  1. HELP! Just injected a GBA rom of Pokemon FireRed as a VC cia to my o2DS, running cfw 11.6 and god mode 9. I've fixed the save error you get at the beginning of the game (but message still appears as per usual), and used gm9 to dump the save file to my SD card. I tried to open the save file (linked here) to edit using PkHex but I get this error message, and it just opens to my default save (pokemon sun). I've tried changing the file extension to .pk3, .sav (instead of .gbavc.sav) and even .pk7, but I still get the error. I was hoping someone would know a way of fixing this, or otherwise another way to edit my gba vc save. Cheers 00040000002DEE00.gbavc.sav
  2. So I know that you can create Pokemon with pk hex and through other means I was wondering in terms of code what exactly is a Pokemon what characteristics make it legit or not what is the process of making one ?
  3. Download links at the bottom of this post. You need a Japanese 3DS, a Japanese Pokemon X/Y/OR/AS cartridge, and the CyberGadget save device to use this. If you have trouble running this program, try running it as an administrator. This is a modified version of the Cybergadget 3DS Save Editor executable that is both in English (though a japanese version is provided as well) and allows for direct editing of one's pokemon x/y save with PKHeX. You still need a Japanese 3DS, a Japanese Pokemon X/Y/OR/AS cartridge, and the CyberGadget save device to use this. Use 3DSSaveEditor_en.exe for English, and 3DSSaveEditor_ja.exe for Japanese. Instructions: Credits: Glitch, for providing me with translations for all the strings contained in the cybergadget executable. Kaphotics, for modifying the exe to interrupt and allow for direct editing with PKHeX. Downloads: 3DSSaveEditor_en.zip 3DSSaveEditor_ja.zip

PKHeX on Mac A User Friendly Guide for WINE Intro This guide will hopefully clarify a few things regarding WINE and PKHeX running on MacOS as well as help anyone start from scratch with WINE [in order to run PKHeX]. WINE is a fickle thing; it's not guaranteed to work (at all) but the success rate these days is impressive! So, don't get discouraged if things do not work the first time around. Nothing we do in this guide is permanent, although I encourage you to make a Time Machine backup of your system or at least backup your important data. With that being said, I have been using WINE for quite some time. Regarding PKHeX, It's going on almost a year and I have yet to experience any depressive issues using WINE to run it. I have done several clean installs of macOS Sierra and macOS High Sierra in order to give you the most accurate information possible. If I have missed something or you know any tips or tricks, I would appreciate the feedback! Also, you'll find only the bare minimum information in this guide of what you will need to get PKHeX up and running. I say this because without any theming, the app will look like an old school Windows program. NOTE: Aesthetics may not be the most important thing to consider (especially if you're in a hurry or maybe don't care) however there are some dependencies (winetricks) that are absolutely necessary for some programs to run. Fortunately PKHeX isn't too picky. Choices Download the PKHeX app in the PKHeX for Mac thread Use Winebottler to make a PKHeX.app for yourself Use Wineskin Winery to make a PKHeX.app for yourself (no support here) Use WINE to run the PKHeX executable via Terminal Use a Virtual Machine (VM) or something along those lines (no support here) Winebottler Pretty straight forward process. Tick all of the items with arrows next to them, like in the screenshot below. Also necessary winetricks for PKHeX: dotnet461; corefonts; cjkfonts; tahoma. May need to change security preferences to run the app: NOTE: Winebottler is the fastest, easiest "DIY" option for a beginner. (Some argue that Wineskin Winery is the fastest and most easy way to whip up an app. I'll say it just depends on your skill level, though I agree.) Another thing, apps may be less stable than if they were launched using other methods basically because of the lack of options Winebottler has to fine tune things (e.g.; adding a string in the Registry Editor to enable Retina compatibility.) Install WINE on your Mac [Run PKHeX Using Terminal] Installing WINE on your system using Homebrew is the most noob-friendly way [to install WINE on Mac] that I have found, so let us just use that. To start, I'll tell you that you will be installing 4-5 minuscule things on your Mac; Xcode CLT, Homebrew Package Manager, XQuartz, WINE, and some Winetricks depending on the executable your are attempting to run. In this instance, our target is PKHeX. So onto the first thing, Homebrew. Before you can use "brew commands" in Terminal, you must have Xcode Command Line Tools installed. If you already have Xcode installed on your Mac, you should be peachy. If not, no problem! Open Terminal to get started! Xcode CLT: xcode-select --install If you're asked to agree to Xcode's ToS, next type: sudo xcodebuild -license Homebrew Package Manager: /usr/bin/ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" When that finishes up, you'll want to make sure everything is in order: brew doctor For future reference, you can update Homebrew using: brew upgrade XQuartz: brew cask install xquartz WINE: brew install wine brew upgrade wine # For future reference That will create a 64-bit WINEPREFIX which will be located at: ~/.wine NOTE: If you would rather use the developer version of WINE, use these instead: brew install wine --devel brew upgrade wine --devel # For future reference Winetricks: brew install cabextract brew install winetricks brew upgrade winetricks # For future reference NOTE: You DO NOT need to install every winetrick available, just the ones your programs depend on to function. For PKHeX, you will need to install these; dotnet461, corefonts, cjkfonts, and tahoma (why not). Install the "tricks": winetricks "trick" # (e.g.; winetricks dontnet461) Complete list of Winetricks For some, the winetricks process will be easier with a GUI. I suggest installing Zenity if you want one: brew install zenity # After installation finishes, you will have a neat GUI for winetricks. Use: winetricks --gui Attention Okay, this is important, so listen up. It's a known issue that .NET Framework 4.5 and up, (dotnet45 and up) does not install properly on a 64-bit WINEPREFIX, which was installed by default earlier (brew install wine). That is okay because a 64-bit WINEPREFIX may come in handy in the future. To get around this issue, you will create a 32-bit WINEPREFIX. Creating the 32-bit prefix: WINEPREFIX=~/.wine32 WINEARCH=win32 wine wineboot You will now have a 32-bit prefix located at: ~/.wine32 Next, install the aforementioned winetricks in your new prefix. It is important that you use these next commands any time you want to run or install ANYTHING inside of that 32-bit WINEPREFIX. Remember, we need at least .NET Framework 4.6 to run PKHeX and we must install .NET Framework 4.6 in the 32-bit prefix, therefore we will be running PKHeX from inside of the 32-bit prefix. (I know, don't ask, lol) WINEPREFIX=~/.wine32 WINEARCH=win32 wine "Program.exe" WINEPREFIX=~/.wine32 WINEARCH=win32 winetricks "trick" Senario: You have done all of the above and you're ready to run "PKHeX.exe". Download PKHeX and remember its location. It's usually in the Downloads folder. Open Terminal and change directories to the PKHeX (version) folder. For example: cd ~/Downloads/PKHeX\ \(171205\) Then, run the executable: WINEPREFIX=~/.wine32 WINEARCH=win32 wine PKHeX.exe
  5. I want to create a nuzlocke tracker website directly from the .sav file. PKHex allows to export box Pokemon data to CSV but there is no way to export party pokemon. Is there a way to do it?
  6. Hey, guys! I'm looking for PKM files in the JPN region (ALL PKM from Gen1 to Gen8)! There are only ENG regions here, but I want PKM files from other regions (JPN, EUR, CHS, etc. ,,,). Or, I want a PKHeX plugin that changes the information of PKM files at once! I want to use it to change info such as nationality and TID all at once! I changed it little by little every day, but I'm sick of it! I'm going crazyyyyyyyyyyy!
  7. I'm trying to use PKHex to open my PBR backup save, but every time I get this error: From my research on these forums, PKHex's most recent version should be able to open and modify PBR saves. I don't know what any of these error messages mean. I just know there's nothing anywhere about this issue. Any help is appreciated! Thank you!   8. I'm trying to work with PKHeX, but the newest version (PKHeX 20.12.30) seems to be incompatible with the auto legality mods and they have no update (that I can find) for this newest release. If someone either has a copy of the PKHeX 20.11.28 (or any past version) or a newest release of the auto legality mods that are compatible with 20.12.30, I would really appreciate it.
  9. Note: I am new here, please forgive me if this wasn't the right place to put this question. So let me preface this: I am unable to use PkHex. I am a moderator in a discord focused on things like that, however I'm primarily there to assist people using Showdown, watch over people, etc. Many of my mod friends, the owner of the server, etc have PkHex, but no one seems to know the answer to this question. I can only use Showdown sets to generate, and I add batch editing commands as needed for various things like OT, nicknames, and so on. Due to this, I have a basic-to-moderate understanding of how batch editing commands work. I've been getting my wife a lot of the legendary and pseudo-legendaries that she isn't able to get herself, so that she can practice casual battling in her spare time. I've been using batch commands like .Version=32 or .Version=33 so that mons like these originate in USUM rather than Sword and Shield, so that she doesn't have to deal with the pain in the arse of Dynamax Adventures-- even having mons originate in SwSh's Dynamax Dens causes them to have strange, random IV rolls due to dyna adv requiring specific seeds for specific IV rolls. The bot our server uses will find the closest legal seed roll and assume those IV rolls for your mon. This causes a huge pain when creating things that need 0 IVs in certain stats. However, I've run into a problem. I've realized that the game will not allow a huge amount of the ones I've already created into even casual battles due to "not having the Battle Ready symbol". Going and manually giving all of these mons the BR symbol through the guy in the battle tower is an enormous pain since he deletes all the moves, however for the ones I've already created, I can accept that inconvenience. I know that if they originate in Galar, they don't need the symbol. However, a lot of them I'd prefer to originate in USUM so I can avoid dealing with the IV rolls of the DA dens, especially for trick room mons and things that need 0 Attack stats, etc. So I'm looking for a batch edit command I can use to force the BR symbol to avoid any of that extra work. I've combed through the batch edit beginner's guide here ("How to Use the Batch Editor in PkHex") but I can't find any conclusive answers. I got everything else I needed through there, like OT, PID, SID, nicknames, version info, and all that, so I was bummed to see nothing about symbols. I did see that someone else had