  1. Can someone explain why Hydropump in Totodile/Croconaw/Feraligart shows as INVALID, when they are 100% legal? Also I have problems with some pokemon, like Graveler, because "Unable to match an encounter from origin game", when he was a Geodude caught in Route 33 I'm new with this tool, and I just make backups of my game and clone some rare pokemon in Gen I
  2. I was asking if can I edit the Raikou/Entei data in the Pokedex for find them shiny in the roaming encounters, or I just need to have a lot of lucky, because I can't find a section in PkHex what help me with that I can make soft reset with Suicune and Celebi, but with roaming pokemon... I don't know how to make a kind of soft reset to found them shiny I found Raikou just leaving Ecruteak City by the Route 38 after release the trio TT-TT Edit: If I change the Pokedex data of Raikou to NOT SEE, can I get another chance to caught him shiny in the next opportunity?
  3. Hey all, I wanted to update my trainer name and gender in my ancient Pokemon Crystal save. Went and edited my trainer card with my updated name and flipped my gender. Then I used the bulk update to change every Pokemon in my boxes and party with the change =OT_Name=Devin .OT_Name=Rachel .OT_Gender=1 And just to verify. TID is the same still and the names/gender match! Great! Exported and loaded back up on my Analogue Pocket. Player avatar and trainer card look right! However, when I flip to my pokémon stats, the OT now says "?" instead of my new name? Before this is used to read "Devin" (my old name) ofc. This is my legit pokémon I've had form the beginning of the game Also just tried saving the game and resetting but no dice. Did I miss a step? Is there a bug here? Thanks all for this wonderful utility.
  4. I haven't found much information about Celebi Machines, even after searching through the Internet for the last couple months, but this is some of the more notable information that I have gathered: There is a (possibly modified) Super Famicom inside, which has a (also possibly modified) Super Gameboy 2 inserted in it. Inside the SGB2 is a modified Gold version(or Blue for the Mew machines). The SGB2 is connected to a modified Gameboy/Gameboy Color, which in most pictures you can see as the "IN" slot. There is a glitch relating to Pokemon in the party having mail. What I don't know: If the Super Famicom/SGB2 is modified How they are modified. How the Pokemon Gold/GBC is modified How the Celebi is distributed. I have heard that it is automatic, but that might be untrue. These are merely my findings on this topic. I would love to hear everyone else's finds into this, whether it is false or true.

Old Pokémon Save File. Replaced my battery years ago and have been playing it for years. Though some help got it on my 3ds consoler to get the GS Ball. While the gave has been completed this is a great save file with lots to still see and do. It has a cool decorated room from Mystery Gifts items, Pokémon From PYNC event Pokémon, lots of shiny Pokémon, and lots of Pokémon that can be used for Pokémon Stadium 2. Enjoy!!!
  6. Hey all. New to posting here but having some issues I hope I can get some help with. When I generated a living dex using pkhex for gen 2 using a crystal save I managed to get everything generated as legal with the help of some pk files and some info about in game spawns. For some Pokémon I would generate a random trainer ID and give them the name GOLD or SILVER depending on what game they were made in. For others I simply made them met at level one as if I hatched them. Most of these have an issue where the trainer ID shows but the trainer name says “?” For some Pokémon, like Lugia and Ho-oh, I found a flag that said something along the lines of caught lugia/ho-oh and that fixed those two but the issue remains. To clarify, in PKHEX (made sure to update) the OT shows my name or GOLD/SILVER but in game it shows OT/ ? The trainer ID shows correctly, just the trainer name is wrong I tried the save on the VC and original cart versions of Pokémon crystal but the issue is identical. Any ideas?

