  1. Hello, I have some questions about editing the TID/SID of a save file. As far as I know, the PID of pokemon aren't tied to the TID/SID of a trainer unless it's shiny, is that right? Also, if I edit the TID and SID (using valid TID/SID combinations created by the game) will this change the way shiny PIDs are calculated? Has anyone been able to confirm that editing the TID/SID of a save file results in new uniquely generated shiny PIDs using the newly inserted TID/SID combination? These questions stem from me wanting to hold onto a shiny I caught on one play through after creating and playing a new save with a new TID/SID. My preference is for this shiny pokemon to not appear traded, otherwise I could simply leave my TID/SID as is and drag him into my PC boxes. My alternative is to copy my newly caught pokemon over to my old save and change their TID/SIDs instead so that my shiny won't appear to be traded. I do want to confirm though that TID/SID isn't used for generating non shiny PIDs. I guess I'm just concerned about editing the TID/SID and would like to know any potential drawbacks to doing so. I'd like to hear that it's not a big deal and it all works as intended; meaning if you use valid values you're all good, and newly generated shiny pokemon will use the currently set TID/SID. Any information/insight is appreciated. Thanks
  2. Every Ash-Greninja loaded from WC7 has a certain PID , but when you reroll it's PID , it judge it legal ,,,So can it be rerolled?
  3. I'm working on a living pokedex for gen 1 and am using pkhex to organize my boxes efficiently and while doing this I caught an electrode in the power plant which shows up as illegal and got the error "Invalid: Ingame Trade OT has been altered." I assume it's just the program assuming all electrodes must be from the ingame trade but I figured it was worth letting you know
  4. Mystery gift shiny silvally maybe can only received in SM , but it is legal if it was received in USUM ,
  5. Like it's predecessor, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon has introduced several new pokéball combinations by expanding its regional pokédex. Not only did this create tons of new Beast Ball and Apricorn ball combinations, it also brought forth some new hidden ability (HA) combinations as well as some other miscellaneous changes! New HA Combinations Apricorn Balls Jynx line Kanto Raichu Kanto Exeggutor Kanto Marowak Regular Balls Orange Flabébé line White Flabébé line Miscellaneous Heavy Balls The glitch that prevented capturing these pokémon has been corrected. Beldum Line Tapu Koko Tapu Lele Tapu Bulu Tapu Fini Event Lycanroc The event Rockruff with the ability "Own Tempo" has been confirmed to be breedable by @theSLAYER. Upon evolving, it will turn into Dusk Lycanroc. Because it counts as the same species, you are capable of chaining all legal balls by breeding with a regular Rockruff, Unlike the wondercard, there is no shiny lock for breeding. This means you can get a shiny dusk Lycanroc! The legal balls are: All store-bought pokéballs (Pokéball, Great, Ultra, Dive, Dusk, Heal, Luxury, Nest, Net, Premier, Quick, Repeat, and Timer) Beast Balls All Apricorn Balls (Fast, Friend, Heavy, Level, Love, Lure, Moon) Electrode Electrode is another strange occurrence. It is found Rainbow Rocket's Castle, and is very easy to miss if you are not prepared. Because non-alolan pokemon have a call rate of "0", it is impossible to get it's hidden ability. This means the only new combination for Voltorb/Electrode is Beast Ball with the ability static and soundproof only. The encounters are shiny locked, so if you want a shiny variation, you will need to breed. They also pack Explosion, so be sure to be properly prepared. Flabébé line The Flabébé line is also noteworthy to mention due to the mechanics needed to acquire each color, as well as a bug. At the moment, only red Floette are capable of calling for help. Blue, orange, white and yellow Floette are unable to call. Because