gym. I am putting content onto this game as much as I can with the time available. I just need to know how to specifically edit Professor Oak's intro text, mugshots/back sprites, and a bit of scripting help. If anyone can provide this to me...then you will be credit so much, I wouldn't be able to describe my gratitude. Everything up until ILEX FOREST is just about done! Yay! I'm actually considering to add a few more potential events but other than that you can expect a playable BETA in the next two weeks! If you want to see more progress.   3. Pokémon Kanto/Orange Rom Base Hello ProjectPokémon! It's been a while since I've been through hell and back. Lost all my tools and old NDS projects when I halted development. I can assure you all I'm back for real this time and even more focused than ever. Will be moving into HGSS Rom instead of continuing with BW/B2W2 Roms because who doesn't love a Pokémon following you! So whats the plan and goal before Summer starts? Finish Mapping all the Islands of the Orange Archipelago Spriting Orange Islands OWs Fix all warps, events, OWs and glitches around the Kanto I messed up. Fix and re position Flying on the Map. Creating scripts to enable travel around the islands in Blimps or Boats. (Don't ask if ya can surf around because that'll kill me making more maps) New Intro and starting place Important stuff I'm finished with A Whole New Orange Archipelago Matrix System Island Names appear in the game now but some 3D Maps haven't been created yet 3D Interiors and Outdoors (It doesn't look weird at all #NotOneBit) The New Matrix System I'll be using New Island from the Pokemon Movie (Not close looking but really we just need a castle/tower) In-Game of the empty Island I'll be seeking people who can script/event edit/ and love messing with the Text editor in Spiky DS Map only once I'm finished making the maps of all islands. Most of all I can't really design any of the Islands myself since I can only google the anime version of each Island. So I'm asking you all to make maps using GBA tools of each island and post them up. It'll give me ideas to make them into 3D Models easier without having a hard time thinking how I should make each map. Just don't make Valencia Island because I'm working on it.   4. Pokemon Rising Sun and Waning Moon v 0.6.1 (Very early release) Works for both Pokemon Moon and Sun! Pokemon Sun exclusive trainers (Kiawe, etc.) are still un edited though! Download & Information: (Removed by moderator) Feedback is much appreciated and NEEDED Lets start off with some context. Currently, pk3DS allows us to edit the trainers and move sets of pokemon within Pokemon Sun and Moon. I decided to go ahead and create a challenge mode of sorts, similar to that of Pokemon Blaze Black/Volt White. Currently editing wild encounters! Changes: Trial Captains and Kahunas now all have teams of 6 Pokemon. Level curve greatly changed. Team should be in high 70s/low 80s by the end of the elite 4. Trainers have Pokemon not usually seen in Alola. Gladion is literally Owain from Fire Emblem now. (His sword hand hungers.) Moveset editing has begun, Butterfree is a notable change. Youngster Joey has a top percent Rattata. Wild encounters up until Hau'oli City are finished! Instructions: (CFW Required for this method. See other method below if you don't have a CFW) THINGS YOU NEED: - Latest nightly build of luma https://astronautlevel2.github.io/Luma3DS/ - The hack's GARC files (the stuff that actually overwrites the original assets) Get it from the Google Drive link - The code.ips file which is in the patch.zip in the Google Drive. Running extended code with luma - Download the luma nightly release and update ur luma (just overwrite ur old armloaderhax.bin with the new one in the download) - Create folders called SD:\\luma\titles\0004000000175E00\ - paste code.ips - create folder called SD:\\SaltySD\sunmoon\ and place the "a" folder from the GARCS.zip in there. And that should be it! Easiest way to tell if the romhack is working is by checking your trainer passport. It should say: Adventure started on v0.5 This only works for Luma3DS of course, not HANS. Plus, you can combine this with other IPS patches such as Instant Text Speed, No Outlines, SciresM's QR code patch, etc. Instructions(GARC Files/Current): First off you're gonna need a dumped copy of Pokemon Sun/Moon. You really should have done that by now btw. Download Extract Repack, Patch.zip and the GARC Files from my google drive. (Link at the top of the page.) Extract your dump's files. Download Lunar IPS Patcher (Google it) You should have a folder in Extract Repack tilted exefsdir, inside of it a .code.bin (if you don't have the exefsdir folder, you need to extract