  9. Relive the adventure of the second generation Pokemon games in a more challenging and complete way! Hack of: Pokemon Crystal Features Very exhaustive work on the selection of wild Pokemon including fishing, headbutt, rock smash and all types of event Pokemon, and trainer parties including every single trainer in the game as well as around 100 additional trainers carefully distributed throughout the adventure. Similar work on choosing the items found, sold in marts, or obtained in any different way, as well as on adjusting their prices. Plenty of mechanical changes that contribute to the difficulty increase, such as the progressive level increase of wild and trainer Pokemon, the inhability to use healing items whilst in battle, a forced "set" battle style, developments regarding the experience mechanics, a trainer EV system, the removal of badge boosts, improved AI, and more. Extensive work on the balancing of learnsets (without altering the movepools), evolution levels, base experience, growth rates, catch rates, held items and other aspects inherent to the Pokemon, adequated to the usefulness and strength of each Pokemon species and other characteristics of the game. Enjoy additional events and other existing events that have been modified, explore new places and plenty of remodeled maps like caves and several routes, and fight lots of additional trainers distributed in caves, routes, gyms, or in the new events. Most of these features are located in Kanto to extend and make more enjoyable the second part of the adventure. Speaking of Kanto, now you can enjoy the Kanto journey following the order of the first generation games! Screenshots Want more details? AI: Improved the AI of the lesser trainer classes as well as a few other aspects of the AI. The 25% added chance of missing with a status or stat reduction move by the opponent has been removed. BADGE BOOSTS: Stat and type boosts provided by badges removed in order to give the game a more "professional" feel and increase the difficulty by removing an unfair advantage. BASE EXPERIENCE: Adequated to the stats of each Pokemon (proportional to the base stat total of each Pokemon). BASE MONEY: Adequated to each trainer class, and to how early can it be found for the first time and in general. BATTLE STYLE: Battle style option removed; it's SET by default. BERRY TREES: A few different berry trees, and two berries found per tree instead of one! BERSERK GENE: Berserk Gene is no longer removed permanently once used, similarly to what occurs with other in-battle effect items such as Quick Claw and Leftovers. However, it's temporarily removed for as long as the current battle lasts, meaning that it will only activate once per battle. BUG CATCHING CONTEST: The formula that determines the points obtained has been adjusted according to the changes in Pokemon and levels. CATCH RATES: Adequated to how common and useful each Pokemon is. CATCH RATE FORMULA: Four minor bugs in the catch rate formula of the original Pokemon Crystal have been fixed. EXPERIENCE GAIN: The changes in the experience mechanics have been mainly applied to encourage training a full team of Pokemon over training just one or two Pokemon. The experience formula has been modified to make the experience gain increase by multiplying the original experience with the result of player's Pokemon level / enemy's level (*). The other main change consists on a badge-sensitive experience cap, that prevents your Pokemon from growing up past certain levels depending on the amount of badges collected. EVOLUTIONS: Changes on evolution levels, adequated to the strength of the evolution chain and to the level at which the Pokemon appears for the first time. For a few Pokemon, different methods in which they evolve. Trade evolutions have been replaced. ** FLEEING POKEMON: Some different species of Pokemon that can flee. GROWTH RATES: The growth rate of each species of Pokemon has been adequated to the general usefulness of the evolution chain the Pokemon belongs to. Every Medium Slow growth rate has been replaced. GYMS: The player is unable to leave a Gym until he or she beats the Gym Leader or all his/her Pokemon faint in battle (blackout). Thus, Gym trainers and the Leader have to be beaten in succession. Gym Leaders all have 6 Pokemon, so do members of the Johto League. HEALING ITEMS: Properities of healing items (potions, berries...) edited so that said items can't be used in the middle of a battle. However, no changes in the functions of the items when held by a Pokemon (berries still heal, boosting items still boost a type etc.). Trainers no longer will use healing items themselves either. HELD ITEMS: Different wild held item data and increased probability of appearing the second item. More emphasis on generic items but rarer or unique items like Leftovers, Scope Lens and type boosting items can also be found. ITEMS: Different items found in the floor, and different hidden items. Some differences in items sold in marts as well as in other events such as the Game Corner, Lucky Number, Bug Catching Contest or Buena's Show. As usual, lower profile items are found earlier while higher profile items are found as the game progresses, but more emphasis on more useful and obscure items. Different item prices (or coins @ Game Corner), adequated to the utility and accessibility of each item. LEAGUE REMATCH: Rematch a stronger version of the Johto League after completing the Kanto adventure! LEARNSETS: Minor changes on learnsets like level modifications or twists and, to a lesser extent, egg moves or RBY/GSC TM moves made level up moves as long as legally possible. In any case, move compatibilities and illegal combinations are left unchanged. ** MONEY LOST: Money lost upon losing a battle is no longer halved, as the money lost depends on the highest leveled Pokemon in the player's party, following the formula [ Level * (No. Badges + 4) * 10 ]. MOVE TUTOR: A new unique move tutor found in Johto that can