of this quirk, the blue variation is the only color that is unable to be have it's HA legally for Apricorn/Beast balls. You can still have its hidden ability in regular Pokéballs from the Friend Safari in XY The yellow variation is only found only in Melemele Meadow. It can be encountered normally, or from another Flabébé calling for help in this meadow. The red variation is only found only in Ula'ula Meadow. It can be encountered normally, or from another Floette calling for help in this meadow. The blue variation is only found only in Poni Meadow. It can only be encountered normally, as it has a call rate of 0. HA is illegal Apricorn/Beast Balls. The orange variation is found in Melemele Meadow and Ula'ula Meadow. It can only be encountered when another Flabébé or red Floette calls for help. The white variation is found in Melemele Meadow and Ula'ula Meadow. It can only be encountered when another Flabébé or red Floette calls for help. 8. Hello everyone, my name is Juan Harvey, I hope you do not bother, I need someone to help me in 3 questions I have about PKHex, I use it to make my teams to play online and create my pokemon collection, well, no more rodeo , These are my three questions: 1) Yesterday, a friend passed me a Kangaskhan (Archive: .PK7) exchange inside the game of Pokemon Ao (Pokemon Blue Japanese version), but it turns out that I get a very rare error, search the data of that exchange in Pokemon Ao In the sites Bulbapedia and Serebii, and it seems that the data of the pokemon are correct, I would like to help me to know how I can solve the problem and make this Pokémon as legal as possible, its data are: Kangaskhan. Nickname: ダ ン Iv's: 31 At, 31 Ps, 15 Def, 13 At Sp, Def Sp 31, and Spd 31 Ev's: 6 Ps, 252 At and 252 Spd Pokemon Language: Japanese Level: 100 Nature: Jolly Skill: Scrappy Friendship and Affection: 255 Move set: Double edge Earthquake Seismic Toss Sucker Punch Origin Game: Blue Pokemon (JP) Location: The Kanto Region Poke ball: Poke ball Met Level: 26 Met Date: 05/05/2016 Country: Japan Sub Region: Yamanashi 3DS Region: Japan PID: 44E8F947 TID: 09854 SID: 00000 OT: レ レ ー ナ ー The error that I get is the following: User Message: An unhandled exception has occurred. What happens with the Marshadow event has to do with the Mystery Gift Database?, What is the Mystery Gift Database and how does it work? Thank you very much for your attention and help. I hope I can help you when I can. PD: I will attach the corresponding images
  9. Hello! I'm brand new here but I've been using PKHeX for a little while now. I decided to replay both Pokemon Colosseum and Pokemon XD on the Gamecube recently. Upon completion of both, I traded over every single Pokemon from both games into my Emerald game cart. I went and opened it up in PKHeX so I could transfer some easily into my Sun game and noticed a few things regarding the legality checking for Pokemon originating in these games. The mistakes I've found are as follows: According to PKHeX, all Pokemon snagged in Pokemon Colosseum should have a 'Fateful Encounter' flag. If it's missing, it marks the Pokemon saying, "Invalid: Special ingame Fateful Encounter flag missing." This is not correct. Pokemon snagged in Colosseum do not have a fateful encounter flag (Only Pokemon snagged from XD do). The Eevee you get as your starter in Pokemon XD does have a 'Fateful Encounter' flag by default but PKHeX seems to think that it shouldn't, stating, "Invalid: Fateful Encounter should not be checked." Again, this is incorrect and the Eevee starter from XD should in fact have a fateful encounter flag. Similarly, any wild Pokemon encountered at PokeSpots in Pokemon XD do have fateful encounter flags but PKHeX wrongly says they shouldn't. Finally, the Elekid (nicknamed ZAPRONG) you can trade for at the Outskirt Stand in XD states, "Invalid: Invalid Met Level, expected 0." This value should be 20, not 0. New: Female Snorunt caught in XD, transferred to a newer gen, and evolved to