i didnt see any thing refering to this. i do all the work on pokesav but i cant get it to activate the code on my ARDS. could i be over looking something??

Hey guys, I no longer have my DS Lite, and I just got a DSi. My problem is I was used to using Pokesav with my action replay on Diamond, and now the AR is no longer compatible with the DSi. They still haven't made a AR for the DSi, so is there any other way to use Pokesav with Platinum on the DSi? I know you can use R4's and stuff but they dont have any legit ones made for the DSi either. Im not sure if this is the right place to post this, but if it is help please?

Some of the text on my pokesav program comes up as symbols. I think this is because my computer can't read the text, but I'm not sure. Random question. A long long time ago, I remember reading something about how Nintendo attacked Pokesav.org a while ago (Before I was here). Something about how they wanted you to remove their events or something. What happened? Because obviously we still have them. And yes, I just remembered this. -
I suck at pokesav; I admit it. :bidoof: I need someone to explain how to create a hacked pokemon look as legit as possible. BUT PLEASE EXPLAIN GOOD. Either explain it good, or dont post at all. ***Also i have the most trouble giving the pokemon its stats, ev's, and iv's, so please explain that mostly.*** Ps: dont say "go to youtube, they will explain it to you", because they just do the basics (and theyre not good at making a legit pokemon). I just want to know how to create a hack pokemon as legit as possiblle. Just tell me what i need to know and how to create a legit pokemon. -

I see a bunch of Wondercards for Japanese events on the main website, and they are just delicious, and I'm wondering... Will they work on the English Platinum? And, if I were to export AR codes, which options do I tick on the Export ARDS menu?

So, I was editing some simple stuff for my friends the other day and came across some problems. Firstly, I dumped someones save file so that I could get the .pkm of a Bidoof obtained from the GTS that looked like it might be one of those events. When I opened the save in the editor, the following things happened: 1. The party was MISSING three Pokemon, including the Bidoof. 2. Boxes 4 through 10 were wiped and set to the same wallpaper. Secondly, I dumped another friends save file to change some nicknames around for them. Oddly, nothing seemed wrong about the boxes or Pokemon this time, so I thought nothing of it. However, after I had finished making the changes and reapplied the save to his cart, the wierd stuff happened. Some of the Pokemon I had nicknamed were as though they hadn't changed, others had vanished completely, and others were nicknamed and duplicated in the box about five or six times. I tried reapplying the save again after some other minor changes, and less wierd behavior happened, though it still refused to nickname some Pokemon even though I clearly changed them in the editor. Anyone else had wonky behavior like this?

I use Rudolph's Wifi Backup tool.

I am looking for a c++ programmer who might be interested in helping me out in programming PokesavDS. I would prefer who has at least a few years in general programming, C/C++, Java, or C# are all good candidates. I personally have about 6 or 7 years of experience in programming but less is fine. I would prefer someone who knows their way around C/C++ fairly well... I don't want to discourage anyone with any programming experience from offering. But if you do offer do not do so halfheartedly, this isn't simple programming. Be expected to deal with recursive functions, classes, file handling, packed structures, bit shifting/manipulation, linked lists, UI Design, and all without the support of standard library functions (including streams like cout and cin). I will probably only need the help of one maybe two people. As with all things, to many cooks spoils the stew. If I do select you I will probably PM you with some generic programming questions to be sure your the real deal. While I have nothing against giving out the source to PokesavDS. I don't have time to help everyone setup the environment to compile and test it, as well as you get some leeway in deciding parts of the design. EDIT: There is no pay for this, only do it if your really interested. etc etc

I will be doing this in the Pokésav way in which I did previosuly back at the Pokésav forum. Previously I didn't accept AR code requests, but I think it's only fair that I actually do this now because users were before asking for AR codes. Since A LOT of people have trouble with this, I will redo everything that needs to be done so Japanese characters can be used on your computer. Here we go. Windows XP First, you'll need to make sure you acquired the Windows install CD (how, I do not care). Next you must go to Start > Control Panel > Regional and Language Options. Click on the Languages tab of the window and check off the "Install files for East Asian languages" and hit apply. After you have installed the languages and restarted your computer you'll want to download the AppLocale installer and install it. Now that you have everything all set, gather your Japanese and get ready. Start up AppLocale, find your copy of Pokesav, and set the language to this: Now just find the spot that you need to put your Japanese in, and paste. If you have any questions/problems, just post them here. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE UNNECESSARY TOPICS! Windows Vista In Windows Vista, using Japanese text in Pokesav is even easier. All you need to do is set your regional Unicode settings to Japanese. To do this, follow these steps, accepting UAC prompts as necessary: Go to the Control Panel (Start > Control Panel). Select the Change keyboards or other input methods link under Clock, Language, and Region. At the top, select the Administrative tab. Click the Change System Locale... button. Change the drop down list to Japanese (Japan) and confirm. Windows will then prompt you to restart your computer. After you're done using Japanese characters with Pokesav, change this setting back to what it was before, as it could affect some settings on your computer. Enjoy.

Hey! Let me start off by letting you view three pokemon of mine that I am proud of: Slaking with Choice Band -Giga Impact Honchkrow with Scope Lens and Super Luck ability -Night Slash -Sucker Punch -Aerial Ace -Dark Pulse Blissey with Leftovers and Serene Grace -Seismic Toss -Minimize -Thunder Wave -Softboiled Slaking is a VERY powerful normal pokemon and with the VERY powerful Giga Impact it makes it even more insane! And then the choice band amplifies that power by 150%, so this attack is insanely powerful, if this pokemon's speed stat is high, its a greater starter to hit them hard and quick! Honchkrow is focused on critical hits, which are really common with its Super Luck ability, Scope Lens, and Night Slash attack. Easily a lucky powerhouse. Blissey only needs to focus on speed and, its greatest asset, HP. Blissey is basically impenetrable from a single attack or a few because of its enormous HP stat! Who needs defense stats when HP covers it? And even then, minimize and thunder wave on the opponent makes the "defense" even less penetrable. Softboiled for any patchwork jobs, and seismic toss, which gives a constant attack power so there's no need at all for attack stats! Great defense pokemon to be the backbone of the team, the last one. Please comment on these!

I think I read somewhere about ARDS or Pokesav being able to leave a "trace" on a [.sav] file, showing that the save was "tampered" with. Is this true?

Hey sorry if I put this in the wrong forum heading couldn't figure out where to ask PokeSav related questions... Anyway to the question For the Platinum version I noticed there are a couple things that are grayed out so they aren't accessible, such as Event Flags, the Completed version of the pokedex and palpark. I was wondering if that still needs to be coded or if some of them only open up when your sav file has reached a certain point in the game. Thanks