your Pokemon Sun and Moon dump!) Run Lunar IPS. Select apply patch to file. Select the code.ips patch, and then make sure you can select any file and select your .code.bin. Once its done patching, rename your .code.bin to (last 8 digits of title ID).code Make sure it becomes a .code file. The title ID should be the folder your game was dumped in. Move 00175e00.code (Different name for Sun) to SD:\Hans Create a folder on your SD card like so: SD:\\SaltySD\sunmoon\ and place the "a" and "Data" folder from the GARC files there. Launch Pokemon Sun/Moon from Hans and select custom code path Thats it! Easiest way to tell if its working is by starting a new game or checking your Trainer Passport. FOR POKEMON SUN USERS: RENAME THE "3" FILE IN a\0\8\ TO "2" Layeredfs: (These instructions only apply if you use the Layeredfs files) For usage, the folders are easy actually, just drag and drop both folders in the zip on the root of your sd, and for romhack usage, sd/Pokemon/Sun/ sd/Pokemon/Moon/ Put all of the garc files ("a" folder) in the Sun or Moon folder depending on which game you have. Todo: Re balance according to feedback. Re balance Pokemon move sets and stats once tools are available. Make all 802(?) Pokemon available through wild grass, events, and the such.   5. [video=youtube;-ws3NI-xWTo] This patch does exactly what you think it does. Every pokemon will suddenly only know metronome, and the same goes for enemy trainers. If you want to put strategy aside and just be a spectator to pokemon playing itself for an hour or two, this is the mod you're looking for. The mod is completed, though only playtested once, so there might be a bug or two. Important features: Metronome now has 40PP. Every pokemon can learn all the HMs, but beside Flash (which is now splash) all the HMs have the same effect as metronome. All gym leader battles, rival battles, Elite 4 battles and Giovanni battles are now double battles. No trade evolutions. No TMs Documentation with all the minor changes and a Firered mini-walkthrough How to apply the patch (Note: You must already have a Firered ROM): Download the rar file in this thread. Download (if you don't already have it) Lunar IPS. Extract the rar file. Open Lunar IPS and choose "apply patch". Select the patch from the Pokemon Firered Metronome folder. Select your clean Firered ROM. Get the message screen that says the patch was successfully applied. I suggest using the no$gba emulator to play it. What is the injoke version? I originally made a crappier version of this mod for the pokemon streamer Pkmn Rob, so the injoke version is for people who enjoys his stream. Special features: Your rival is supposed to be Rob in this version (so name him Rob) His pokemon are all memorable pokemon from Rob's various playthroughs (with the name he gave them, so he doesn't send out Slowbro, he sends out Rainmaker). Pokedes is updated with injokes. The champion battle for the Elite 4 re-battle is a special version of Rob. How was the mod made? Well I'm very new to modding and know nothing about code, so I used the following four modding tools: Advance Trainer Nameless Sprite Editor Yet Another Pokemon Editor MoveEditor The first three can be found on the download page on swamperttools. The fourth can be found here Please let me know if you find anything wrong with the mod or the documentation, like a trainer with a pokemon that use something other than metronome (Besides Magikarp, who is intended to also have splash and Ditto, who is intend to still only have transform). A: I am stuck between 2 options: Marine Cave, or ASM/Tile permissions. I will decide when the time arises. Q: What do you mean by "Friends new and old?" A: We'll see about that... I can tell you this much: It's going to tie up a loose end in the series. And the main thing about this game is how it delivers its difficulty(which is quite high) in different ways at the same time, mainly gym leaders for example; have AIs at starting with 165 for Gym 1 DAYUM! and combined that they have the top quality pokemon like standard sets for some pokes and annoying sets for others or just powerful sets for some, combine that with the fact that they don't just have for example "water/flying then water/ground" for Gym 1, he has the newly made into Water/Dragon Dratini with dragon dance and a good attacking set! Combine that with the fact that the levels are no joke and this hack will be a trip to hell yet a glorious glimpse at heaven after you beat a gym without losing a pokemon. ~~Features/Progress~~ Beta as a whole(only goes up to your first Colress Battle) Trainers(up to Colress)(including gyms and their sprite changes)-92%(Missed one trainer in the begining battling(route 20) route and the castelia sewers runts) Wild Edited Pokemon-85%(Missed the castelia outside and sewers) Editing of the pokemon- 95%(missed route 4) Editing pokemon movesets- 25%(only got starters and route 1) ~~Screenshots~~ ~~Credits~~ KazoWar- His tools changed this hack so much especially in terms of spriting and trainer editing The Creators of PRC(I will find their names/usernames later)- Their rom editor changed this romhack so much , 75% of this hack wouldn't have been able to work without PRCs help, especialy with move edits like Lunar Dance.   