Froslass is being marked as illegal. Invalid Moves, Ribbons, and Unable to match encounter from origin game. It seems to not make the connection that a XD Snorunt could potentially be evolved to Froslass later down the line. File added below. All of this data was gathered by me personally. Both games were played through start to finish without any cheats, glitches, or save file editing (Minus the Colosseum Master Ball glitch ). Basically, the data is accurate. I'm not sure how much you guys really care about making sure the legality checking for Colosseum/XD is 100% accurate but I figured I could at least contribute this information. Hopefully it makes it into the next patch! Any further questions, feel free to reply here or send me a message! Hopefully this helps someone! SPECULATION: I believe some of these issues stem from the 'Origin Game' part of the 'Met' tab. Colosseum and XD share an option for Origin Game, when they really should be two separate options. Possible Solution?: Would it be possible for PKHeX to check Pokemon species and 'met level' to determine which game it originated in (Between Colosseum/XD)? Then figure out if there should be a fateful encounter flag present or not based on that? Even though there are some Pokemon available in both games, the met level will never be the same between the two games as every encounter has a set level except for the wild Pokemon in XD. But even those, you can still determine based on species and met level which game they came from. Edit: Examples of each kind of Pokemon are uploaded below. Colosseum Shadow Pokemon: 234 - STANTLER - 76BA9444C749.pk3 XD Starter/Eeveelution: 135 - JOLTEON - 2BCE45382A22.pk3 XD Wild Pokemon: 231 - PHANPY - 712EE213A4D6.pk3 XD Elekid Trade: 239 - ZAPRONG - 2B43457A38A1.pk3 XD Original Snorunt transferred from XD (Legal): 361 - SNORUNT - 36150E9F6D0C.pk3 XD Snorunt transferred into Gen 7 now evolved to Froslass being marked as illegal: 478 - Froslass - 18500E9F6D0C.pk7
  10. I legitimately bred an eevee w/ egg move detect but in pkhex it says "Static Encounter Relearn Mismatch" How do I fix this? All the eeveelutions i received in trades have this error too. Is this just a false positive?
  11. Hello. I'm new to PKhex and i encounter some problem... 1. Missing mystery gift in database. So i'm trying to move my event Rayquazza from Black to Alpha Sapphire... And somehow it's unable to match with the gift database... (I already attached the WC for research purpose) Card # 0059 - くろいレックウザ プレゼント.pgf Reference: http://www.serebii.net/events/dex/384.shtml#2012 2. Event OT affection should be 0 Next, event Camerupt. Yeah, i know it should be 0, but i "received" it by import WC (delivered by a guy from pokemon center), not from pkm file... 3. Evolution not valid And Event Vivillon is missing from event database too... Somehow, it doesn't have have any relearn move too... I got it those WCs (for 2nd and 3rd problem) from: 4. Transferring from gen 4 to gen 6 I transferred my Feraligatr from HG (Totodile starter) to AS by following this tutorial: https://forum.romulation.net/threads/migrating-gen-iii-v-pokamon-to-gen-vi-using-pkhex-and-pokagen-gen-v.63889/ But it didn't go well... Although i already reroll the PID for several times. PS: Sorry for the messy post. Thanks.
  12. Just updated PkHeX to latest version (2017-03-18) and opened that Exeggutor, which I generated with the previous version. Problem is: PkHeX states that Draco Meteor is an invalid move. For reference: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Exeggutor_(Pokémon)#Alolan_Exeggutor_6
  13. Hi there, I'm wondering if its ok for PKHex to display this Tapu Koko as legit I'm not 100% sure but IIRC the serial code only works for Japanese console/games, right?
  14. Hello, I tried to edit my Magearna from the recent event and I keep getting this error message for its legality: Invalid Relearn Move 1: Static encounter relearn move mismatch. I don't know how to fix this, please help.
