Are there any other TMs/Shadow Machines for Shadow Moves other than Shadow Rush in version 1.2.1? Or is Shadow Rush the only Shadow Move TM/SM at the moment? If there are more, where can I get them?

It's been a while since I last played, but most of the others I believe you get as rewards for the Sets at Orre Colosseum.

I've done most of the post game and found the remaining 15 shadow Pokemon and stumbled onto Suicune, Raikou, and Kyogre as well. I believe I'm playing the 1.20 version, and I can't seem to find Entei, Groudon, or Rayquaza anywhere. I remember someone saying there was a guide for this hack, but I haven't the slightest clue as where to find it. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Entei is on the deck of the SS Libra. Groudon is on the left side of the lava room that leads to all the dead end trainer, just before the block lifts in Citadark Isle. Rayquaza is at the top of the Key Lair.

Does anyone know where the TM for Foul Play is?

I'm starting to think I missed it.

Foul Play is in one of the chests in the Snagem Hideout, I forget if it's the chest you open with Gonzap's Key or not.

Yes, it does, the Eviolite mentions in the description that it works for all Pokemon who gained a new evolution in Gen 4. Works on Magmar, Electabuzz, Togetic, Rhydon, Tangela, Yanma, Roselia, Sneasel, Dusclops, Lickitung, Gligar, Piloswine, Porygon2 and Nosepass.

What I mean is will it work in xg

This is exactly what I said before. Since Dusclops does evolve into Dusknoir in a later game, Eviolite works on it in XG.

Well that kinda sucks tbh, i was super hyped for the colosseum but this change isnt doing it any favours

I'm not sure if it's possible to give it the same treatment that the other Colosseums were given, where there's that blank screen with the Yes/No prompt that takes you to the PC so you can re-organize beforehand, but I would guess that's intentionally left out, since it's meant to be a 4-streak challenge with the same team like the original.

I don't really mind it, I like having to have my leads try to be a catch-all for everything.

So I just beat Greevil and now I got the message from Eldes about Ardos and the last 15 shadow pokemon and I'm confused - where would I find Ardos in these locations? Is he in the colosseums? Where would he be for Outskirt Stand? It's kinda vague and I went to each spot.

If you read the e-mail one more time, you'll notice it says he was speaking to Trainers in each location.

    Those trainers have Shadows now.

On today's streaming note, came across a fantastic showing of the bug currently plaguing Sitrus Berry and made a highlight of the battle to show it in action.

    https://www.twitch.tv/videos/396421551

To summarize what I believe happened, Earthquake activated my Sitrus Berry, then for some reason Arcanine's +3 Flare Blitz was given Earthquake's targetting properties, and it even cut off the rest of the Earthquake's animation, annihilating the entire field and not even obtaining recoil from Flare Blitz.

Shortly after Dolphin was giving me issues in the middle of a 4 on 1 stallwar that Umbreon was going to win, crashing right near the end.

It'll be a couple days before I play again.

Hey, i missed a shadow pokemon in the fight against Greevil. Do i need to battle him again?

    Yes, you do.

On the things I noticed today note:

Rock Slide has a weird animation interaction if it hits a second target after triggering a Sitrus Berry, it looked a little bit like Extremespeed hit the second target.

Also, Lovrina's Fluffy apparently doesn't want to do anything but Cotton Guard, even when at +6. There was one turn out of about the 7 it had where it threw out a random Dragon Claw, but other than that, it was full potato.

  8. Couple more interesting bugs I came across yesterday whilst playing.

If the Aura Filter is knocked off of a Pokemon, that Pokemon is still immune to Shadow Sky's chip damage per turn.

Also, type resistance berries end multi-hit moves on the first hit. See Rindo Berry Swampert ending Bullet Seed Breloom's attack after one hit.

Finishing off the main story today.

  9. Quick post regarding some small bugs that I noticed today whilst streaming.

Had an interesting visual glitch when Toxic Orb activated on one of my opponent's Pokemon, it flicked through all the names of the enemy team in the process, saying they all had Toxic Orbs. Of course, that's not actually true.

Also a major one here, I ran into a Rapidash on Mt. Battle, Zone 26, that prepared for Bounce, and never came down. Also noticed this with Solarbeam being charged for infinitely from the AI. Needless to say I didn't have a move that could hit the bouncing Rapidash and softlocked, since the PP never faded from Bounce, as it was just constantly bouncing up into the air.

    I'll tackle Citadark Isle tomorrow.

Is there a reason as to why the game doesn't use caps for menus or nouns anymore? It's figuratively burning my eyes and turning me off from the patch on it's own which is a shame cause I was really looking forward to a Gen7 Colo/XD game... (Idk why but i really don't like the fact that everything is lower case but other then that I'm really excited so see Gen7 changes~ So thank you for all that...but I would honestly pay to get the caps back @-@)

(On an unrelated note...I kinda wished they'd just use all of Coloseeum's battle music...it was much better imo...)