9. PokeJoke DS Summary: PokeJoke DS is a parody of Pokemon games. It is a hack of Pokemon Diamond. The main difference between this and the original game is the text. Nearly every line is different. Because of this, you should actually talk to everyone. If you do not talk to people, it would be very similar to the original game. The differences in text include dialog, Pokemon names, move names, item names, town/route names, etc. There are also some slight differences in the maps and sprites.   11. Dear Readers Hi. Some of you may recognise me from around here or on PokeCommunity. I am a University Student and have been passionate about Pokémon ever since Blue game out. I have spent the past few months working on a Crystal mod (that I could share if anyone wants) to give me some experience and I have now upgraded to working on Emerald. What is it? Well basically, it is a revamp of Emerald. By this I mean that there is no new storyline and no new pieces of text (unless someone can give a good link to a tutorial on it). The trainer names will be edited and references to trainers (such as changing SIDNEY to Sidney in aTrainer, the text will be changed to call him Sidney as opposed to SIDNEY) will be changed to reflect this. It will aim to let you get all of the available Pokémon that existed in Gen 3. In addition to this, many of them will have their typing and stats edited to, whilst maybe not be wholly balanced, make any one within the game viable. For example Gyarados has been changed to Water/Dragon Charizard is now a Fire/Dragon Pinsir is Bug/Dark Pidgeot is pure Flying etc... A lot of Pokémon have stats edited. In this game, the starters are Numel, Cacnea and Wailmer and as such, I have ensured that Camerupt, Cacturne and Wailord have BST's of 540. What I really want to do and what I am striving to do is make a game where within reason, you can use a team of Pokémon that you love and enjoy without having to compromise. Trade evolutions are being worked on - some will be level based, others not so much. Particular evolutionary note to Eevee. Sun Stone = Espeon, Moon Stone = Umbreon Where am I at? Right now, I have got the gyms up until Lavaridge Town edited, and most of the trainers up til Mauville are edited. In addition, WIld Pokemon are edited up until Mauville I believe. One sprite has been edited, and that is Professor Birch, to try and resemble Zetsu from the popular Naruto franchise. Design goals: To make a hack that doesn't feel too much like a hack. I don't want legendaries thrown at me on route 29 or anything like that. To make Pokemon movepools more optimal for the first playthrough. This means moving egg moves or tutor moves that would generally only be obtained after the first playthrough into the base movepool. To make all 493 Pokemon obtainable without trading. This means editing all trade evolutions. To introduce a level of difficulty harder than the original. Trainers have more custom moves, AI levels are higher in some places, levels scale up faster, and gym leaders and the Team Rocket executives should feel like boss fights. Starter Pokemon evolve later than they did, but they also learn better coverage moves than before. To be more friendly towards monotype teams by varying Pokemon available much more. To buff some of the less usable Pokemon. This needs to be done to make up for the increased difficulty, otherwise some total losers like Ledian would go from "pretty bad" to "would be a liability to have on any team." To add more depth to some aspects of the game, like having more trainers able to use items on their Pokemon (either healing items, buff items like X-Attack, or status healing items) or having more Pokemon that you fight hold items that make the battles more interesting. More Pokemon will be found with items in the wild, and more total types of Pokemon will be found in each route. To still feel like we're in Johto.   