  15. Thought it was because Charizardite X is not obtainable in SuMo, but then I tried just putting lefties on, and I ran into the same legality check. 17. Hi guys! First sorry if this has been answered somewhere else, I have tried to search for my answer on this thread and other sites but I'm still confused lol. So I wanted to know with regards to my own pokemon that I have caught ingame or bred ingame (Alpha Sapphire using PkHex) : - if I change the nature and the IV's, do I need to change the PID and/or Encryption Constant (EC)? - if I change the OT and TID + SID of a legit pokemon I got from trade to my details, do I need to change PID and/EC? - if I make my legitimate pokemon from my game shiny, do I need to reroll the EC? Basically when is it needed to change my PID and EC with regards to my own pokemon ingame or bred. I thank you in advance for your help guys! PS: these are not for competitive purposes, just for my ocd needs of having perfect pokes
  18. Hey everyone I am stuck in an odd situation and each time I try to battle my friend wirelessly with my shiny hoopa the comm error screen pops up while we are choosing are pokemon. From what I can tell it seems pretty legit to me but I may be overlooking something. I have tried multiple times with many multiple combinations of memories and still I cant get it to work. Anyone have a ekx file that does work? Thanks in advance also here is an example of a hoopa I have attempted to use but like I said I tried several different variants; Moveset: Psyshock Shadowball Hyperspace hole HP Fighting. Met route 2 OR cherish ball modest level met 100 memories : Hoopa met Bicentennial at... a riverside road. Bicentennial threw a Poké Ball at it, and they started to travel together. The Pokémon remembers that it got nervous. Hoopa became Bicentennial’s friend when it arrived via Link Trade at... somewhere. The Pokémon remembers that it had fun. Thanks in advance as I am off to bed and any help will be extremely appreciated !

  20. So I have been using the PKHeX from this thread: Web-Browser-RAM-based-Pokemon-Injection-for-XY-and-ORAS I've genned some pokemon that by what I can tell look completely legal but I am not able to use them online. If someone could point out what it is that I'm doing wrong then that'd be amazing. Here are two of my pokemon.ek6 files (named with what pokemon they are for my own filing. I use the whole box importer when putting them into the game) http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=44459104806528684010 http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=09424632622028377830 P.S. I know that ProjectPokemon does not endorse or condone online use of genned/hacked pokemon. This is entirely for me to use so I can battle my friend online who lives in another state.
  21. Alright, to make things short I made two types of mew. One type of mew was the one based off the 2008 american event with the OT of Hayley and such, the other type was a shiny Mew and was based off the faraway island mew in Emerald (the only event where it could be shiny). Since things were a little complicated with gen 3, I didn't have high hopes the shiny mew would get through a wifi trade but I really thought the other type would . I put in the right IDs for both but they still don't get through. Anyway if any of you have time could you look at them to help me? Thank you  (Both mew files are in the zip) Mew.zip
  22. Pokémon Legality Guide - This guide was intended for the use of D/P Welcome to the Pokémon Legality Guide. This guide will provide you information on the defintion of Legit, Legal and Illegal. In addition, there is also a step-by-step guide on how to make a Legal Pokémon with Pokesav under any situation, weather you want it to be PalPark, Hatched or caught in the Wild--this guide will help you. Definition * Legal (Valid) Pokémon are able to exist naturally in the game without the use of external devices. * Illegal Pokémon are not able to exist naturally in the game without the use of external devices. * Legitimate (Legit) Pokémon are created without the use of external devices. Because all of these Pokémon are also able to exist naturally in the game, legitimate Pokémon are a subset of legal Pokémon. Although illegal Pokémon can only be created with the use of an external device (they simply cannot exist without the intervention of such a device), legal Pokémon can be created either naturally or through the intervention of an external device. Legitimate Pokémon, however, are