  1. "Player received a special starter Pokémon"? you know theres a code the vanilla game uses when referring to the player. like "[Player's name] received a special starter Pokémon" why didn't you use that? just copy paste. thats kind of immersion breaking, for, whatever immersion the game can possibly give anyway, i don't want to be reminded that i'm playing a video game. like why is it typed like that??

Allz i wanted to do was add new Pokémon to a route (drillbur and sandshrew/slash) the number of Pokémon near the power plant was dreadfully low. i saved my changes and this popped up.

  3. well if you look at the pokemon in PKHeX and randomize its IV stats it gets random characteristics. just copy the IV number for the pokemon you're editing in PK3DS. and you could just ..imagine it has the characteristic you wanted due to the IV number. like if you give the Pokémon a decent IV score it does in fact get a wee bit stronger due to this then just 0 ivs like vanilla. thats how i do it anyways.

  4. I don't think your even editing a trainer. if theres no Trainer name in that dropdown list (top right) and its just brackets and numbers (idk what that's for) then just don't edit those. edit the options that have trainer names. if you want to add new Pokémon to an actual in game trainer then select the Trainer tab. left click an empty box click "view' and make your changes. then left click the box again and click 'Set" and the selected Pokémon will appear in the list. if you ever used PKHeX its works kind of like that.

Edit:i Okay after refreshing my memory of Pokémon UMoon PK3DS Select a trainer you want to edit (Drop down list, far right) left click on the Pokemon that you see there click 'View", then left click on an empty box and select 'Set'. this'll copy the previous Pokémon, now you can edit it to your liking (species/level/nature etc) and keep doing this until the trainer has the Pokémon and number you want them to have.

For the stats, i like to (depending on its level) set it's IVS/EVS to how i'd assume it would be if you manually trained the Pokémon up to said level. maybe give it an extra 10 or 20 EVs in some random stat. (perhaps the trainer used some vitamins on it at some point) make things interesting.

For the moves i like to use https://www.serebii.net/pokedex-xy/steel.shtml to check what level up moves the pokemon i'm editing will have at its selected level, so you don't accidentally make an OP pokemon when it shouldn't be like that at its level. (maybe throw in an HMTM move for some random spice) and you could even let the trainer have a potion or an X item or two to make it more difficult.

Change all the trainers you want to edit then just X out of the program Repackage the rom file  and play. erm..if theres anything you'd like to know lemmy know. i'm no expert but i know a few things at least. (i don't do randomizers)

I was afraid it wouldn't be something simple because some Pokémon are gender specific (I was thinking something could be done with the batch editor). Anyway, I just recorded a macro for some mouse movements and clicks and voilà, did it in some minutes.

Hey, just incase your wondering idk, I've just (as of time of writing) found an option for filling the Pokédex Way quicker. in the Pokédex section theres a modify button that will allow you to complete the dex in one click. the shiny thing thats still something your going to have to do yourself it would seem, however. you probably don't even care anymore but when i found this i thought "hey maybe that guy would want to know" idk take this what you will.

  6. I simply* want to find a way to change my characters dumb get up at the start of the game so i can look how i want to look. In Pk3DS in the trainer editor section theres XZY coordinates changing them to the supposed cords of the clothing shop on Melemele island results in just a black screen when you load the save. i heard in an another thread that you have to copy/paste the cords to some other file or something...

does anyone know how exactly to change the cords so i can warp around without actually activating the story triggers. so i can get the the clothes shop and hairstylist and then warp back to where i started and Start the game with a cool get up as apposed to the dumb one you start out with.

like what file, do i need to paste the XY cords for this trick to even work?.

  7. In PKHeX where it says its illegal if you mouse over and click it it will say why its illegal. Maybe it has illegal moves? it can't be captured in your version of the game if at all perhaps? wrong Pokéball for encounter type etc.? maybe is just, you can't capture a shiny version of these Pokémon. what does it say?

The AI value is a byte composed of one-bit flags, add up the values of the flags you want. If the value is 0, the game will basically choose a move at random. With each active flag, that random behavior is modified in some way.