18. So, with the discovery of how to edit the palette files of 5th generation Pokémon sprites, the production of Pokémon Multichrome has begun. The completion of this version will eventually lead on to the production of Pokémon Monochrome, which will hopefully be a full edit including new, original Fakémon, but first let's get this one finished. See attached an edit that has already been made to the Feraligatr chain, as an example of what I'm looking for. Changes I plan to make (list subject to change): Type Palette Abilities Movepool Evolution method Egg group Wild encounter location Wild hold item New items/item locations What I would like is help from you guys to use your creative brains on me, to give me suggestions for the following: Type Changes Bear in mind that I'm going to try to keep the proportions as unchanged as possible - I don't want to increase the number of any one type by too much. As a general rule, if you change a Pokémon to Fire-type, choose an already existing Fire-type to have its type changed to something else. I'll update soon with a proportions list showing how many of each type there is, and any ideas for type changes are welcome. Along with the type change, please feel free to suggest new moves for the movepool to match the type, or anything else relevant to the type change, but when you're picking moves, remember to use the logic of the game - don't stick in a move that the Pokémon wouldn't be able to physically use were it in real life. Note that I'm planning on changing the types of all of the starters to made catchable elsewhere, which leads to my second point: Starters I don't intend to make any of the starters obtainable at the start of Multichrome actual starters. I want non-starter, three-chain Pokémon who have had their types changed to Grass, Fire and Water. Throw your ideas for these out there. Try to choose Pokémon whose final evolutions have total base stats of about 525-535, as these are the boundaries for third-evolution starters. The Pokémon don't have to have stats within these boundaries, just as close to them as possible, OR if the Pokémon has lower total stats but has them in strategic places, aka Speed and Attack/Sp. Attack, this is fine too. I can always change the stats if they don't quite fit the boundaries, but I don't want to do too much stat editing in this game, at the moment (although stat changing may happen at some point in the future on this). Evolution Method Alternatives It seems that with an edit like this, it would be totally feasible to trade to and from this edit as long as the other version was the same version of that edit - neither game would know anything was wrong. However, I can understand that not many people would be playing this and it would be a little silly to stop people from getting a Gengar just because nobody else they know is playing Multichrome. So Pokémon that require trading to evolve should have their evolution methods changed. On this note, I'm also open to having new evolutions added on to an already existing chain (aka Ponyta evolving into Keldeo through some method, for example). This might be helpful in allowing all the Pokémon in the national dex to be obtainable in the game, which is something I'd be interested in doing. Complete overhauls Alternatively, if you have one particular Pokémon in mind that you'd like to change, you could also do a complete overhaul on that Pokémon in particular, if you prefer. Include its new type, evolution methods, egg groups (although I don't expect many of these will change), movepools (including level-up, TM and egg) and abilities. Try to pick a Pokémon that will work well with its currently existing stats. You can make as many overhauls as you like! As of yet, this is all I need from you guys, but feel free to make any other suggestions related to the edit that you have in mind. I'm also looking for full-time project partners who are interested in working on this with me. Hack created by Suicune™ Features The 386 ~ Obviously since this is a "386 hack" by some names, you will be able to capture and register each individual Pokémon through some method, whether it's via capturing, events or evolutions all Pokémon are obtainable! Difficulty ~ Since this is a hack is intended to be challenging, the whole difficulty dynamic has been increased with a steep level curve throughout the game. All boss battles including Gym Leaders, Elite Four members, Rivals and so forth have been edited to be much more of a threat, using a strong AI coupled with tactical movesets these battles are much more of a challenge which will require you to train your Pokémon and stock up on items! The same applies to all other regular trainers throughout the game who will use specific items which will go against your favor! Roserade ~ Although this may not merit a section to be dedicated too, it's worth pointing out that Shuckle has been replaced by Roserade. This means that Roserade is included in the game with the