teach your Pokemon a variety of R/B/Y TM moves, always accounting for illegal move combinations. NEW MAPS: Visit Viridian Forest, explore Cerulean Cave and Seafoam Islands, enjoy the remodeled caves, routes and gym puzzles, and more! OBEDIENCE: The obedience will never be a factor due to the experience gain capping at a certain level (see EXPERIENCE GAIN) before the obedience level is reached. POKEMON: Modified wild, fishing, headbutt, rock smash, trainer, and event Pokemon species and levels as well as amount of Pokemon used by trainers and their movesets. Logic prevails on wild encounters. Pokedex completion is possible. SHINY POKEMON: Different DV requeriments and increased probability (1/256) for a Pokemon to be shiny. The properities of the shiny Gyarados and Odd Egg Pokemon have been adequated accordingly. In addition, new shiny Pokemon colors. TEXT: All the corresponding text edits to make everything coherent to the changes applied in Pokemon, mechanics and events. THIEF: Thief has no effect unless it's used in a wild battle (no wild Pokemon knows Thief), or in a link battle. TIME OF DAY: Morning, day and night times delayed two hours (06-11 morn | 12-19 day | 20-05 nite). TRAINER DVs: Different trainer DVs (usually higher), mostly adequated to how early a trainer of that class can be found. DVs of many classes are maximized. TRAINER EVs: A Trainer EV System that provide trainer's Pokemon a gradual and controlled boost of their stats according to their levels to simulate boosts provided by EVs. TRAINER HOUSE: The Trainer House event (in Viridian City) now includes battles that become more difficult progresively and the player will receive a prize after a win. X ITEMS: The use of "X Items" (besides X Accuracy) such as X Attack and X Defend limited to one at the same time (in other words, these items are not stackable). **: Since the gradual level increase inevitably makes the player's Pokemon grow much faster, a general delay on evolution levels and learnsets has been applied in order to prevent the player from obtaining fully evolved Pokemon or powerful moves early on (which, subsequently, would imply the need of making early trainers have, similarly, overevolved Pokemon or overpowered moves to make the game competitve enough). Every learnset and evolution level has been modified accordingly, and the availability of some TMs has been delayed as well. (*): The effect will only take place if the opponent's level is the highest of the two, meaning that a high leveled Pokemon will not get disfavored. In addition, this factor caps at 2/1 to prevent ridiculous experience gains. Bug fixes (Updated 20/9/2015) Unlimited berries Kadabra not evolving into Alakazam Traded Pokemon possibly not obeying at high levels Possibly getting stuck in Viridian Gym Losing to Blaine and still getting the badge Cooltrainer inside Victory Road challenging multiple times Moltres not disappearing immediately after being fought Names of some Elite Four members being incorrect Cleanse Tag and Mystic Water properties (game crashing when depositing the former in the PC) Some trainers in Rock Tunnel or in Vermillion Gym acting as "already fought" if found before beating Misty Cinnabar gym statues freezing the game if talked to before defeating Blaine DOWNLOAD LINK (Updated 20/9/2015) http://www.mediafire.com/download/l748f91qs461dt8/Pokemon+Pyrite.ips Used Tools Gold Finger BGB Debugger CrystalMap The One GSC Trainer Editor GSC Moveset Editor GSC Evolution Editor GSC Wild Pokemon Editor MartEd GSC Tile Layer Pro (Titlescreen) Title Screen Color Editor G/S/C (Titlescreen) Credits The community of Skeetendo for opening me up to the world of Pokemon hacking. 10. I've played a few Soul Link's so far and every time I start my play session for the day it's always kind of an annoying process. Loading up 2 separate emulators, 2 roms, having to rekeybind the controllers every time. I was wondering if someone would be able to make a program that could make it easier. If your unfimiliar with a Soul Link Nuzlocke, heres the rules. 1- Any Pokémon that faints is considered "dead," and must be released or stored in a specified PC box for "dead" Pokémon. 2- You can only catch the first Pokémon encountered in each area, and none else. If the first Pokémon encountered faints or flees, there are no second chances. 3- You must also nickname all of your Pokémon, for the sake of forming "stronger emotional bonds." 4- In a new area, the first encounters for both players will be, "linked," together until death. 5- If one Pokémon in a linked pair is placed in the PC, it's Soul Link partner must be placed in the PC as well. 6- If one Pokémon in a linked pair dies, it's Soul Link partner is considered dead as well. 7- If one player fails to capture their first encounter in an area, the second player must forfeit their encounter in their corresponding area. 8- Across both players parties, primary typings may not be repeated. Basically what I'm looking for is a program that emulates 2 roms side by side and be able to control them individually. I've thought of a few features to make it better. Features -Emulators from all consoles built in - Ex. VBA, Desmume, and Citra -Saves both roms under 1 "project" and loads them on the same side every time -Type Chart ready -Online Remote Play - Be able to join your friends session online to see and control one of the games. -Games connected locally so you can trade and battle -Database where you can input your linked pokemon pairs and where you caught them -Built in Pokedex Database (Not necessary but would be helpful) -Program reads both your teams and displays them between the game (I'm aware that's not an easy ask but if it's possible, why not) I feel like except for a couple of them this is a completely possible thing to create. I know it probably wont happen but I just thought I'd get the idea out there. I love doing Soul Links and I'm so happy people found a way to make Pokemon Co-op. Thanks for your time.
