My original Pokémon game. Got this game on Christmas Day of 1998. This is the original save file I had as a kid. I've played this game off and on since that day and as I got better at playing Pokémon I taught my Pokémon better moves so I could use them in Pokémon stadium. Enjoy a part of my childhood. Though I have no idea how the battery in this game has not died yet in over 20 plus years now lol. Glad I got it backed up now so I can share it with all of you and share with my future family to. Enjoy !!! Note: Great for use in the Pokémon Stadium Also has all three of the starters traded in from different save files *Plan to do a update in the future as I still play this game.

Old copy of Japanese Red that I got when I was visiting Japan while in college. The save file is only at the 3rd gym but they did not challenged the gym yet. Feel free to finish the game were they left off in the 90's. Enjoy the weird gen 1 Japanese's Pokémon sprites. Enjoy !!! If you have any issues please let me known.

I recently purchased a used copy of Pokemon Red off eBay, and the cartridge miraculously still had a save on it. The file belonged to "タイガ", they had beaten the game, caught a few Pokemon, it's a pretty ordinary little save file. This cart ended up bleeding into another project I had going on, which was restoring an old Kemco Pikachu link cable. So before the save battery died, I traded over all of タイガ's Pokemon to a flash cart, and saved them onto PKHex. I've uploaded the save file as well as the individual PK1 files, have fun! You can watch the video I made detailing the entire process here:

This page contains the first ever publicly available savefile that was dumped from an original Pokemon Red cart, which was used to distribute YOSHIRA Mew by direct trade. The distribution took place at Toys R Us stores in the United States from the 8th to 12th of December 1999. The players who were allowed to obtain a Mew were determined among the first 1500 customers at each Toys R Us store on 26 November 1999, where they were able to receive a special "Peel & Win" sticker card (pictured above). 200 of these cards at each store contained the text "Caught Me!" underneath the sticker of Mew. These Mew distribution carts are known to have been either a Red or a Blue cartridge, which were sealed into a GameBoy Pocket with official Nintendo non-tamper security tape. So far only two devices have publicly surfaced on the internet. The first one was a Blue cartridge still sealed into a silver GBP, of which pictures have been on the internet for several years (pictured above). This device is said to have been lost in shipping during ownership change in 2013. The second one is a Red cartridge that has since been cut loose from its GBP, but the Nintendo security tape is still intact on the cartridge (pictured above). This Red cartridge was first seen on Reddit several months back, which is owned by a former Toys R Us employee who personally distributed Mews from the cartridge back in 1999. I recently contacted this Redditor, and offered to ship her my cart dumper in order to get the savefile dumped and safely preserved. As save data in the first two generations rely on a low-power battery, after approximately 18 years it was clear that the savefile would not have survived much longer. Due to this and the extreme rarity of these devices, this may have very well been a one time opportunity to ever preserve save data from one of these carts. Every Mew has identical IV stats: 5 HP, 10 Attack, 1 Defense, 12 Speed, and 5 Special. Every Mew in this savefile has the Original Trainer name of YOSHIRA (none YOSHIRB). I can only speculate that perhaps those on the Blue cartridges contained YOSHIRB Mews. The Trainer IDs are all unique however, and imply the Mews were generated in groups of 5 (eg. 16385, 16386, 16387, 16388, 16389, then 16443, 16444, 16445, 16446, 16447, and so on). My theory is that the Mews were generated with a "Mew machine", which was a quicker method used at other event locations to distribute YOSHIRA/YOSHIRB Mews. We know these machines distributed Mews with TIDs that incremented by 1, so due to the Trainer IDs we see here, we could assume that each savefile had different Mews(or at least that several different savefiles may exist). So other than TID, the Mews on this savefile are all identical. The way I figure it, a cart was inserted in a Mew machine, a party full of 5 were generated, the cart was removed, and while someone manually placed those 5 Mews in a PC Box, another cart was in the machine having it's party filled. I don't figure it could have been practical to give every cart unique Mews, but multiple carts were filled to have a wider variation of existing TIDs. After a handful of carts were full of Mews, their savefiles were likely copied among the hundreds of carts send to Toys R Us stores. Keep in mind though, this is purely my speculation based of the information we have. All the traded pokemon from this savefile had been previously released, so only the Mews remain. Box 11 and 12 are totally empty. Box 5 and 10 are each missing one or two Mews. Boxes 1 to 4, and 6 to 9 remain fully untouched. I did return a few Mews from the party to their proper box slot, so the TIDs line up as they were originally. Any oddball TIDs that couldn't be matched up were placed in the Party. I also want to note that I did request the rom to be dumped as well, and it was 100% identical to any other retail Red cart. While we were 99% positive this was obviously the case, it's still nice to have that confirmation. In the past some people have speculated whether or not the rom was special and would have the PC filled with Mews if a New Game was started. Once again, I want to give special thanks to Jenn from Reddit, because without her generosity, we may have never been able to obtain one of these savefiles. She did promise to supply her personal experience/memory of the event and any details, so when she does, that will be shared here as well.

