HELP! Just injected a GBA rom of Pokemon FireRed as a VC cia to my o2DS, running cfw 11.6 and god mode 9. I've fixed the save error you get at the beginning of the game (but message still appears as per usual), and used gm9 to dump the save file to my SD card. I tried to open the save file (linked here) to edit using PkHex but I get this error message, and it just opens to my default save (pokemon sun). I've tried changing the file extension to .pk3, .sav (instead of .gbavc.sav) and even .pk7, but I still get the error. I was hoping someone would know a way of fixing this, or otherwise another way to edit my gba vc save. Cheers 00040000002DEE00.gbavc.sav

(I'm new around here.) Ok; I have this little problem with my Pokémon Silver game from the Virtual Console. Non of my Pokémons shows any data from a met location. The save manager that I use is JKSM and the I'm currently using the latest PKHex update (171205). I downloaded ReignOfComputer's PC Master. I opened the Gen 2 pk2 files and injected it in my Ultra Sun. But whenever I tried to wondertrade it, it won't trade. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

I recently replayed the game and used a Poliwag on my team that was transferred from VC Yellow. Since becoming champion, I noticed PKHeX marks my Poliwrath as illegal due to the Alola Champion Ribbon being "invalid".

Title pretty much explains it. I'd like to change Brendan's name to Sapphire, and Wally's to Emerald. I'm sure it could probably be accomplished via hex editing, but I don't know if there would be a character limit, like a rename for Wally could only have 5 characters to keep from messing up the text boxes. I wouldn't imagine that would be the case, since the text boxes seem to be generated to accommodate the length of the player's name (i.e. adding an extra if the you used all ten spaces when naming the character, as opposed to three or four, pushing the dialogue after the player's name forward, if that makes any sense) but I'm not entirely sure. Coding pros, got any suggestions?

So I've injected a region-free cia of FireRed into my system, and it works fine (aside from the obligatory 'save file is corrupted' message that does nothing at all) But when I go to back it up via JKSM to do some editing, I get an error stating 'error opening save archive'. I tested with a USA version of LeafGreen, and got the same result, however the cias of Yellow and Crystal work just fine. I also have a cia of Emerald that I have yet to test, but I'd imagine it would get the same result. Is it something about the GBA games that messes things up? How can I fix it? EDIT: I managed to somehow get it backed up (through a slew of error messages) and got my editing done, but now I can't figure out how to import it back in. I probably just suck, and the solution is simple, but for the life of me I can't get Decrypt9 to cooperate. EDIT 2: Apparently the Decrypt9 error message means nothing, because it imports regardless. Well then. At least I know what to do now.

As said in January I have a theory explaining why VC Crystal will not released this year: Japanese Crystal had a unique compatibility with Mobile trainer (ancestor of Wi-Fi services but with the Mobile phone in 2G) which was used to trade Pokemon to distribute events (such as Celebi GS Ball or Odd Egg event), to battle online or access other functions. And my theory is that GF is actually working translating this in Wi-fi technology. This is a very hard thing to do and to make profitable of that they'll sold the game separately keeping the GS Ball event for that too. What do you think about? Are you also over hype by the GS VC release?

Hello, I have injected Pokemon Prism to my VC and have played, but i want to cheat my Pokemon. I used JKSV to extract the save and have cheated the saves with VBA. Then i exported the Battery File and imported this files back again: rsm1.dat, rsm2.dat, and the cheated sav.dat. I start up the Game and the message apears "The save file is Corrupt ..." and my SaveGame is lost... Then i injected the unmodified backup and the same .... Can anyone help me Please ... Thanks

So I have a VC Pokemon Green version (Midori JPN) and I want to trade some Pokemon to another Gen 1 VC game like Blue or Yellow and then use poketransfer to Pokebank and Gen 7 games. I did my first try with a lvl 5 starter untouched Bulbasaur but I had problem and the recepsionist didn't allowed me to make a trade, I thought it was a problem because of the JPN VC game with a PAL VC one so I just drag the Bulbasaur file with PKHex on the VC Blue one without a legality check. I tried again and failed again with the same message. So I thought lets check this buddy Bulbasaur out on PKHex and then I found that the nickname tab had a check but without a nickname, uncheck it and PKHex told me it was legal. So went back on my game and I was ready to finally trade the buddy over so I can get him on Pokebank and then I found out that after the uncheck on nickname tab JPN Bulbasaur got his English name as Bulbasaur and not some kanji Went with some other JPN pk1 files that I got from some threads here and they have the same problem. My question is does this have any legality issue if transfer on Gen 7? Does they got their JPN name back or not? And should they be with JPN and not with ENG?