At least that music plays during all the Colosseum's you can visit in the game, apart from Nascour's nothing and Evice's theme. And you'll want to visit the Colosseums and do all four rounds of each anyway for the items and money if you're planning a playthrough.

On an unrelated note to this, I encountered a crash situation yesterday involving a wild encounter with Porygon2, and I'm not sure exactly what happened. It froze just before I was able to input a command, so I'm not sure if it was an ability trying to trigger from P2 that caused it. Other than that, just a small text problem with Naps' dialogue before you battle him in the Shadow Lab, it looked like the last sentence cut itself off to me. @StarsMmd

Should be proceeding with this again today in the next hour or so.

  11. Looks like I have a couple of weeks of free time on my hands due to needing to take paid holidays before April, haha.

I'll be doing a run through of the game on the most recent patch over on Twitch again starting today, if people are curious and want to see the game in action.

Is it intended that not all of my Pokemon can be burned at once? I was facing that trainer that Vander told me to battle (the one with the Sableye that knows Will-o-Wisp), and all my Pokemon except Poochyena were burned. It said that Poochyena wasn't affected when Sableye used Will-o-Wisp on Poochyena.

That would be Dark types innate immunity to Prankster-boosted Priority status moves in effect.

That's actually really cool, I didn't there was a modifier like that. I've actually caught all the Shadows now besides Ho-oh, so out of curiosity what was it? I didn't notice anything in particular being super weak, since I usually just hit them with Shadow Madness two or three times and paralyze them, all the battles were kinda running together in postgame.

It was the Dunsparce in Pyrite Town.

IDK if it's full odds since I somehow got 2 Shiny Shadows, Banette and Gyarados. Either I'm luckier than I've ever been or Stars changed the odds.

There's a Shadow Farfetch'd in postgame, it showed up as Lv 1 but it was OHKOing half my team which were all Lv57-64 with Shadow Fury, a move I hadn't seen before that kept raising its Atk stat. It was also taking no damage from attacks, I tried False Swipe from Zangoose and it did nothing. Took 4 or 5 battles to manage to catch it with more balls over all attempts than most of the legendaries. Then when I checked its stats they were normal for a Lv. 1 and it lost Rattled as its ability. So all in all I'm pretty confused.

The shiny odds were changed, but to what exactly, I don't have the numbers. It's certainly more common, since in the older versions where any NPC Pokemon could be shiny, you could run into about 10 of them before you beat Citadark Isle. (At least, that was my average luck)

That Farfetch'd in question actually uses the Shadow level modifier to it's maximum effect. When you catch it, it's level 1, but when you fight it, it's got level 100 stats. The same goes for another Shadow in the post-game that you'll see, but in reverse, it's actually way lower level than it looks.

  15. Orre Singles is done.

I did notice a couple of things during play today.

A few text things from Orre:

Gonzap's opening dialogue misspells Snagem as Sangem

whew isn't capitalized in Willie's loss dialogue

aaaargh isn't capitalized in Set 7's semi-final dialogue.

Also noticed a couple of interesting moments where Choice locked Pokemon Struggled to death despite having other moves.

Examples of that are Purple's Kingdra running out of Draco Meteor(Still having PP for Dragon Puilse/Ice Beam) and Red's Typhlosion running out of Eruption.(Didn't try to use any other move.)

the only reason i don't want to do that is i'd have to do 50 something odd battles to get to where i need to in terms of levels but i may just end up grinding it out in a couple hours lol

You'll have to go there eventually if you want to do everything in the game anyway, might as well start it now, maybe even use some Coupons for some held items to help out.

Yeah outrage has been broken for a while but I have no idea when or why it changed. I'll try and see again though.

Snattle's porygon 2 is an exception and is specifically programmed to have trickster. ?

I figured the P2 was probably special, given the team gimmick.

  18. Just chiming in with a few other things I've noticed and remembered during my off-stream training.

In Mt. Battle Area 8, there was a Dragonite that used Outrage, but it wasn't locked into it, as it went for Aerial Ace immediately after.

Also, Snattle's Porygon2 still has Trickster when it's technically impossible now, in both fights that it's in.

  19. Whilst doing some grinding in preparation for today's stream, I've noticed a couple of things.

Close Combat's stat change animation is different, showing a raise instead of what the text says, which is a drop.

Tail Glow is also inverted in this way.

And Storm Drain apparently blocks the user's own Rain Dance, which isn't right.

Also, I forget if you mentioned this before in another post, but Moxie, Storm Drain and Lightningrod all use the blue increase stat indicator for Speed instead of the actual stat.

On another note, the stream will be live shortly.

  20. Today's stream went pretty well, got a Shiny Nidoqueen I probably won't use, had Weezing Shadow Boom many times, and saved by accident after catching my last team member with a bad nature and bad ability, haha.

There was one thing I noticed, during the battle with Matt for the System Lever, his Primeape was getting double Moxie boosts after KOing something with Close Combat.