Please Note: This save file is completily different from the other Fire Red save file I have uploaded in the past. That one was my younger brothers file. This one was mine when I was a kid. This file has been completed but still has a lot of cool things on it and lotssss of personal memoires. -Has a good amount of shiny pokemon -lots of pokemon with ribbons on them - Lots of diffent pokemon from all the diffent gene 3 games that I traded in - Also has a good amount of event pokemon on here to There are most likely other things on here that you will find that I have missed here but enjoy this old save file!

  7. After sending Pokémon from my Crystal VC save to my Yellow VC save back and forth, it seems only the PC box I had last chosen on Yellow has Pokémon in it but all others are empty. PikaSav and PKHeX still shows the Pokémon are there too, the only workaround currently is using PHBankGB to store all my Pokémon before making edits… but I have read this is apparently a fault of RBY and not PKHeX, but I already was 4 gyms into the game and using a few of my boxes? It sounded like it only happened if you tried editing boxes before you changed a PC box for the first time. Does anyone have a solution to this?

  11. I've played a few Soul Link's so far and every time I start my play session for the day it's always kind of an annoying process. Loading up 2 separate emulators, 2 roms, having to rekeybind the controllers every time. I was wondering if someone would be able to make a program that could make it easier. If your unfimiliar with a Soul Link Nuzlocke, heres the rules. 1- Any Pokémon that faints is considered "dead," and must be released or stored in a specified PC box for "dead" Pokémon. 2- You can only catch the first Pokémon encountered in each area, and none else. If the first Pokémon encountered faints or flees, there are no second chances. 3- You must also nickname all of your Pokémon, for the sake of forming "stronger emotional bonds." 4- In a new area, the first encounters for both players will be, "linked," together until death. 5- If one Pokémon in a linked pair is placed in the PC, it's Soul Link partner must be placed in the PC as well. 6- If one Pokémon in a linked pair dies, it's Soul Link partner is considered dead as well. 7- If one player fails to capture their first encounter in an area, the second player must forfeit their encounter in their corresponding area. 8- Across both players parties, primary typings may not be repeated. Basically what I'm looking for is a program that emulates 2 roms side by side and be able to control them individually. I've thought of a few features to make it better. Features -Emulators from all consoles built in - Ex. VBA, Desmume, and Citra -Saves both roms under 1 "project" and loads them on the same side every time -Type Chart ready -Online Remote Play - Be able to join your friends session online to see and control one of the games. -Games connected locally so you can trade and battle -Database where you can input your linked pokemon pairs and where you caught them -Built in Pokedex Database (Not necessary but would be helpful) -Program reads both your teams and displays them between the game (I'm aware that's not an easy ask but if it's possible, why not) I feel like except for a couple of them this is a completely possible thing to create. I know it probably wont happen but I just thought I'd get the idea out there. I love doing Soul Links and I'm so happy people found a way to make Pokemon Co-op. Thanks for your time.

