Just got my 3DS CFW working and got the saves for the Solgaleo and Lunala shiny popped over to upload. The PID says they are not legit, but I have done nothing to them and they are directly from my save (I moved Lunala from my Ultra Sun via Pokémon Bank). I am guessing that it is going to be illegitimate like a few others I brought over from the events, but here they are. Mewtari -

Hey guys sorry for the noobish question but im making a hack for Pokemon white where i want to change the legendary encounters, i'm making a hack with all my favourite pokemon in it which i want to change some of the legendaries for (as i was never keen on any of the horses or on the Genies either) i basically want to change a few, so in the end i want the 3 Legendary birds plus Lugia (i'm thinking of replacing the horses for them) Darkrai and Cressilia (im thinking the two available Genies) but i also want Entei, Raikou, Suicune and Giritina in there, any ideas how i would approach this, thanks in advance!!

What were Entei, Suicune and Raikou before they were revived?
Destati posted a topic in Generation 4
The legend states that Ho-oh revived three Pokemon that lived in its tower when it was burned. The three Pokemon were also given the forms of the three beasts, but they were never always like that (seriously. Suicune could have quenched the flames and Entei couldn't have been burnt). I'm guessing Raikou was an Ampharos, Suicune maybe a Slowking and Entei maybe being an Arcanine (lets say he was crushed by the building then). They could also have been a Jolteon, Vaporeon and Flareon though. But Eevee's not even catchable in the wild. I bet the Mansion owner guy just buys a bunch of them and releases them in his garden...- 272 replies

Hello, I just got my Action Replay up and running for my 3DS, and decided to gen up some Pokemon to test it out. However, I've come into a slight problem: I am able to generate normal Pokemon, ie Ditto and Rhyperior, but when I attempt legendary Pokemon such as Arceus, it wont appear. I'm doing this via making it with Pokegen, generating an AR code with select as the trigger and it being in party slot 2, then loading it into my Action Replay. When in the game though, pressing select will NOT make the Arceus appear in my party, in fact, it won't do anything. Other Pokemon normal Pokemon however, work perfectly fine. Has this happened to anyone else? Or are there any known fixes? Thank you!

