Friend Code (Nintendo Switch)

Friend Code (3DS)

  1. I was trying to replay my Pokemon Black to try maximize my trainer card levels... I know all the requirements: 1. Defeating Ghetsis & Team Plasma, or maybe even get on hall of fame (done) 2. Extralink thingy (I used PKHex) 3. Collecting all musical props (done with PKHeX too) 4. Super single trains and super double trains both 49 wins, defeat Ingo and Emmet Respectively (done as below, but I didnt use any PKHex to win it) 5. Complete National Dex (I'm on my way collecting swarms pokemon for the next days) Yet my trainer card only shown Silver Card, which is 3/5 from max card upgrades. But as you guys can see, I have done 4 out of 5 tasks and supposedly get a gold trainer card. My Pokemon Black PKHeX and Trainer Card are shown below: On contrary, my Pokemon White (yes I replaying both games) get a gold trainer card with very similar tasks done (4 out of 5, just recently defeat Emmet on Super Double Trains). It did upgrade to Gold Trainer Card. This one is confusing me, what's wrong? Or any things that I just slipped and didnt do? Hope anyone can help (fyi the 56 wins streaks on my super single train is from my Pokemon Black, I just redid it 1 streak more to ensure the game didnt bugged my trainer card, but its useless.) My Pokemon White PKHeX and Trainer Card below:
  2. PRESENTATION Hello everyone! Here is the presentation of my rom hack: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Hell and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Heaven. I've always loved Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, but I was always frustrated by the lack of difficulty, and the fact that the game was finishable without using all the QoL offered by the game, like IQ, linked moves and other mechanics. After discovering SkyTemple, I tried to create my own rom hack, and finally get the game I always wanted to play. With Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Hell, you can expect : - A very high difficulty. - New starters and new Pokemon from generations 5 to 8. - New dungeons, boss battles and items. - New dialogues (lots of memes and humor). - The fairy type added. - And other features. In this thread, I will present you some new features, you will also have some screenshots of the game, and you will have some data related to the game, like the list of legendary Pokémon that can be found with the mystery part/secret slab or the list of new attacks. First of all, I want to thank the whole SkyTemple team, this would not have been possible without their engine and hard work. I also want to thank the spriters without whom the new Pokémon could not have appeared in my game. Finally, I would like to thank Mond who generally helped me a lot in the creation of my rom hack. He also created his rom hack: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon : Explorers of Alpha, I invite you all to go and see his project. Remember to talk to the Porygon2 in the game crossroad for a detailed list of spécial thanks. What is the difference between Explorers of Hell and Explorers of Heaven ? FEATURES AND NEW MECHANICS Random features : New gameplay mechanics : New Pokémon : New moves : USEFUL DATA Pokemon shiny location : Location of Pokemon found with the Mystery Part / Secret Slab : SCREENSHOTS : New title screen : New starters / partners : New Pokémon : Examples of new boss battles : New shiny Pokémon : Examples of new items : Examples of new dialogues : Some Pokémon are back : SPECIAL THANKS Thanks to the spriters for making the portraits of the old and new Pokémon, as well as for the sprites of the Pokémon from generation 5 to 8 : Thanks to all the SkyTemple team and its community for their help, especially : Thanks to the beta testers for spotting the problems of the game, as well as for helping me with the dialogues : Thanks to Fke for designing the text box and the teams stats. Thanks also to all those I didn't mention. Thanks also to all those who followed the progress of the game and who supported the project since the beginning. It's thanks to your messages and your support that I had the motivation to work for several months on this game, so a huge thank you to you, and I hope you will like the result. DOWNLOAD You will need to patch a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Sky Explorer US rom. Avoid using savestates to apply future patches. In the file, you will have a tutorial to patch your rom. If you have any question about the patch, the game or anything else, feel free to send me a message on discord : babou#0001, to come in my server (https://discord.gg/6QbPHYZDtg) or to send me a message on twitter : @babouzzz. f
  3. Hi! Newbie in the emulator scene here as I have been mostly playing via Switch. I am well versed with using PKHeX but I cannot seems to find a way to push the changes I did using the Main file in Citra back to the game. This is what my party looks like before I edit it in PKHeX: This is what it looks like up editing and saving via CItra's Save Data Location: However upon opening the game in Citra the part never changed even the box. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

