Does anyone know if there's a gen 3 save editor tool for firered and leafgreen which is able to view the roamer legendary beast's stats (suicune/entei/raikou)? I just thought if there's one as I'm trying to shiny hunt the roaming suicune on my leafgreen and looking for other ways of determining its stats without encountering it in the wild

I transitioned from A-Save to PKHex as PKHex supports all 7 Pokemon generation and oh boy, is the user interface huge. --- Under the "Main" section: What is the star symbol next to the PID supposed to represent? Under the "Met" section: I assume setting Met Level to 0 would imply that it hatched from an egg just like A-Save? Under the "OT/Misc" section: What does the "Extra Bytes" stand for? I have the option of 0x2A or 0x2B but they do not seem to do anything. Under the "Misc Edits" section: Which flags am I supposed to check in order to experience events as how they implemented for the original cartridges? Extra question: Is it possible to generate a Pokemon that makes the Mirage Island appear similar to this: http://www.ppnstudio.com/maker/index.html ? --- Thanks in advance.

Title pretty much explains it. I'd like to change Brendan's name to Sapphire, and Wally's to Emerald. I'm sure it could probably be accomplished via hex editing, but I don't know if there would be a character limit, like a rename for Wally could only have 5 characters to keep from messing up the text boxes. I wouldn't imagine that would be the case, since the text boxes seem to be generated to accommodate the length of the player's name (i.e. adding an extra if the you used all ten spaces when naming the character, as opposed to three or four, pushing the dialogue after the player's name forward, if that makes any sense) but I'm not entirely sure. Coding pros, got any suggestions?

Okay so im trying to generate, from scratch, a shiny kyogre, groudon and rayquaza. these pokemon are only available as shiny from gen 3. im using emerald, however if i try to use the ones i have so far in rated special battle, it tells me that something is wrong with one of my pokemon (being on of these 3) i was wondering if anyone have detailed information on how to make these legit. i would love to pull out a shiny primal kyogre or groudon in rated battles

Hello Researchers! Today I have discovered an exploit for Generation 3 that affects Pokemon Legality for RNG. The exploit can be done in 2 ways. One way is to take a save file with Japanese/Localized dual compatible names and nicknames from a Japanese Gen 3 game, flash it to an English cart, and then take any already-nicknamed Pokemon (pre-naming fixes a bug with bank compatibility for Japanese-exclusive Pokemon like mew) to the name rater to enjoy longer English names when kept on that same file. The more legit way is to RNG both region games to have a 5 to 1 digit cross region OT, with the same SID and TID, similar to using RNG to rename event Pokemon via OT RNG manipulation. The next step to do is Nickname the Japanese Pokemon, trade it over, and rename it on the English game with the cross region characters. Accent letters for Latin and Japanese will pose problems, along with RS copies with the nickname flag bug. Anyhow, this process obviously fails when trying to make longer Japanese nicknames. This means Nicknamed 3rd gen event Pokemon, Nicknamed Shiny Jirachi, Nicknamed Celebi, and Nicknamed In game events are possible now to RNG users. Hopefully this helps Legality checkers! Thanks, and have fun!