Since new legendary Pokemon were created in Generation II, I was always curious what new legendaries* will come and where their palce will be in the whole picture. So as the generations went on, I slowly realised there is some kind of structure or pattern behind it. But first I have to make clear that this is based on the games and has as least as possible to do with what the Anime says as it treats them regarding it's own logic and stories (Thou shall not catch legendaries etc ) I also posted such a thread on another forum some time ago so some things will be copied from there. So, there are obvious "relations" and hidden ones. An obvious relation between legendaries would be: -Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres are a trio. The proof that one can really distinguish those kind of relations, before anything has been said about them officially, OR find ones that are held as secret by the game makers, is the reaction people had after checking Giratina at the time Dialga and Palkia were obvious counterparts, while there wasn't anything told about Giratina: There were 2 kinds of opinions on forums. The few people that checked Giratina's ingame features (base statuses, attacks, levels the attacks are learned, types....) and looked at it's design closely, said: -Giratina is with no doubt the third counterpart to Palkia and Dialga -Dialga, Palkia and Giratina are obviously a TRIO -Giratina will be on the box of the 3rd installment etc.... Everyone else/the majority, answered: -They're not related! With Platinum announced it became clear that the former group was right about this. *Now I have to determine what I mean with legendaries: Every Pokemon normally known as legendary besides the 600TBS (total base stats) events, duos and just very special Pokemon: -MEW* It contains DNA of every other Pokemon -MEWTWO Manmade clone of Mew -CELEBI, JIRACHI, SHAYMIN, MANAPHY Event pokemon ("unobtainable") with special abilities, the regular MEW like Pokemon of it's generation -LATIOS & LATIAS The very rare eon duo -DEOXYS A mutated virus from space -CRESSELIA & DARKRAI Moon phase duo (like the Lati@s) -HEATRAN Piece of molten crap that eats crap (sounds like a potential Deoxys counterpart ) -PHIONE At first it seems like theres no point in it. But with some thinking(DX) I figured that out: Mewtwo is a stronger unnatural version of Mew If they wanted to make the opposite with Manaphy, what would it be? A weaker natural version. Now what's the only natural thing legendaries are missing? Right, reproduction. Mew vs. Arceus You have probably all seen a thread like "Which ones the god?" IMO, they tried to create 2 Pokemon that would represent the real-world's debate about the origin of life. -Scientists belive Mew to be the ancestor of Pokemon -Myths talk about Arceus creating the Universe Theory of Evolution vs Religious creationism =) (The right answer is the third option: They were all created by humans from the real world.) I'm going to list some interesting things about legendaries from each generation, but not the features, that mebmers of a trio have in common which prove the fact of them being a trio (just check their pokedex to see those (similar moveset/levels, base stats, abilities etc)). Generation I +Articuno +Zapdos +Moltres -The Ice, Electric and Fire birds. -They're found at places fitting their abilities and where they have probably chosen themselves to reside at. -It's worth mentioning that Moltres was stronger in RBY when there was only 1 special stat. Generation II +Raikou +Entei +Suicune Addition of another trio, the cats (lion, tiger and cheetah ARE NOT DOGS -.-). -Electric, Fire sound familiar, but there is no Ice cat before them, but a Water one after them. This is what started my curiosity. Is there a reason why they did this with Suicune? Yes. I think they realised, it would get too repetitive and boring if every generation had the same 3 types used for a legendary trio. Choosing 3 different types would get them like 3 good combinations (especially when ecluding possible secondary types like flying, bug or dragon). So a complex and interesting solution is keeping some and changing some every generation! We will see. -They are a perfectly balanced trio stat-wise, with Raikou having best S.Atk and Speed, Entei HP and Atk, and Suicune S.Def and Def -Found in "hybernation mode"/asleep in a cave under a destroyed building -After awaking them, they roam through the grasses of Johto -Suicune plays a special role in Crystal +Lugia +Ho-oh -The 2 new "Mewtwos", as those 3 were the only one with 680TBS (which is 100 more than legendary trios) -2 towers were constructed by humans to show their gratitude, the Brass and Tin tower. They came resting on the tops. Ho-oh's tower was destroyed by a storm. Under it is the mentioned cave where the 3 Cat Pokemon, said to be resurrected by Ho-oh after dying, are found. Lugia flew away into the ocean, while Ho-oh sometime returns to the left standing tower. So at the 2nd Generation, we have 2 huge flying monsters which seem to have some kind of guardian role to the 2 trios. Generation III +Regirock +Regice +Registeel -A Rock, ICE and Steel Golem trio. Ice wasn't yet used twice in trios, so they repeat it and add 2 totally new types (probably because Ice and water in the same trio would be odd) which also fit the golem concept. Good job IMO. -Very defensive oriented -Regirock is the physical, Regice the special golem and Registeel is the balanced version of the other two. -They're sealed into hidden caves, which for access require intelligence for reading braille instructions on solving puzzles. -They don't have any real eyes (you'll see later why I mention this) +Groudon +Kyogre +Rayquaza -The ancient climate influencing 3. -Well they actually are not a trio, because Rayquaza is superior to Groudon and Kyogre: It has 680 TBS instead of 670 It has 2 types instead of 1 It has multi colored patterns on it's body instead of 1 colour It's abilities disables the other 2's abilities effects. -Rayquaza plays a guardian-like role in that it acts intelligent (Emerald event) instead of just going out on rampage after waking like Groudon and Kyogre So we got another trio (without a fitting guardian) another big flying intelligent monster and 2 troublemaking monsters. Generation IV +Uxie +Mesprit +Azelf -a whole psychic trio representing Knowledge, Emotion and Will. I was a bit shocked about this as it made no sense what was going on here, as they seemed to have the regular trio 580 TBS, but at the same time looked extremely similar. My prediction which I was 100% sure of happening was: 1 member being water type 1 either rock or steel 1 with an yet unused type for trio legendaries q_Q? After taking a deeper look at them I realised something interesting: -Azelf represents Will, reminding me of how the birds are the only trio not to be sealed up somewhere -Uxie represents Knowledge ---> Regi chambers (closed eyes) -Mesprit: Emotion Balanced stats Runs away and roams the region ->They are the past 3 trios in 3 Pokemon +Regigigas -4th bigger stronger golem (the birds got their guardian a generation later in Lugia) -Surprisingly it has 670 stats, is asleep sealed in a temple (Kyogre, Groudon?). +Dialga +Palkia +Giratina -The dimension trio 680TBS. -They live in different dimensions and are capable of altering those. -They're part dragon... wait a second. Take a look at their primary types: Steel Water Ghost My explanation for why the missing type pattern was put on 680 monsters: Gamefreak realised they got into a habbit of releasing THREE main games every generation, and adding a TRIO every generation. So they combined them. We will see if the fifth generation will continue the type pattern on main legendaries or if they'll go back to 580. But we can logicaly assume their primary types: One will be surely rock, ghost will be saved for the 6th generation trio, so the other two will have yet unused types/one of the following: Grass, Fight, Poison, Ground or Dark Yay. The legendary pattern as of Gen IV: And the non-legendary legendaries: Thanks for reading. 1.Do you find this as interesting as I do? 2.Does this make any logic to anyone else than me? 3.Anyone else can't wait to see what legendaries are coming next?

