1. The saveeditor can work with the normal mode. However, in the mode that uses pkhex, when it says operation paused and I open the pkhex, it cannot read the main file and does not show anything. I am pretty sure I downloaded the latest pkhex. I have also downloaded the modified cyber save editor. The pkhex file was extracted to the same file as the saveeditor. Is there anything wrong?
2. For ORAS in the new update I get this error whenever I press event flags. See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Value of '65285' is not valid for 'Value'. 3. if i use pkhex and get legal pokemon from it do i get kick out of the wifi competition events because they know that the pokemon is not legal or they just going to do nothing and let me keep doing what im doing? pls give an answer.
4. I would like to rebattle clemont in pokemon x to change my team for the badge memory girl. I was able to do this with the other gyms except for clemont because bonnie is on the bottom floor when you beat him. I removed his badge but can't rebattle him because she is still there. Does anyone know the event flags I have to edit in order to remove her? Thank you.
5. So I used pkhex to take away badges in pokemon x so i can rebattle the gym leaders, but when i take away clemonts badge, the 5th one, i cant rebatttle him... He is still in the same spot but his sister is not next to him anymore. Does anyone know if i have to uncheck a flag or something to be able to rebattle him... Thank you.
6. ***SOLVED: I tried it, you can't back track, needs latest save.*** Hi! New user, and new to homebrew launcher (got it today on my original 3DS at v.11) I managed to use PKHex to generate Pokemon for me in my Pokemon X save, but I was wondering, is it possible to play old saves by using old "main" files? For example: I have main A, my current save, no Pokemon generated. I take main A, load it up on PKHex, generate a Diancie, export this main file I'll call main B (while having a copy of the original, unPKhexed main A in my Desktop) I load main B in my game, Diancie is there, save the game, and back this new save, making a new main called main C. Am I stuck with main C, my latest save, or can I load back main A if I wanted to (with no problems)? I feel like the answer is that I'm stuck with main C since if I start trading away pokemon or use pokebank, then suddenly revert back to main A, it might cause issues, but I could be wrong since I have no idea if this kind of thing still applies when using homebrew. I didn't want to risk losing my saves by trying it if anything goes wrong so I am asking it here first. ***SOLVED: I tried it, you can't back track, needs latest save.***
7. The title says it all, really. When I export a Gen3 SAV file, the size of the file becomes 192 KB so VBA-M doesn't recognize it. Help would be appreciated.
8. I could not really find the answer I am looking for so I thought I would post in here. So today I downgraded my old 3ds to version 9.2 and tried following to get PKHex to work but when I try to open the internet browser it just says communication failure. So I read more info and I see that I should be opening all of this in Homebrew and trying like that but in the Homebrew menu there is no option to open my game from the cartridge as well as the internet browser is not an option to open so I do not understand the steps to open from Homebrew when I cant open my game from it. I was wondering if I am missing any steps or am I just dumb haha. I deleted emunand because I used that to backup my 3ds so I cannot find the problem. Or does this way not work anymore? If you need any photos or anything I can post them. Josh Edit: Tried RAM2Sav and same thing. Here is a screen shot of my root folder Here is a screen shot of my 3ds folder Edit 2: Here is a picture of my current version.
9. I am aware that Pokegen is most likely no longer supported and has been abandoned in favor of moving on to the newer gens PKHex has ascended to a level that some onlookers of Project Pokemon never even thought would happen three years ago, with the widespread availability of 3DS hacking and knowledge we've gotten recently it should come as no surprise that most efforts have been shifted towards research on XY/ORAS and eventually Sun and Moon later this year... However, I wanted to bring Pokegen back to everyone's attention in hopes of making it as streamlined and useful as PKHex has become, some features that come to mind are: Box Data Report Showdown Import/Export options (Including Battle Box option for 5th Gen) Realized Savegame Editor option (This thread comes to mind, hopefully we actually get intelligent replies here) Basic legality check (If even possible, as far as I know .xfr has gone off of the face of the Earth and the most we'll get is some implementation of Legal.exe) Various other options that might fit under Savegame editor that are seen in PKHex such as Trainer Info, Event Flags, and Hall of Fame Editor At the very least I wanted to rally support for the knowledge of 4th/5th Gen Savegames and PKM files, hopefully this can reach the dev(s) to tie up some loose ends myself and the general community would like to see taken care of. Alternatively, I might take it upon myself to implement some of these features so it can be available to everyone, and also to prevent lack of interest and knowledge similarly to Gen 3. :bidoof: Some other things I wanted to refer to: :bidoof: Pokesav Legal.Exe (Abandoned, PokeCheck was able to accurately check PKM files for illegalities) Pokecheck (Which maybe be a majoring factor in why the general community would want this in the first place)
10. Bugs suck, and it's our duty to inform Kaphotics of any such things, but this one is strange. When I start a Platinum save file, I can access the Trainer Info in PKHeX perfectly fine, but I think after I receive my first Pokémon, when I try to access the Trainer Info it comes up with this error about the Value not being valid. Here's a screenshot: And here's what it says when I click on Details: See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Value of '131188' is not valid for 'Value'. Clicking Continue does nothing; it doesn't access the Trainer Info. I do not know if this error applies to any other Gen4 save file (I shall test if necessary), and I apologize if this bug has already reached Kaphotics' attention, but the more bugs that are squashed the better.