stats, moves and other characteristics from Diamond & Pearl! Sprites ~ Those old Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald sprites are far outdated by the current standard in Black and White, which is why I have individually replaced almost every existing sprite in-game with the more modern and fresh sprites that are found in the later games. This gives the game a less dated feel and makes the gameplay a little more enjoyable! You can find a couple of images below as examples of these sprite substitutions. Evolutionary Changes ~ As usual I have change several evolutionary methods which make it much easier for to evolve specific Pokémon that were inaccessible. Some methods such as happiness have been replaced with a simple level evolution or an evolution that is triggered by using a specific elemental stone. You can find all the details on this in the Document compiled with the download! Abilities ~ Some Pokémon have had their Abilities tweaked or completely changed, the decisions have been based on both feedback and personal opinions. So you can now have a Magneton that will have Levitate as it's ability! Again, these changes can be found with the Documents. Attack Power & Type Changes ~ There have been a number of attacks that have been changed in terms of Power, PP and/or Accuracy, this applies mainly to those attacks with poor power or accuracy, for example GrassWhistle which originally had an Accuracy of 55 now has an Accuracy of 100. There have also been several type changes to specific Pokémon that I feel would benefit their stats or attacks, for example Charizard is now Fire/Dragon and can learn several Dragon type moves. Event Pokémon ~ Those one-off Pokémon including Starters, Legendaries etc have all been implemented as events scattered around Hoenn. You can battle and capture all of these but be careful, you only get once chance! You can refer to the documents for details on their locations. Miscellaneous Changes ~ There have also been changes to Genders, Movesets, Stats and more, these changes can all be found within the various Documents. Media Check out some snapshots from the game! Hints & Tips On Route 117, Triathlete Maria is re-matchable and will use a Blissey which can provide a tremendous amount of experience when training in preparation for a Gym battle! You can also battle Wild Chansey, Wigglytuff and Clefable on Route 115 who give plenty of Experience Points. Once you've obtained your Fishing Rod from the Fisherman in Dewford Town, try using it on the surrounding earlier Routes and Cities, it will provide you with some useful Water Pokemon early in game rather than waiting to obtain Surf! You can find the locations via the Document too. You can obtain all Six Elemental Stones (Leaf, Water, Thunder, Fire, Sun & Moon) At Lavaridge City! Once You've defeated The Elite Four and the Champion, when you make your way to The Battle Frontier make sure you check out some of the houses. Game IDs for you cheaters I've had people message me about what the Game IDs are to use with their cheats for those of you that don't know how to find out these are the Game IDs for the Beta v2 games Black: IRBJ-44483E75 White: IRAJ-B8FA503D Save Issues Desmume To use your old saves with this translations in this emulator try the following: [*]Make sure the .save file name is the same as the .nds [*]If it's still in Japanese, in-game go to Options and change 'Button Mode(5th option down)' DSTT Error - 4: From what I've read up in the forum (specifically ddc1's post) the problem involves the 'True Game ID' being different which is why your game won't load. Do the following to fix it: Download the following package Here Use ttd.exe to open up the following files in your flashcard 'extinfo.dat' and 'infolib.dat' (Always make a backup in case something goes wrong for whatever reason) Search for the Clean B/W Game IDs (Black: IRBJ-5F0EA646 / White: IRAJ-0203EC40 ) <== Make a note of these cause you'll need to come back to these Move your game to the same folder and run eNDryptS Advanced(Run as administrator if you have issues) when the menu comes up press '1' it should do some work and say ' Decrypted --> Encrypted (X)' and at the Bottom it should say something along the lines of sucessfully patched. Press any button to take you back to the main menu and hit '1' again this time it should say the reverse 'Encrypted --> Decrypted' Go back to ttd.exe and replace the Game IDs you found earlier with these Replace them with the following ( Black: IRBJ-7902E2EE / White: IRAJ-6F795E87 ) <== These will change with every patch but i'll keep these updated every patch right now these are for Beta v2 Save and move game back to your flashcard and play! P.S.
