  1. Is there anyone on this site that might be able to better translate and navigate that website? Even ask around? I noticed the post date, and i thought the same thing

I'm not too sure.. if I get more time I'll try navigate it but can't guarantee. Unless anyone else has any time.

I think you may mean a save with Mew actually caught, so I will give you the save of JPN Emerald that has the Mew @suloku and I RNG'd. PS: @theSLAYER, I am not trying to spam, only be helpful. If you have to take this down, just let @scottishdanstfu download it.
Thanks. The Mew is in the party, and was caught with a wondercard added using the same methods as the above.

  3. Just thought I'd mention when I go into pkhex after receiving my magikarp it says the magikarp is illegal and comes up saying invalid relearn moves and unable to match to a mystery gift in the database? Not even when I edit region for the 3ds console it was received on? Any help? Sorry didn't know where to post this

  4. Well, pokémon link was more powerful than wondercards, but I think they realized they weren't using it as much.
Pokémon link could provide at the same time: 6 pokémon, 6 items, battlepoints and pokémilles.
The pokémon themselves were quite similar to wondercard, and they could also be locked to only be received once (as seen in ORAS demo and only there). Don't get me wrong, I think that they realized they weren't really using it and decided to use the space for more wondercards and kind of change wondercards so they can provide multiple things at once is a good improvement.
But now I wonder if pokébank will still reward battle points...I've been saving them for like 2 years, and receiving in SUMO seems quite right (all those expensive stones...).

Yeah those stones are extremely expensive let's hope they do trade over, I'm hoping they don't delay the release like they did with XY I really want my mews in SUMO

  5. I think what I said was confusing.

Pokemon Bank receives Wonder card from Nintendo Servers.
Then sends it to your save as Pokemon Link.

But in reality, the data structure is pretty much the same as wonder cards.

They realized it's redundant, and made it the one and the same in Pokemon Sun and Moon.

    Ahhhhhhh I get ya!

  6. I'm actually in Asia. Way South of Asia. We get dual-region serial codes, which is nice.

Link Pokemon are actually Wonder cards! Just that they split the save offsets.

They've  reunited them for Gen 7.

That's awesome and I never knew that I still need to activate link to get the pokemon though in the WC6 event file?

    Sorry for derailing the post.

  7. I'll say a great way to start is to stay connected to different sources of news,

attend as many events as possible.

Granted, my country doesn't really get events, and when we do, it's usually a rehash of others (though we do get some interesting ones),

so it's makes the experience overall enjoyable and pleasant!

I take it your from the UK... I am too aha yeah I hate that they rehash old ones but my first event I had ever been to was sun and moon release so I got the vc mew from there. I'm just trying to find the time to do the other ones like link pokemon gen 6 and 7's.

    :)

  8. yeah all we needed was someone with a Japanese console AND the Mew to transfer it to Sun and Moon then extract the pk7.

And that's something I intend to do.

Can't wait! Trying to get into event collecting again but there's so much to get and some still needing discovery.

  9. Let's see:
Gen I and II games trading are not region free.
To be more specific, back then regions were likely only differentiated only via the language of the game.
To my understanding, European language games are able to trade among one another,
But one can't trade between European and Japanese, or vice versa.
(to be precise, I think the games can connect, but it could lead to corruption)

For 3DS VC, they upped the ante, and language locked the games altogether.
Japanese game wireless connection would not even pick up a English game.
(However, installing a Japanese Red on US console to collect the Mew totally worked, as done by my friend who helped with my contribution)

    Now,
If you were concerned about Pokebank's support, I'll say there's no need to be.
VC Games have different Title IDs across the different languages,
so Pokebank can simply read the save using the correct save offsets for those Title IDs.

Hopefully, these answers cover your concerns.
    EDIT:
In case you were worried about the region locking I mentioned in earlier posts,
I was talking about how it would affect people who installed a Japanese Pokemon on US console.

People who installs their games normally won't be affected.

Oh I'm sorry for the fragmented reply what I meant was to get the Mew from the Japanese console to the international version for the event Contribution... so we can at least inject the legit pokemon into our saves.

  10. So I was reading through this and I was wondering... for the people who have a Japanese console couldn't they transfer to pokebank on their console and trade it from sun/moon to international copy as why would they announce such a feature if it was only for America/Europe? As you said the roms save differently well that would mean all pokemon not just mew be unavailable for pokebank so trading to it must alter the pokemon file some way to make it region free.. sorry if this wrong but just thought I'd mention it.

  11. 96 comes before 97 in the alphabet.
It wouldn't be inconceivable that a magazine could have a date from a year earlier.

Oh of course sorry complete dumb moment it would of been a picture of a previous event. Would really know why they have the 3 different diagrams but like you said it's probably about the event.

  12. The first post has a link to a legit mew (untouched level 5), and here are another 14 that Tripred kindly uploaded for the community to enjoy (most untouched at level 5): https://goo.gl/tr06GS
We discussed the UK event mew on another thread, we are mostly certain all of them are exactly the same mew, but if you could upload yours for confirmation that would be great.

Yeah that's no problem I use pkhex so do you want me to just dump the Mew file or would you like my save file dumped and I can't see the link to the untouched mew in the first post that's why I asked :)

  13. I have since I was 7 at the time always wanted a legitimate mew and also wanted to have a collection of every mew released I'm so glad I've found this thread. Only thing Is I can't see the link for mew save from cirellio could you send me the link purchase and as a thank you I could dump my 2016 sun and moon UK release event mew if needed ?

Thanks again for your hard work

Ps yes that's a Coro Coro Lilypad mew signed by the creator of mew Shigeki Morimoto :)
