  1. The file size should be fine. The actual contents inside the ROM file is actually less than ~524mb (it's actually a little more than 262mb). However, filesizes have to follow multiples of 2 so that's why the ROM had to be buffered up to ~524mb.
Just to elaborate on this, DS chips are made in multiples of 2, so the available sizes re 256MB or 512MB. 256MB isn't enough to store 274MB, so the 512MB cartridge is used. Most ROM dump tools dump the entire ROM, including the unused parts. There are ROM trim tools to remove the unneeded parts of any untrimmed ROM. So this is normal.

Thank you both for the clarification. :)

  2. Finally decided to play this hack and omgz it's awesome!!! So many pokemon I want to use I'm having trouble deciding on who to keep on my team lol. I do have a question though. What is the proper file size of the game after you apply the patch? I'm playing Volt White 2 and the patched game file is 281,534 KB (274 MB). So far things seem to be working fine (I just started the game), but I just want to make sure that it patched correctly since the original file size was 524,288 KB...

  3. It was a design choice I made. I at first had it half cut like that, but it left a big black space between the L and A that look aesthetically unpleasing. So I opted for this slightly altered design for the black.

The actual English logo doesn't even have the pokeball, it just says Pokemon above it in the classic trademark style.

But maybe putting a line where it normally ends might be an even better choice, so it feels more like a pokeball.. hmm

Oh I see, I didn't notice that. I personally would do it like the original just to make it more authentic. But I see what you mean... it's your call though. Great job with the logos regardless!

  4. This is just a minor nitpick, but I think the Black 2 Logo is a little off:

The part that says "Pokemon" isn't supposed to be completely red, but like the White 2 Logo, where it's cut off to look like Pokeball. Again, this is just a minor nitpick, not a big deal but it would be cool if it can be fixed for V3. Great job and thank you to all the people who made this project possible! :D

  5. Well....this isn't PKMDB so I couldn't tell you what they did. I have no idea.

As far as I know, you cannot nickname those BD events.

The PKMDB is the pokemon database that used to be here. It was just moved. At least, that's my understanding of it since I can't find the pokemon database on this site anymore. And sorry for the noob question but was does BD stand for (I'm bad with acronyms).

Also, the Celebi's name is still Serebii (Celebi in Japanese Katakana) but the nickname box is checked. Hopefully, someone who has a legit Ageto Celebi will answer and enlighten me.

  6. I just downloaded the Ageto Celebi from PKMDB.com and ran it through the Legality Checker and it shows that it has the Nickname Flag checked. Is that supposed to be correct? How was the Ageto Celebi in the database obtained? Was it obtained by someone making it from scratch? Or was it obtained by someone getting it directly from the Bonus Disc and then Pal Parked it into a Flash Cart?