always created naturally. Because of the nature of these definitions, it is possible to check for the legality of the Pokémon, but impossible to check for legitimacy. Therefore, there is no objective way to tell whether a Pokémon is truly legitimate or not. Programs such as Legality Checker and pAC can only check for legality, not legitimacy. Examples: * A Torterra, originating as a starter Pokémon in the game and raised only in the game is legitimate. * A Spiritomb with Wonder Guard is illegal because Spiritomb cannot naturally have Wonder Guard as an ability. * The perfect 31 IVs, shiny, docile, Umbreon from the PKM Database is legal because it was created with the use of external devices, however, it could have naturally occurred or existed in the game without the use of an external device. Although it would be extremely rare to encounter such a Pokémon, all aspects of its underlying data could have been generated by the game naturally. Preparation First, in order to create a Legal Pokémon, the user will need: * Pokesav * Legality Checker * SCV's PID/IV Program * Trash Byte Normalizer "Pokésaving" The Pokémon And will also need a way of transferring Pokémon into your game. Beginning 1. Open Pokesav 2. Open your .sav file 3. Go into the Storage menu on the bottom right corner of the main Pokesav screen and select an available spot in any of your boxes and click Edit 4. At this point, select a Pokémon and the enter desired Trainer ID, Secret ID, Level, Happiness, Name, Held Item, and OT Name. 5. Enter in the correct ability of the chosen Pokémon. 6. Select a valid moveset. 7. Enter desired EVs, but make sure that the sum does not exceed 510 8. Contest Stats can be anything desired. 9. Marking can be anything desired. Hatched Pokémon 1. Region/Version, choose either Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum 2. Ball Caught With to Pokéball 3. Egg Hatched at to DayCareCouple 4. Met Level to 0 5. Met at Place to a location that is in the game, where an egg may hatch. Common locations include Route 209. Wild/Caught Pokémon 1. Region/Version, choose either Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum 2. Ball Caught With to any Pokéball that can be purchased at a PokéMart. It is not recommended to use a Master Ball. 3. The Pokémon may not know any moves which can only be learned from hatching. 4. Met at Place to the location where the desired Pokémon can be caught. 5. Met Level and choose a valid level depending on the Met at Place. Consult a Pokédex for this information. 6. Hidden Hex Values section, change 85h according to the method of encounter: 02 – Tall Grass 04 – Dialga/Palkia 05 – Cave/Hall of Origin 07 – Caught in the Water 09 – Catught in Building 0A – Great Marsh 0C – Starters/Fossils PalParked Pokémon 1. Region/Version, choose the GBA Pokémon Game or Colosseum/XD from where the Pokémon may be caught from. 2. Ball Caught With to any Pokéball that can be purchased at a PokéMart. It is not recommended to use a Master Ball. 3. Met at Place to 55 (Pal Park). 4. Met at Level needs to be the level at which the Pokémon migrated. This should not be lower than the level it can be obtained at. Trash Bytes 1. In POKESAV, click on Save in the Storage menu. 2. Name the file and save it somewhere accessible. 3. Drag the saved file (extension is .pkm) over the Trash Byte Normalizer. 4. The program will ask you to press Enter to exit. 5. Click on Load in POKESAV from the Storage menu to import the normalized Pokémon. Making a Valid PID/IV Individual values (IVs) are stat values given at random to Pokémon when they are encountered in the wild. Pokémon which have been bred have a higher predisposition to the individual values of their parents. Both the PID/IV Generator in POKESAV and SCV’s PID/IV Generator will generate a Personality Value (PID) for a given set of IVs. Using POKESAV 1. Choose the desired IVs and click on PID/IV in POKESAV. 2. Click Generate, look at the algorithms and find the one that matches the Pokémon being created. 1. eg. A wild Starly will be Normal or Wild NDS. 3. The corresponding natures are displayed to the right of the algorithms. Using SCV's IV/PID Generator 1. Open SCV’s PID/IV Generator and select the appropriate option. 2. The program will guide ask various questions relating to the Pokémon. 3. After answering the questions, the program will output legal PIDs. 4. Copy the first one to POKESAV. TIP: Some natures may not yield desired results. Try changing one of the IVs slightly. This will radically alther the given PIDs. Testing the Pokémon 1. In POKESAV, click on Save from the Storage menu 2. Name the file and save it somewhere accessible. 