Note that the numbers on the left are decimal values

1 - Will not use ineffective moves (e.g. Earthquake against a Flying Type), will be more likely to use Super Effective moves
2 - Checks to see if a move will have no effect (e.g. Thunder Wave on a Pokemon that is already Paralyzed), or if a move will very possibly have no effect (e.g. if the opponent's Evasion is raised, more likely to use something like Swift or Aura Sphere).
4 - If the Pokemon has a move that will definitely knock out the opponent if it hits, it will use it. Will always select a high-priority move if it will do so (if it has multiple options)
8 - On the first turn, will always use a Status move (Thunder Wave, Light Screen, Dragon Dance, etc)

    ---

I'm not sure if these actually do anything in the 3DS games, I do know they did in the GBA era:

16 - Will use risky moves more often. This includes suicide moves like Explosion, OHKO moves like Horn Drill, moves conditional on opponent actions like Focus Punch or Mirror Move, moves with a high crit chance, Belly Drum, etc.
32 - Prefers to use strongest damaging moves

    ---
64 - Likes to use Baton Pass (so basically only useful on a trainer that is doing a Baton Pass chain.
128 - Double/Triple Battle AI (if not enabled, AI will do things like attack its teammate in Double/Triple battles).

So basically all trainers you want to have at decimal 7 (= 1+2+4).
If the trainer is a Double or Triple Battle trainer, you want the value set to 128 + 7 = 135.

I suspect that the person you are quoting was using the hexadecimal representation, decimal 135 is hexadecimal 87

OOH.. shit so thats how it works.. i figured the higher it was the better/harder the AI will be. that answers some questions. hm :/ so.. just keep Trainers around 8 then?

    Hi,

I have set my location to the coordinates listed below but I end up in a glitched black area. Should the USUM coordinates be different from SM?

    Map: 49
    X: 28202.00000
    Y: 0.00000
    Z: 17408.00000

And of course nobody responds to this, (sorry btw) i wanna know how to warp to locations just so i can "start" the game from the beginning looking how i want my character to look. but its like its a big secret or something i can't find any information on how to solve the black screen issue.

If you can, please send level caps for main battles (gym leaders, elite 4 and team flare) that you think are fine for a balanced/hard difficulty hack rom for xy, and yes, I plan to add exp share, I’m asking for it because i don’t know nothing about level caps, and I’d need some.

sorry if that’s too much, I just need them to make the project im planning to do, I just don’t want my project to be unbalanced

ill give you credits when the project is finished, thanks.

Just download a program called PK3ds

This video will at least show you how to install the program and after that it should be quite strait forward to use. its an easy tool to use, it just requires a bit of time to edit trainers and gym leaders. you can also edit the story text if you want to, among other things.

  11. sorry if this isn't where i should put this but, The selection of clothing in these games is abysmal. and i'm honestly surprised nobody's ever dealt with this issue in any way, can anyone tell me where these cloth's are stored in some file somewhere?. so maybe for X and Y's case i could perhaps add new colors for the clothes that are in the game, like how it is with Sun/Moon. is there a tool i could use to access this? if not could there be?

  12. So theres a Trainer appearance editor in the PKHEX app that allows you to change your characters clothing.

So changing the hair shirt pants etc. all works fine. but why is there various options to change makeup? when i change these settings in any way my character just defaults to her beginning get up?. even though she had a blue shirt shorts and the like before hand. theres a freckles option that can be changed*? and it doesn't screw with my characters look, (does the default female character have freckles?) however her face icon on the save file looks a bit screwy.

But any other options mascara, lipstick etc. all reverts my character to her default clothing. am i missing something here? is there certain numbers that correspond with particular lipstick colors? like 2 4 6, instead of 1 2 3 er whatever?. theres no dropdown list of options its just an editable number. not sure how that works exactly can anyone fill me in on this?

  13. These are just my wild imaginings but would be cool to see none the less imo ha ha.

    Name: 1000 Strikes

    Type: Fighting

Attack: Base 100, 90 Hit rate

    PP: 3

Description: The user unleashes a blindingly fast flurry of skin rending Punches, organ tearing palm strikes and bone shattering chops.