11. I don't know if Im blind or skipped some update logs but Im 100% sure that this option was available few months ago. Im talking about [trade number] an [battles won number]. We can edit almost anything but those options are gone ... It was very important for me since I backup my save very frequently (last one was 3 months ago) and I make hundreds of trades weekly. And it looks super fake when numbers never go up (every time i import edited save it goes back to february)
12. So my Fiance and I have been using PK Hex for a while now (a friend of ours, no longer in the same state, actually set it up on a 3DS w couldn't use otherwise), and for several months it all worked fine. A few months or so ago, however, we started getting comm. errors every time we tried to PC In or PC Out. The DS we use for it is on Update 1.7567 and as far as we know has not been updated manually or otherwise since we started using it for PK Hex. For a while we thought maybe Spidertools wasn't working, but I'm not sure anymore. We can't ask our friend, as they're currently in a different state, and we're not sure what else to do. Are we on the wrong update? Did anyone else have this problem? (Our internet is working fine, and we haven't made any changes to our internet, nor moved locations). Any help would be great, and I can try and provide more information as best I can (the DS has a crack in the screen, so I may not be able to navigate to specific pages that require button pushing, so if you guys need something I'll try at least). Thanks
13. Hi all, I was hoping I might be able to find someone here to inject a few .pk6 files for me and trade over the results. I already have the files made, however I lack the tools to inject them myself. If someone may be able to provide a bit of help with this, that would be great!
14. So on wifi-battles stats like "Has 32BP" shows up, and "Has hatched 2329 eggs". Is there any way to modify this number/stat within Pkhex? Its very nice to gen legit pokemon with pkhex, but what good is it if stats like "has hatched 0 eggs" shows up? I would suggest this as a modifiable option within Pkhex:biggrin: It would be unbelieveable to see someone with 10 shiny pokemon and 200 hatched eggs. To make it seem legit, you should be able to modify the number of eggs you have hatched
15. I just realized that PKHeX flags Pokémon as not legit if their origin game is X or Y and they have Contest Stats that are not 0. But surely a Pokémon from XY can have contest stats provided they are transferred to ORAS and are trained/given Pokeblocks/etc no?
16. Hello all. I am new to the forum and overall usage of pkhex. Before buying the equipment and everything I wanted to make sure this does work on 10.7 with home brew and with ORAS. It had me update ORAS so I wanted to make sure this still worked. Thanks in advance
17. (Update) Turns out I don't need that descriptor. Sorry! -- Hi! I was wondering if there is any way to add a value to the "Met:" location drop-down manually or to somehow manipulate it? Thanks in advance. -a
18. There have been many times where I accidentally delete a pokemon, accidentally place a pokemon on a slot that deletes another pokemon, etc. and theres no way to re-do it. I would then have to open the save again to re-do it and I would have to do everything else again which is really annoying. Please add a re-do command/button so I don't have to keep doing this ;-;
19. Basically the title, wanted to know if using the Save Manager homebrew software could be used to export the save data of the Virtual Console versions on Red/Blue/Yellow and edit them on PKHeX.
20. I realize Pkhex doesn't necessarily specialize in the shiny encounter aspect, AND that this is a really stupid question, but I was just curious. <3
21. Sorry for the post spam, I just thought that this would be a neat little feature!:redface:
22. Sorry to bother you again, I love your work..! I just thought this would be a nice function for Wondertrading and whatnot, thank you for viewing..! <3
23. For example say you had a bunch of randomly placed Pokémon in your boxes, then you would click the sort button, then they would all be arranged in order. Seemed like a helpful idea..! C:
24. is there a way of editing stuff like that? Because when we create a pokémon with pkhex, assuming it was an egg per example, the game doesnt't read as one more egg hatched, or when we create a pokémon and put it that it was caught in some route the game doesn't read as one more pokemon obtained, even if we put our TID/SID OT. I think it would be a great function to add to pkhex, a way of editing the count of all those boxes that appear on Battle Spot aswell
25. Anyone know what this symbol means? It appears in the box to transfer a Pokemon game to the computer. Place 2 equal pokemon for comparison but are totally different in one a behind the white image is displayed, i upload a picture to see it yourself
