  1. Right... please explain to me why each one of these files have no effort values. They have been extracted off my Heart Gold game, other than Kyogre, captured in the wild. Not hatched, wild.

Effort values have no relevance to PIDs from wild Pokemon. Individual values have correlation, assuming that it's a wild Pokemon.

  2. My, my. You should've included that in the first post from the start. All you'd have to do is look at the stats and copy them into party slots, though...

There's also an application for converting storage files to party files, but I can't use it. You know, Macs. It's somewhere on these forums, but it's pretty old.

  3. That file doesn't have a legal location met, it's just a line. Should be Farawayplace.

As for effort values, Leondarkfury... there's a such thing as Pokemon without effort values. Obviously, why else would EV-reducing berries exist? :\

Last I checked, the HG/SS Pokesav, English version, is not able to make working codes. There's a problem with the Game ID, I think. The ID Pokesav uses... is the Japanese one? ... Well, I know it doesn't work, I've tried it (On my N. American version, still, regions shouldn't be an issue in this case).

Use something like Codr's Pokemon Generator, that can make all sorts of working codes. Been tested by plenty, it definitely does the trick.

  4. Overthinkingly is correct. Last I checked, hatched Pokemon's PIDs have no specific algorithm, thus easily can be shiny.

Wild Pokemon, on the other hand, can be somewhat difficult to make shiny, unless you know how to do so.

  5. Wow. Congrats on making such an amazing tool. It automatically finds hex for you, has a great shiny generator, and has several other sweet bits. I think the ribbon images are kind of neat, haha.

A Mac version would be nice, though I'm able to run this through the assistance of CrossOver.

But yeah, awesome work here. I'll probably be using this over Pokesav, it's much more independent. :D 5 stars~

I decided to make this one since... Mewchu, you didn't add a region, thus making it to... well, I have no clue what it's going to say it's migrated from. Probably "----" or something close. Also, the Pokemon isn't legal, the PID isn't shiny. ;)

And here is my file for it. Trash bytes are not correct, since Macs do not allow the Normalizer, so I'd suggest you get it fixed by someone else if you want it to be completely legal.

  7. Once a Pokemon gets its hex values, those shouldn't change, so yes, you are correct. 46h stays 37, 86h remains 00.

As for the summary, it would stay "Arrived at..." No changes there.

  8. Sweet.

All I actually did was backspace the question mark, thus, you should be able to manually enter the name or delete the mark to make the OT come out correctly, as well as have the message disappear.

Were you using a template or editing directly from your .sav? That might've led to a problem if something was wrong with whatever you used.

Since that file worked out fine, the rest should be normal if you enter it manually.

  9. Right, deleted the question mark. Relatively sure all you need to do is backspace it, make sure the trash bytes don't don't have "E2 00" in front.

Here's the file, could you try uploading it to your game to see if the problem persists?

  10. So, is it just one file you're having trouble with? Or all of them? I'd suggest you post a file for examination, since that Gabite didn't seem to have any issues with it.

I've made countless files for my game, all coming out as "Met/Hatched at", so if those aren't the problem, then I don't know what it is.

But I can betcha it'll be fixed once we resolve your OT issue, so, yeah, a file displaying this question mark problem would be nice to look at.

  11. It doesn't look like anything is wrong in the screenshot, for the question mark.

Is it only when the Pokemon is sent to the game or something?

As for the "Apparently met" problem, you're sure you have the TID, SID, region, and language set correctly? Those are the only things I know it checks.

  12. Hey everyone I'm new. I registered on these forums because I need help making my Scizor legal. I created 5 pokemon and I was able to get all of them legal except for Scizor. No matter what PID/IV combo I try, it always comes out a hacked in the legality checker. Here's the file, if you could look into it I would be extremely grateful. I need him Adamant and Technician, which I believe is the 2nd ability. Gender doesn't matter. If it's the secret ID that needs to be changed then please do so, I just typed in any random number.

You didn't just generate a PID, right? That's a sure fire way to give it a hacked status.

Here you go, should be perfectly fine. The Special Attack IV was changed to 13 in making a legal PID.

  13. Hey, I can make these Pokemon for you.

It might help to use the official form, which can be found in the General Pokesav Request thread or the rules.

That would actually be much better, since I don't know what region you want these imported from, what natures, ID, etc. that you need, moves, IVs, you know, all of that good stuff.