3. Drag the saved file (extension is .pkm file) over the Legality Checker. 4. Make sure nothing says Invalid. 5. The last line, Type should correspond to the algorithm used during the PID/IV stage. Congratulations! The Pokémon is legal and ready to be used! Frequently Asked Questions Will a legal Pokémon work on Pokémon Battle Revolution? * A: Yes, if the Pokémon is legal, it will work on PBR. How does a person make a shiny legal Pokémon? * A: Select the option for a shiny Pokémon in SCV’s PID/IV Generator. Exporting the Pokémon as an Action-Replay code does not work? * A: Due to translation limitations, a second program was created, POKESAVARDSOutput.exe. Load the Pokémon using this version of POKESAV. Will editing an existing Pokémon still be legal? * A: Yes, as long as it follows this article. 24. So..First off...This is my first post...Tell me if i'm doing something wrong  oh and, i'm so tired i put legit instead of legal. So. I made a very legal mudkip. (Pokesav mind you.) It's moves are: Whirlpool Water Gun BubbleBeam Attract I know mudkips can learn those moves  It's lv. 63 met at lv. 5 Hometown in Johto. Naughty nature holding a dome fossil IV values are: HP is 31, Speed is 31, Attack is 31, Sp. Attack is 20, it's defense is 31, and it's Sp. Def is 10. Female No EVs 10 for each PP and 3 for PP ups  it has torrent for it's ability... What's wrong with it? If it's a glitch or a silly mistake...i'll commit suicide. I stayed up all night with this now. OK, OK. I TRIED MAKING ANOTHER THAT DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH MUDKIPS OR POKESAV. (TORCHIC WITH THE...POKEPROJECT POKEMON MAKER THING) AND I MADE IT EVEN MORE BELIEVABLE, AND IT DIDN'T WORK EITHER! I'M STUCK. WHAT DO I DO? I ATTACHED HER .PKM FILE
  25. Chat I had at Pokecheck.org Conri - hmmm. I hope I can still fix this because a friend was counting on me for this Aug 15, 01:24 Santos- Ummmm idk =Z Aug 15, 01:22 Conri - Thank you Santos, but I'm still curious about what makes it frowned upon: is it that it was bred from a hack or was it because its an English one bred from a Japanese dw eevee? Or perhaps both? Aug 15, 01:20 Santos- ur eevee its legit =) Nice job Aug 15, 01:12 Conri - Ah, so would it be better if I managed to breed a dw eevee from a legit japanese dw eevee? Or do you mean that breeding one yourself from a japanese one is looked down apon? I'll go ahead and remove it. Aug 15, 01:12 GaiaLT- Yeah I know it appears as legit. You can't tell the difference, but it's widely looked down upon. Kinda like RNGing on emulators. You can't tell, but ya know Aug 15, 01:08 Conri - I apologize if it is a hack. I was trying to help. Aug 15, 01:00 Conri - Really? Everything checks out. The eevee was hatched from a japanese dw eevee, but i shortly realized after I got it that it was a hack. So i bred with that eevee and got this one. You see, its possible to have one American if an american got a japanese one and then bred and egg. Plus everything checks out. How come its still a hack? Aug 15, 12:54 GaiaLT- Corni, actually many people do beleive it's still hacked. Sorry __________________________________________________ _________________________________ The above chat is one i had at pokecheck.org. You see, I acquired a DW eevee I got from this site, but then I was told by others that it was a hack. Before I knew it was a hack, I bred over 30 eevee's with a dw ability. However, today when I showed others one of the eevee's I bred with that hack, they all said it was a hack too. I understand that its ok to breed from a Japanese pokemon so you can have one yourself in your own language and country. But they all said that it is "frowned upon". Is it because it is bred from a hack? Or is it because it is bred from a Japanese pokemon not available in America and that I'm just taking the "easy" route just to get one myself? Or is it both? I'm so confused... Here is the hacked DW Japanese eevee I had (which I downloaded from the DW Pokemon Cafe thread on this site): DW Japanese Eevee -Also could you tell me what makes this hacked and if I can fix it? Also, I would really appreciate it if you could please show me where I can get a legit Japanese DW Eevee. Here is the DW american Eevee I bred: My DW American Eevee that I bred -Main problem Let me know what you guys think and thanks for the help in advance. EDIT: Solved