This is Red's team since Gen 4 with perfect IVs and the same movements, abilities, and objects that trainer Red has. This is based on HeartGold/SoulSilver and you can use it in any main pokemon game since Gen 4. Tips: If in a 3DS or in a Nintendo Switch use Hombrew with caution. Warning: Do not use in any game before Gen 3. PKHeX credits to: PKHeX.exe
  14. Greetings, I'd like to ask for help about editing my generation 3 sav files (FRLG and Emerald), I can't seem to modify/change a pokemon ability in generation 3 sav files, but I was able to do it with generation 4 sav files using pokehax. I just want to know what's wrong and why I can't modify pokemon ability in gen 3 sav; I've already tried using other sav editors like a-save, and pokecrafter to no avail. I'd really appreciate if someone can help me solve this since I've been stuck with this problem for more than 2 weeks now. Thanks in advance.
  15. Is anyone else running just Gyarados and Kadabra for their team. I find they are OP, and easily beat everything, with a little grinding to evolve them. Discuss
  16. So when I try edited my virtual console save for Pokemon Red or Yellow and reload it, it only show's I have 1 Box in the PC with Pokemon and the rest are empty is there any reason for this? I'm using SaveDataFiler to extract and import the save and using pkhex to edit the save.

  18. Question, what are the legendaries in fire red? I would like to know because I might get the game. I love all pokemon games but I would like to know the legendaries that someone can get in the game without the events, or cheating.
  19. So I'm making a hack battle in Pokemon White and it is Red in Grimsley's room. How do you get it so during the battle he doesn't enter at times and say something. E.g. Red enters from side after using one attack against his first PKMN "I never thought you would use that attack! How do you make this NOT happen?
  20. Pokemon - Red VGC EX plus Alpha edition ( December 2011 ) * gameboy romhack of pokemon red US/EU * this is the final version of the romhack i made of "pokemon red" for the gameboy entertainment system !! just to give a brief overview of what i changed: 1. edited the types of pokemon that appear on the title screen 2. edited the types of pokemon your rival collects at different points in the game ( only the starter is the same ) 3. edited some of the gym leaders / elite 4's pokemon and some of their moves 4. gym leaders give you the same TMs upon defeat...but you get 6 instead of 1 ( you can sell extra's for money ) 5. edited the casino prizes and cost ( different pokemon and items ) 6. edited all of the in-game trades ( you get porygon instead of jynx ) 7. edited the types of items all of the pokemarts sell ( most shops carry TMs now ) 8. did a major edit of all of the wild pokemon encounters ( makes it a lot more fun to catch em' all ) i would like to thank "swamperttools" and "Harrison" for their wonderful romhacking tools !!
  21. I've been combing all over the place and can't find a straight answer on this, but here we go. Is it possible to make a red pokemon other than Gyarados? It doesn't need to be legal or anything, just something that can be used in a personal game, because it would look nice, basically. I have Pokesav and can use it fine, but can't figure out what I would have to do to make that, if it's possible. If someone could perhaps point me in the right direction, that would be lovely. P.S. Point me in the right direction if I posted this in the wrong section >_<
  22. I just loaded up my red Gyarados in pokesav and it seems to not use any known PID Type. Its PID/IVs are PID: 3820976739 HP: 19 ATK: 5 DEF: 24 SDEF: 2 SATK: 13 SPD: 16 When I open PID/IV the pid it has is not shown in the entire list. Could it be using a new PID/IV type? Can it not have any at all? As in when the game sets the PId/iv it might do a check, if PID and Trainer ID's not equal shiny then regeneate pid. I hope we can figure out whats going on here.
  23. Well I caught them with Action Replay and when I put them through the Legality Checker, it comes up as "Hacked or Unknown Pokemon" Since all of their IV's are 30, their PIDs must be the case. I put Pikachu as an example in the attachment. Anyone know why the PID is like that? Red's Pikachu HGSS.pkm
  24. Hi, I am looking for the red and green anniversary pichu egg, but i cant seem to be able to get it to work after downloading the PKM file, can some one help me get it and trade it to me? Ill offer events thanks