  11. Hello, I noticed that PKHeX doesn't export non-32.02kb saves into 32.02kb ones (My case being 32.05kb from an emulator). Is it reasonable that I request for PKHeX to output Crystal (and if the same occurs, Gold/Silver) saves to 32.02kb size? To summarize, the VC saves (32.02kb) work with emulators and the Pokemon Stadium games, but after being overwritten in them or exported through PKHeX, they become 32.05kb saves and do not work, which is to be expected.

  13. Hack Of: Pokemon Crystal (U) Rom Name: Pokemon Crystal Complex Patcher: Lunar IPS Welcome to Thread for Pokemon Crystal Complex. This is an 'enhancement' of the original Pokemon Crystal, which includes different features (listed below). This is for those people who enjoy a challenge. I admit I do NOT know how to edit maps or I don't know anything about Hex at the current moment, however, If I do learn how to understand and use hexs and edits ect I may insert some into this game! I have never created a hack before and my skills with hacking tools aren't so strong. I have made this game challenging (and I have completed it, so it is not impossible :creep:) Heres a taster: Clair's Pokemon go beyond Level 60 and Red's Pokémon may reach Level 100 . The main reason I have created this hack, or 'edit' is because in the original games, we all know that Pokemon G/S/C was WAY too easy so this makes it more of a challenge. The current release (in the download section) only has a few minor alterations which I will list in the features section, so I hope you enjoy this and leave feedback! . *Remember, this is still in the early stages and has alot of work to be done. Increased Difficulty Harder Gyms Edited Trainers (Too Be Added) Evolutions Edited! Different Gym Types All 251 Catchable (Finishing) TM's Changed More to come! Increased Difficulty - Meaning the wild Pokémon, trainers, Gym Leaders ect. have all been edited so they are more difficult. Harder Gyms - Gym Leaders much more difficult to defeat! Edited Trainers - Trainers throughout Johto & Kanto have better teams & levels! Evolutions Changed - Yep! No more trading your Haunter to evolve to Gengar, instead, you only need to level them up! Different Gym Types - No longer do the Gym Leaders use the types they used in Pokemon G/S/C, instead, they use different types, i'll leave you to find out who uses what.. oh and yes, there IS a Dark-type Gym! All 251 Pokémon Catchable - Yep! Now you can catch ALL 251 Pokémon.. Well to an extent (You Wont find Pokémon like Charizard, Blastoise & Venasaur) however, you CAN find Bulbasaur, Charmander & Squirtle to evolve them! (Still Finishing) TM's Changed - Meaning the TMs given by the Gym Leaders now match their type i.e Falkner used to give you TM 31 (Mudslap) now you get TM 31 (Fury Cutter) if he was Bug-Type Download Section Download Here: http://www.mediafire.com/?hb7yvxfknebbk9e

  15. When inspected in PKHex, KENYA the Spearow has a met location of "Can't Tell" and a met level of 0, which PKHex specifically can't match. For comparison, SHUCKIE the Shuckle does pass the encounter check with the same parameters. 021 - KENYA - 5E08.pk2 213 - SHUCKIE - C744.pk2
  16. I am currently playing Pokemon Crystal (EU) again on my Game Boy Color and with the help of a Mega Memory cart and a GB USB Smart card I am able to backup and transfer the save file to my PC. I then tried to load this save file in the PKHeX application but I am met with the following error messages. Here's a link to download the save file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_mmJOG1759lRGtyQ1BoTFJacVE/view?usp=sharing
  17. Hello to all. I am somewhat off hiatus, and I bring to you 2 patches made out of many I have found this week, which will A: On Japanese Crystal, enable the debug menu (from TCRF/GCL), B: On the American Copy, instead finish and enable the Safari Zone, add the PokeCom center from JPN Crystal with normal PokeCenter functions with the unused scripts and references (Both from pokecrystal-restored on Github, along with the bonus of having the Crystal-only ingame Egg/Celebi events usable normally via cheap asm that unlocks them before JPN players got them story-wise, and the unused house in Olivine City being restored in the same initial patch, plus some mobile functions after Surf, maybe more), the added ability to reset your clock in the PokeGear by using U/D