This move is unique (as in no other Pokémon knows this move) and can only be learned by TM. any fighting type Pokémon with fists (excluding Hitmonchan) can use it but its base damage will be lowed to 70. for full effect teach to Machamp.

    Name: Armageddon

    Type: Dragon

Attack: 1000, 100 hit rate (95 hr vs flying Pokémon)

    Charge time: 3 turns

    PP:1

Description: The user, after three turns unleashes a Mega Powerful beam of Energy annihilating anything within its path. it doesn't need to be accurate.

This move is unique (as in no other Pokémon knows this move) and can only be learned by TM. This is the ultimate attack. if the enemy can't take down the Pokémon using it within 3 turns, regardless if the enemy trainer has any other Pokémon left, if this move fires, you win. if targeting a flying type Pokémon however only that Pokémon will be taken down and the battle will continue. the one hit win only applies if targeting a non flying type Pokémon. it will then require three entire battles to recharge to be able to use the Pokémon and the move again, One battle if sent to a Pokémon center right away. the Pokémon who used it is essentially "fainted" until then. IF this move actually misses, somehow.. the Pokémon who actually dodged it deserves a medal and a one month all exclusive paid vacation to a location of its choice. and the Pokémon who used the move won't be able to fight afterwards and will have to be switched out.

  14. Sorry if this isn't what you meant but, you need to be on the Attacks tab, select any moves you want to teach the pokemon once thats all taken care of right click on the edited pokemons image in the party box and select 'Set' and it will save your changes. save and quit and start your game and your lvl 5 Mudkip will know the, no doubt OP moves you selected lel :D

Oh and your image is broken, i can't see what you put there, hence this comment.

    Awe. :( That's poopy.

Also I didnt wanna start a second topic so I'll ask here:

I have a shelmet that I want to evolve to Accelgor. How can I make it evolve through pkhex?

You'll Need an additional Program Called PK3DS this tool is quite powerful, in it theres a tab called evolutions, and with it you can get rid of all Trade/item/relationship type evolution requirements and make them instead evolve by level, like the large majority of other pokemon, as it really should be imo but whatever. among other cool things you can do to make your game your own.

this is the tutorial i used to get it.  vvvv

  16. Hello, i've noticed a rather off issue with PKHeX, the Pokepuff tab that allows you to give yourself whatever Puffs you want, doesn't seem to....work, right, as in when i look up pokepuffs online and it says that Mint pokepuffs for instance are supposed to be green, but when i add a bunch of mint puffs, ingame they are actually Sweet puffs because they're are Pink not Green as they should be. are the Puffs..mixed up or something? like lets say i want Mint and sweet Puffs, i add them, they say mint and Sweet puffs, but ingame they are ALL Sweet puffs (Pink). or..am i missing something? i even tried adding all the flavors to the list and yet all i get is mostly Pinks and Mocha's, Maybe one or two greens. and Citras is supposed to be The orange Puffs right? and yet allz i get is Mostly Pinks/Sweets. whats the deal?

  17. Sorry if this isn't were i should put this, but When i load up PK3DS ( pokemon Y ) and click on the Wild encounters Button make a quick change, adding in a pokemon that comes in Pokemon X, Gastly. When i go to save the encounters (Button) it pops up an Error.

Now this is odd to me because i added Misdreavus and Gothita (import only pokemon) to Route 2 and it worked perfectly fine. i'm trying to add Gastly to Route 16 where a few ghost types can be found. and yet it crashes or at least pops up an error but i can't actually save the changes. can anyone look at the error and tell me wth this all means? if at all possible please and thank you.

  18. download button is on green button not red one, you should install ad blocker. you still can't see what different ads download trap button with true download button? lol.

Red button? What? i clicked the link on the first post that said Attached files, BW Tools *so many gb* and the Mediafire link, Both of em lead me to a download page it downloaded the tools THEN it immediately got quarantined by my antivirus (Big red window) so i then got rid of it. and yeah i have adblock.