How do I go about making a legit enough Legendary like latios so that it can be used in random matchup? Using pokegen of course!
-
Yet another generalized question for the great members of Project Pokemon. Which of the ten legendaries from the Hoenn region did you like most?

I'm using Pokemon White. So basically whenever I try to create LEGIT legendary Pokemon with the newest version of PokeGen it doesn't work, they're illegal when I'm following everything to make them legal, for instance I send it to my game with Pokemon selector and when I try to trade it over GTS Negotiations it says there was a problem with my Pokemon, because they're not legal. I think the problem is, is that you can't breed legendaries because it works with all my Pokemon besides legendaries. I set all my Pokemon in an egg that hatched at Route 1 and the location Day-Care couple and Encounter Egg/Pal Park/Event/Honey Tree Shaymin. So I tried making a legal shiny Giratina but it was illegal, so then I figured you can't meet a Giratina at level 1 in an egg that's probably the problem, so I used the older version of PokeGen and unchecked egg, made it's encounter Distortion world, made the game Platinum, made it's encounter level 47 and it still was illegal. Then I made sure that all it's moves it learned by either TM's or by leveling up not by a move tutor and it still didn't work when I tried trading it over GTS Negotiations. I'm using my real trainer ID and Secret ID but I generate a shiny ID. I have NO IDEA what I'm doing wrong, it works for every single Pokemon but Legendaries and I'm pretty sure it's not the shiny part because I've made legit shiny Pokemon. Could anyone help me out?

I was originally intending on posting a poll but the poll would include 34 choices so I decided against it. My favorite legendary believe it or not is NOT Shaymin. My favorite legendary would definitely have to be Ho-Oh or Celebi respectively. What is yours? Post it here

I've seen around people debating (sometimes arguing ) that Spiritomb is/n't a legendary. What do you think? Please vote and comment.

I've been looking everywhere for this information as I've heard it before and I just wanted to get some confirmation...has anyone ever heard of the Legendary Beasts Glitch in FireRed/LeafGreen where the random beast will have VERY LOW IVs like 0...something like that...I need to see if this is completely true as I've heard about it but yet cannot find ANY info on it... Anyone know?