  5. Explorers Abridged aims to take the games premise and just steer everything in the worst direction imaginable. Main focus is on comedy, gameplay is also harder than base game. Also, there's a LOT of vulgar language. Probably not best for people who are uncomfortable with the such. Only first 3 chapters are currently edited. Video of all the cutscenes is here. Oh yeah, only Charmander (Player) and Bulbasaur (Partner) are playable, cause otherwise it would make even less sense than it does now LOL
  6. So I know that you can create Pokemon with pk hex and through other means I was wondering in terms of code what exactly is a Pokemon what characteristics make it legit or not what is the process of making one ?
  7. So when I made this Magearna in PKHeX (7) it gave me the error "Invalid: Can't Hyper Train a perfect IV" and I have no idea what it means/why I got it. 801 - Magearna - 49F4E4C34323.pk7
  8. So I transferred *saves* from Citra to Checkpoint, so that I could restore it to the original cartridge. However, I couldn't help but notice the "extdata" folder which I have 0 knowledge about. Could anybody explain what this folder does/if its important?

Pokémon were captured by me and modified to get him shiny 6IV. I'll update the file as soon as I capture them. I believe SID, PID and TID are linked to get them legal shiny, as PKHEX shiny generated says that are not legal.
  13. I have a MYSTRY Mew and was wondering if anyone could confirm if it's legit or not, please. OT: MYSTRY, ID: 06930, Nature: Serious, Characteristic: It's very finicky! IVs: HP: 23, Attack: 21, Defense: 6, Sp. Atk: 29, Sp Def: 8, Speed: 6,
  14. I ran into a problem just right before going to get Dialga in Pokémon Diamond, and I was unable to battle the two grunts to trigger team galactic leaders to battle me. I’m looking for a Pokémon diamond save around this point, if possible. If you have any diamond save that would be greatly appreciated . Thanks in advance!

  20. Hi. New to this forum but I made an account specifically looking for help on this. I'm looking for some insight and help restoring a good Pokemon Crystal save to my cartridge from VC. I recently received this Flash Boy Cyclone as I wanted to take my VC saves and put them back on a cartridge to use in Pokemon Stadium. It worked fine with Pokemon Blue (not pictured) and Yellow as you can tell in the attached video. But it is telling me "save file not found" even though I did the exact steps I did for Blue and Yellow. I have a hunch it's got something to do with the VC not being the exact same as the others due to the added in game Celebi event that wasn't present on the original cartridge. I attempted to do an "Import Battery" in the VBA Emulator to see if that would work but to no avail either. So how do I fix this? I've attached the SAV file as well. Thanks!
  21. I've seen a few posts of people requesting hacked Pokemon. I can see that they're not very successful/popular going by the lack of comments. Is it frowned upon here? I also know that paying for hacked Pokemon makes you the biggest sucker, but... Okay hear me out; I have PKHeX and have created 72 dream Pokemon for XY/ORAS and have the files. All the details are filled out and they are all legal (except for two) and I wish to have a copy of each on both my Y game and Alpha Sapphire game. So 144 Individual Pokemon (files) in total. My problem is that I just don't have the skills to hack my own 3DS/games and not risk destroying everything. So I'm kind of stuck. I understand if begging for someone's time to provide all these Pokemon is discouraged. Just let me know and I'll shut up about it. Lest...? If there is someone out there with nothing better to do, or if someone knows of someone who can get me my dream team, I would be incredibly grateful. (Assuming this works and someone willing to help sees this, feel free to pm me. I know I am asking for a lot...) Thanks for reading! Ciao! Edit: Is this how you share the file with all the data? pcdata.bin
  22. I'm having a ARM11 error on my 3ds. So, I followed the site instructions to use PKHeX and Homebrew. It's working fine with my pokemon Ultra Moon (downloaded software) but when I try to open my Omega Ruby (physical copy) I get a ARM11 crash. I already tried to use a backup save and even deleting the entire save, but nothing seems to work. I have some crash dump files if needed. Also, I tested the game on my brother's 3ds (no custom firmware) and it works just fine. crash_dump_00000000.dmp
  23. If this happens it will be my first time playing a sinnoh game because I skipped it but idk why but yeah I hope it comes out and if it does then YAY also black and white are different from black 2 and white2
  24. Helmschrot

    Gen 3 PkHex?

