Hi,
I had a strange dream tonight and thought it can be a really good idea in fact: a contest for the best idea of event Pokemon.
The purpose is to think a little about event, what do they represent for GF, why some Pokemon distrib will be a good thing or not.
In order to make it fair I thought it'll better like this:
-from today to January 25th all entries are welcome and people can discuss a bit about them.
-from January 26th to January 31st we'll vote for the best idea.
If it's a Pokemon you can legally obtain I propose to distribute it, if it's not we'll only create the file.
The winner will have an exclusive present: a hidden grotto Togetic from Black2/White 2.
Hope you'll enjoy it.

My expectations were real, you can get the other Pokemon according to @BlackShark:
"Every Pokemon on the Ranch, even those that you can't transfer over, has almost full pk4 data in the save file. Those that will never see any Gen 4 game have a blank OT and other missing data while those that you could obtain from Hayley have their full valid data stored.
You can find them starting at offset 0x26C8."
Don't know if it applies to Club Look-See or if they are in the ROM instead but that's a first good news.
Now all we have to find is a Japanese save with the event trades ^^

Speaking about the Japanese Event Trade

-Second we should check at the ROM which contains the initial trades, maybe the event ones are just unlocked during the Japanese Platinum update?
So hurry, before the Wii shutdown, if someone can export a ROM and a save with the Japanese update (and if possible with one of the event ranches) it can help us a lot.
Of course if there is anyone with a good Wii hacking knoweldge it'll help us too.

Yes, it is. Actually there is no hack check online unfortunately. But the only legal way to get it is via the Pokeball Plus which downloads a shiny-lock Mew into your Let's Go save.

Hi,
I'm opening this thread in order to see if we know how to reproduce the event in-game that allowed you to get the Metagross/Flygon/Meowth/Octillery/Slacking trades?
Plus, I was looking at the Club Look-and-See and I was asking myself if their ranches contain only sprites of their Pokemon or if there are datas inside?
As I know Dolphin emulation for that game is not possible because of the lack of compatibility with the DS so it can be complicated to check.
But who knows with a real save imported into Dolphin and RAM opened in Hxd ???

The mystery is growing about Illusion Forest legendary beasts.
Actually I searched around Zoroark datas in the RAM in order to find something but all I got were empty slot and that strange thing (which can be the key of the mystery but I don't understand what it is).
Plus I noticed something weird at the same place @theSLAYER found the Entei/Raikou/Suicune notes, just before the fight I found that:

My theory for the moment is that the game generates the sprite and the nickname of a legendary beast and that's all. But it doesn't make sense if they can be shiny. Because a PID must be generated to do so and it seems to not use the same as Zoroark. What the hell did GF do?
It totally explain why it's shinylocked but why didn't they generate one instead of using that weird trick? At least it can explain why we don't have that trick anymore since but I really don't understand it.
In any case if an upcoming day we found the datas don't hope too high. The beast will have Zoroark ability, gender and attacks.
Edit2: If you catch the legendary beast without any damage like with a MasterBall it'll display the following message:

Apart Graveler/Golem we're also missing: Wigglytuff, Vileplume, Poliwrath, another Poliwhirl for Politoad, another Golbat ?, another Seadra for Kingdra, another Electabuzz and another Magmar.

The fact Let's Go doesn't have a WC system is really bad, I hope they will fix it for gen8.
Another event that should occur in the upcoming year is film19 Mewtwo. Will it be on Switch ? Probably.

Hold on you forgot Berries distrib in Japan in January.
I also suspect a new Pokebank distrib in the upcoming year.
Maybe the 2 missing Tapus but that's a speculation here.
I don't think gen7 is totally dead, especially because of VGC using USUM.

I never realised that Cruz (Kurusu) was a proto-Popplio until HoopsandHipHop last video so now I'll work on a way to transfer it to gen7 via Bonsly trick. I just have to.

Just wanted to check if it's a typo before hunting itIt's not a typo, it's something I discovered thanks to the Pokedex. Serebii had a lot of errors in its list, I already sent them a tweet to correct it.
I'll contribute when the Switch will be hacked with the last version almost all of Let's Go underleved ecept the Beedrill which I cannot have.

As exepected Kanto Geodude and Hitmonchan are every hard to find.
Don't know if the level caps during trade are due to the new update.
Didn't get any new since you don't already have.
Will update the list.

@theSLAYER The list is updated. If only there could have nest of Hitmonchan I think it's the rarest we still have to find. Gengar and Golem can be hard to get too.