from a rare dump hack, along with 2 features from tcrf that apply to both regions, The JPN Gold SGB border, and the Prototype JPN Crystal Title Screen. I prefer the NTSC-U version, because it has a working battle tower. The Mobile features are half-deactivated in a hard-to-understand simple way, that still yields semi-legit results. Before loading normal saves (which do work), I recommend not going to Fuschia or Goldenrod. A known-good save spot is Celadon PokeCenter. Yes, you can mess with the clock without resetting in the NTSC version. This is technically in the JPN debug, and in normal crystal, so it is not actually illegal, just mis-activated. The Celebi is Illegal, as we did not get the GS ball, despite what the Anime tells ya'. Yes, you can have a Level 30 Celebi before the 3rd gym with YOUR OT. Have fun sweeping that gym. Here is the zip with the patches. Remember, use the correct patch for the correct NTSC-U version. NTSC Pokemon Crystal Beta Reconstruction Hack Compilation AIO Patch Sets.zip
  18. As said in January I have a theory explaining why VC Crystal will not released this year: Japanese Crystal had a unique compatibility with Mobile trainer (ancestor of Wi-Fi services but with the Mobile phone in 2G) which was used to trade Pokemon to distribute events (such as Celebi GS Ball or Odd Egg event), to battle online or access other functions. And my theory is that GF is actually working translating this in Wi-fi technology. This is a very hard thing to do and to make profitable of that they'll sold the game separately keeping the GS Ball event for that too. What do you think about? Are you also over hype by the GS VC release?
  19. I can't make a hack myself, but it's a good idea. I was thinking a G/S with expansions to the story and gameplay, but no actual story changes that would majorly alter the game. What I mean is, to add new items (possibly a GS ball thing) and new events. The game is mostly the same, but extended. So say after you beat Red, you get a call from Professor Elm (or an expansion to when you have to see him after bating the E4) saying that he found a Poké Ball behind his healing machine, and that it's nothing like he's ever seen. If it's the call scenario, you go to the lab and this happens, If it's the E4 scenario, this is just added to the Master Ball reward. "[PHONECALL] Remember how I gave you that Master Ball? Well, I've found another Ball behind my healing machine that I've never seen before. Can you take it to Kurt to check it out? He'll surely know what it will do. [Receive GS Ball]" And so on. "[E4 AFTER HE GIVES MASTERBALL AS YOU ARE LEAVING LAB] [! above head, walks to player] I almost forgot, I found this behind my healing machine. Can you take it to Kurt and have it examined? [Receive GS Ball]" And then you go to Kurt. "[ONCE AT KURT'S] [! over head when you step inside, Kurt walks to player] Oh, hey. I just got a phone call from Prof. Elm, he said you were coming with something for me. Oh? A GS Ball? I've seen this only once before." And he goes on about what you have to do to catch Celebi. It should go along the lines of that, which expands on the story by completing unused maps (Safari Zone) and adding events for unused items (GS Ball). If possible, new functionality could be added such as the currently unknown area north of Johto and Kanto, with new buildings or maybe a whole new region based on an area of a country OTHER than Japan. Obviously the ROM would need to be expanded, but the end result would be epic. Is there anybody who knows how to use my idea at least to a certain extent?
  20. Well, I just got a copy of Crystal from a friend, since mine has exploded. I always have a hard time choosing starters in the 1st and 2nd gen games. Then, lo and behold, I discovered a way to exploit the cloning glitch to get all of them. http://glitchcity.info/docs/all3starters I followed the instructions there to a tee, nothing. The video demo was on Gold. Does this not work on Crystal? D: Is my timing off during the cloning part? I was able to put my Cyndaquil into the box, save and quickly power off, but when I go back to the box, nothing.
  21. So like, we totally need to get people playing this game. Maybe we could setup weekly questing sessions? Or just get together and play the story mode? I need people to play with, is what I'm trying to say you guys.