Hello, so I'm currently playing pokemon ruby on an emulator ... now I wanted to pick up a Pokemon, but somehow it doesn't work. I play on "Retroarch" where the files are saved as ".smr". This was already in Pokemon Gold that I played. There I solved it so that I simply renamed the ".smr" file to a ".sav" file and then dragged it in. But now when I do that with Ruby the following error message comes up: Attemted to load an unsupported file type / size. This could be caused by loading a different generation Pokemon file on an unsupported generation or youre file is courupt. File loaded: \ User \ [My name] \ Desktop \ Pokemon Ruby.sav File size: 139264 bytes 139264 bytes (0x22000) It may be important to mention that it is a randomized rom, which was the case with gold and still worked there edit: Yeah, that smiley sould ba an C_: xD
  25. For the fifth generation of Pokémon games the RAM is actually very easy to read when compared to the fourth generation. This is largely due to the fact that when the RAM is opened in a simple text editor the headers in the RAM are in plain text. However, ripping Pokémon from RAM is both easier, but harder than generation four. In my pervious topic when I broke down the structure of Pokémon in generation four’s RAM I was able to locate all of the important information of the Pokémon, but with generation five important information that one would expect to find does not appear to be present at a first glance. Fortunately that is not where this topic ends; it turns out all Pokémon that are on the field as well as the entire party of all trainers are stored in the RAM in an encrypted format. It appears that the entire party block from the save is copied into the RAM and when a battle starts the other trainer’s Pokémon in loaded into the RAM using the exact same structure as the player’s party Pokémon. This allows for easy ripping of Pokémon at the cost of this topic appearing extremely underwhelming due to this outcome (sorry no table this time). How to Extract Pokémon from RAM Dumps During a Non Vs. Recorder Battle As stated earlier the RAM for generation 5 is very easy to read and this easiness to read makes it easy to rip Pokémon. In order to rip a Pokémon you will need to find it in the RAM and that is where the header N.pokeparty.c comes into play or its hex equivalent 4E 19 70 6F 6B 65 70 61 72 74 79 2E 63. In most cases there will be four instances of this header with the first one being the player’s party, the second one being the NPC’s party, the third one being the player’s party again, and the last one being the NPC’s party again (upon writing this I have realized that I did not test this with a multi-battle so the results my change for that). In some cases there may be an extra header before the first normal instance of it where different functionality such as Wi-Fi is mentioned. In order to start extracting a Pokémon you will need to start 20 bytes after the c in N.pokeparty.c, therefore the 21st byte onwards will be the start of the Pokémon data. Since it follows the same structure as party Pokémon in the save each Pokémon occupies 220 bytes so with some simple multiplication you can find the end of relevant data in the block. At this point I have covered general information and how to find the Pokémon, but now you probably want to know how to get a Pokémon from the RAM to the save even though the data is encrypted. 1. Locate the correct party block that has the Pokémon you want. 2. Copy the entire block or until the end of relevant data (if there is less than six Pokémon only copy up to the end of the last Pokémon). 3. Get a save file where the party Pokémon can be over written. 4. Copy the RAM block into the party block. 5. Open the save in PKHeX 6. Use PKHeX to update the checksum or remove the Pokémon from the same to your main save. For now this is the best method until an application is developed that can do this. How to Extract Pokémon from RAM Dumps During a Vs. Recorder Playback For these kind of RAM dumps the method above does not work as intended and the Pokémon will appear to have incorrect data if opened in PKHeX. The corruption occurs primarily with Pokémon obtained in a fifth generation game and is caused by the 0x5F byte which indicates which game the Pokémon was caught in being set to 00. In order to prevent this the Pokémon needs to be extracted from the RAM, decrypted without the use of PKHeX, opened in a hex editor, and manually change the 0x59 byte to either 14 for Pokémon White or 15 for Pokémon Black. This only needs to be done if the 0x59 byte is set to 00. Now just general remarks and interesting information from looking into this: In Pokémon Black2 and Pokémon White 2 there are NPCs that you can trade with and then have them challenge you to a battle with the traded Pokémon, but is it the same Pokémon? No, it is not the same Pokémon. In the end the Pokémon does maintain its PID, gender, nickname, ID, and SID, but its level is raised to the nearest 5th level, nature is changed, held item removed, met data wiped, IVs are changed to a predetermined set of IVs, EVs are set to 0, moves will reflect the four most recent moves that that species of Pokémon would know at the new level, and OT is wiped. As well, despite not usually being found in the RAM decrypted the Pokémon will have its name, ID, and SID decrypted in the RAM. Going back to generation four, Pokémon are also stored in the RAM encrypted, but it does not appear NPC Pokémon are always stored this way since 1 out of 5 attempts resulted in a good rip and not a glitch Pokémon. Therefore, keep using the information outlined in my earlier topic. For further reading please read my mapping of Pokémon in generation four RAM and generation five Pokémon structure in the technical documents. Special thanks to @BlackSharkfor providing some Pokémon White RAM dumps.