Returning from my hietas for a while... here is an actual three way poll of three well known Pokemon. I think I will know who will get the most votes >.> [hgsssprite]144[/hgsssprite] [shinysprite]144[/shinysprite] ARTICUNO ICE/FLYING HP: 90 Atk: 85 Def: 100 SpA: 95 SpDef: 125 Spe: 85 BST: 580 Advantages: - Is statistically the most defensive of the three birds - Ice is generally one of the better offensive typing, scoring a lot of damage on many things, especially when STABd - Learns Ice Shard, a priority Ice move (albeit physical) - Is the only Pokemon to learn the Mind Reader + Sheer Cold combo (aside from Smeargle) - Can outstall bulky waters easily - Is aesthetically the most pleasing of the three birds Disadvantages: - Is arguably the worst legendary Pokemon (not just bird, but of ALL legendary Pokemon) - 4x weak to Stealth Rocks, meaning it cannot even perform its duties as a wall properly - Ice typing gives it almost no key resistances to speak of while adding a plethora of common weaknesses, further diminishing its duties as a wall - Offensive stats are mediocre at best, not being able to use its typing at its best capabilities - Is usually avoided from using in competitive battling as it becomes a dead weight in one's team - Very small movepool: aside from Ice Beam, it really cannot do much else - Zapdos and Moltres does the walling job even better thanks to their typing - Even if it can outstall bulky waters, Zapdos can still fry them instantly, so Articuno is of little use - Unlike the other birds, it does NOT learn Heat Wave - Is countered by Heracross, Scizor, Gyarados, Rotom, Suicune, Blissey, Skarmory, Tyranitar, Infernape, Lucario, Metagross, Empoleon, Magmortar, Electivire, Raikou, Jolteon, Flareon, Charizard, Bibarel, Luvdisc, Caterpie, Articuno... that's right. It is not going to work in competitive battling. - Replaced by Suicune and Regice in its duties; Gamefreak neglects Articuno to oblivion that no one even thinks it exists anymore - Noticably has the MOST disadvantages and the LEAST advantages listed here [hgsssprite]145[/hgsssprite] [shinysprite]145[/shinysprite] ZAPDOS THUNDER/FLYING HP: 90 Atk: 90 Def: 85 SpA: 125 SpDef: 90 Spe: 100 BST: 580 Advantages: - Is arguably the BEST legendary bird and one of the better legendary Pokemon - Has a high Special attack, adding to its capability of destroying things with STABd Thunderbolt - One of the game's better electrics... - Can learn Heat Wave, a defining trait which puts it over the other two birds - Has an immunity to Ground, which is crucial for an electric Pokemon - Can survive physical and special hits thanks to its typing - Does the walling job better than the other two birds thanks to its typing and its 2x weakness to Stealth Rocks as opposed to 4x - Is versatile despite its small movepool - Gained the best moves from over the other two birds; Baton Pass and Metal Sound are very helpful - Has very few true counters, even things like Gliscor who is supposed to counter it can be messed up badly - Made it first into the Pokemon Trading Card Game; the other two were not made until later; it was an electric Pokemon with no weakness and - 30 resistance to Fighting unlike the other electrics who had a weakness to Fighting (Fighting is equivalent to Rock/Ground/Fighting Pokemon in the card games) - Noticably has the MOST advantages and the LEAST disadvantages listed here Disadvantages: - Needs Hidden Power for nearly perfect coverage, without a proper Hidden Power, things like Swampert and Gliscor walk all over it as they are intended to do - Tyranitar and Blissey can eat Thunderbolts and whatever else Zapdos has and mess it up badly - Does not resist electricity, which is not a good thing for an electric - Despite being only 2x weak to Stealth Rocks, it IS still weak to Stealth Rocks. It only has the upper hand relative to the other two birds - Common weakness to Ice and Rock, although the former is not usually seen with STAB in the standard metagame [hgsssprite]146[/hgsssprite] [shinysprite]146[/shinysprite] MOLTRES FIRE/FLYING HP: 90 Atk: 100 Def: 90 SpA: 125 SpDef: 85 Spe: 90 BST: 580 Advantages: - Is offensively very powerful: with STAB Overheat/Fire Blast/Flamethrower and Air Slash, along with Sunnybeam as an option, Moltres will surely terrorize many of its opponents - Does the walling job better than Articuno thanks to its ability to tank physical hits if EVd properly and to counter Lucario and Scizor, both of which cannot defeat it (except for the rare Stone Edge/Hidden Power Rock Lucario) - It has Will-o-Wisp to screw with its physical counters, especially Gyarados, who cannot OHKO with Waterfall or Stone Edge after it is burned - Morning Sun can be a great healing tool in the sun - Has an immunity to Ground, something Heatran would wish for - Is one of the few special attackers capable of 2HKOing Blissey Disadvantages: - That attack stat would be better off in its speed stat, as it does not have many attacks to abuse it with - 90 speed can sometimes be middling - 4x weakness to Stealth Rocks is really bad - Movepool is rather limited - Tyranitar still messes with this thing - Zapdos learning Heat Wave gives players no real reason to use Moltres (I wonder if they will give Leafeon Flare Blitz or Salamence Outrage... oh! The latter has already been done!) - Looks like a rubber chicken, although I actually do like Moltres's aesthetics So who is your favorite? Despite me making Articuno look like a really bad choice for battling (and it is), I chose Articuno. It has always been my favorite and always will be. I use it in battles and sometimes, it does work very well, but it does it rather slowly and something else could have done the job WAY faster and WAY better. I just hope Gamefreak does a better job with it later on... which they won't >.> Actually, I like Moltres too... very much. But I hate Zapdos VERY much.

In the game, there is an in-game event that when you trade over the eigaken Arceus, you can go to the Ruins of Alph, that will unlock a brand new currently unknown area that you can bring Arceus to, to choose one of the three legendary Sinnoh legends Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina. Which will you choose? I am going to choose Giratina.