asked a similar question in one of the forums, and someone answered them saying simply "Battle Version". So I then tried adding the command .BattleVersion=True into a showdown set of a mon originating in USUM, but that didn't change anything nor add the BR symbol. And the mon was perfectly legal for both USUM and SwSh, no weird egg moves or move tutor moves or anything like that. Even if it had been illegal, it would have told me. I'm at a loss. I'm sure it's got to be possible with the amazing resource that is Project Pokemon and PkHex, but I just can't figure it out. I'm not sure what I'm missing. If anyone has any answers on what batch edit command I could enter into a showdown set to put the Battle Ready symbol onto things, I'd GREATLY appreciate it. Hello, I wanted to load my Pokemon Bloody Platinum save file through PKHex, but whenever I attempt to open it, the following message is displayed: Attempted to load an unsupported file type/size. This could be caused by loading a different generation Pokemon file on an unsupported generation or your file is corrupt. File loaded: I:\Games\Pokemon Bloody Platin.sav File Size: 26244 bytes 262644 bytes (0x401F4) Could somebody please help me pinpoint the issue, and possibly fix it? Pokemon Bloody Platin.sav
  12. Be patient, I am super green at this. Anyway, I got this shiny Charizard I looked on RNG to generate via Pkhex on my FireRed Rom. Specs: Timid, Shiny--IVs: 31//31/26/31/30/31 (I want this to be my starter not an egg) Whenever I put the data on Pkhex, it looks like the Pokemon is legal. However, when I try to set it on my party box, it's like the program uncheckes the shiny characteristic. RNG tells me it's a shiny Pokemon with literally the exact same specs. What do I do? Here is the screenshot from RNG with the data and the shiny mark (!!!) IMG_3271.HEIC Here is when I check for legality after putting all the specs in order and marking the shiny characteristic.   15. Dear ProjectPokemon, how do you put a checkmark on a Ribbon in the Pokémon's summary when editing generation 8 Pokemon save data? For example, when I put a checkmark on the Master Rank Ribbon of my Cinderace; the game would say "Go Cinderace the Rank Master!" Is the "Obtained" field of the Ribbon also editable?   17. So, I'm having a issue with this program. Installed just to gen pokemon for myself in Omega Ruby on Citra, but every time I try to open it, it says this: "A fatal no-UI error has occured in PKHeX, and there was a problem displaying the details. Please report this to the author." Does anyone knows how to fix this?
  18. Okay, so I'm having an issue making this rayquaza. When I try to make it in the JPN language to make it more authentic, the game keeps saying there's an issue with the pokemon. Does anyone have one themselves that they genned in and if so can you send me the file that the game recognizes as legal?

  21. Hi people, (sorry for bad english) I have this problem when I try to reroll PID on this shiny celebi (event from the movie 2020). I tried to reroll a lot but I get this error everytime, what I'm doing wrong? (I can change without problems: EC, OT by language of the event, date, etc). I'm using the PKHEX's MG database and I think that it doesn't have fixed PID (like the Shiny Zeraora). I've tried rerolling with normal shiny and on square shiny
  22. Hi, it's me again. A pal of mine is requesting that someone make us in PkHex at least 2 of each new Legendary Pokémon from the Crown Tundra (Calyrex, Glastrier, Spectrier, Regieleki, Regidrago and the Galarian Birds) since we don't want to get scammed on eBay (they are SELLING their hacked mons for lots of money!). I will wait until someone can volunteer to create the mons, then I will post the files here and activate my Nintendo Switch online Membership Why at least 2 of them each? First I want 1 of each in both my Shield game and HOME, and secondly, we can only have 1 horse or Regi per game, not both, so I want to help my friend of mine get both horses and Regis. Therefore, I need 3 Glastrier, Spectrier, Regieleki and Regidrago in order to help her.     I am trying to creat ultra necrozma in my sword and shild save file but there are many errors (I am new to it so pls help in detail) so can someone tell me how I can do it
  24. Hi guys, I've been having some trouble with saving data on my soulsilver retail cart. After completing the game myself, I decided to save a backup and play in one of the contributed saves in the threads, this was about a year ago and everything seemed to work fine (i could save and open the game without difficulty). Recently I wanted to get into rng and decided to change both the sid and tid of the save through pkhex. Exported it and it restored perfectly. After about an hour of playing I decided to save the game and edit a few Pokemon through pksm (just a bit of fun, added pokerus into a chatot). Booted the game up, played a bit, saved and soft resetted. After the opening cutscenes, I got the blue corruption screen. Now whatever save I use, either a file found in the user contributed saves thread or a backup of the previous saves, the same results after saving the game happens. The main issue now that I think about it would be because I changed the OT/SID/TID of these saves? PS After a while of researching, I've realised that when saving the message reads 'saving a lot of data'. This lead me to the github page about an issue from editing box data in HGSS which caused this bug. Does anyone know any other ways to resolve this (don't really want to save multiple times due to the nature of RNG Heres the page https://github.com/kwsch/PKHeX/issues/2697 EDIT: Ignore this, ive found solutions
