  1. If you're offering NOK anything, you're offering hacks. Obviously you have nothing against hacks, since they're listed in your post. You're also offering GTS 2009 events, which are dubious at best since I doubt anyone has had theirs confirmed by the Daisuki Club. I'm sure you're offering other hacks too, but because the Pokemon names are in different languages I can't really tell.
  2. As said, Nintendo doesn't host the tournaments nor do they make the Pokemon games. At least for this and last year, it's never been 6v6 Doubles but it's 4v4 doubles. And no, it's not banned. Most of the banned list are exclusive legends for one region, event legends, and anything that evolves after level 50..
  3. Pokemon from the Gamecube games are "Distant Land" from Pal-Park. There is no Arceus event and won't be until the summer. It can't even be obtained via glitches, because the Hall of Origin can't be entered by just walking through walls.
  4. In most battling communities, even those that don't by default follow Smogon rules and tiers, Garchomp is uber. So if it's for competiitve play, keep that in mind. It's simply what you want it to do. If you want power, Band it with a Jolly nature. Revenge kill? Adamant or Jolly with a scarf. And if it's in-game , then it really doesn't matter.
  5. The egg OT/ID# would be whoever hatches the egg, not the OT/ID who obtained the egg. If you trade an egg via D/P, it'll look something like this: Nature Date Link Trade If you hatch an egg yourself, it'll look like Nature Date the egg was obtained Day Care Couple Hatched at [wherever] Date the egg was hatched description description And if you trade something that you hatched, add the words "Apparently hatched" or something like that.
  6. Pal Park looks like this: Nature Date that it was Pal-Parked on [area it's native to]* Arrived at lvl whatever The area that appears is ONLY where it's native from, not the game it was migrated from. Like Mewtwo can ONLY be from Kanto, regardless of what game it was Pal-Parked from. For example: Mewtwo originally captured on Fire Red - Traded to Emerald - Pal Parked to Diamond will say "Kanto" The three options are: Kanto (Fr/LG) Distant Land (Gamecube games) Hoenn (R/S/E) And you can't Pal-Park eggs, and Pal-Park Pokemon cannot have any HM moves. The most notable loss is the Flying Pikachu from the third gen. Pal-Park Pokemon do not change at all when they are traded. As for hex, I believe that's addressed on the main site.
  7. I highly doubt the Korean language is programmed into Platinum.
  8. Eh, it's not like the not-shown episodes are anything special. If I recall, they're either filler or clip shows.
  9. These are 100% hacked and I encourage any traders not to give anything for them. If you really want them, go down to the requests forum: Shiny ALAMOS Darkrai(0738) UT NFT Shiny Movie Shaymin UT NFT
  10. 4kids had a lot of censure ship and dubbing issues and generally treated the series like trash. PUSA runs a much tighter ship, and I honestly believe anyone who thinks Kanto and Johto are the epitome of the anime are just looking at it with rose tinted nostalgic glasses.
  11. I don't know what this has to do with the event. But tiers depend on what community you're on. But Pikachu and Shaymin (land) just don't have the viability to do all that well. It takes more than a bit of luck and a lot of skill to make them succeed. Skymin is a different story.
  12. Pokemon Green is pretty infamous for being filled with tons of glitches. Gen I had tons of gamebreaking glitches, but Green had even more. Half of the game really seems like one big Glitch City.
  13. Hotskittyonwailord, the mod at SPPF who was the judge at last year's tournament, says it is very thorough. He saw numerous people with Pokemon who "look" legal but weren't. Now, if that's just because they did a bad job hacking and didn't have their PIV-ID or something like that done correctly, or it really is all that powerful, who knows? You can read her posts about it throughout this thread: link He obviously never got to talk to the people who made the Nintendo Rom Check so how it exactly works is only based on observation, but she did notice one unique aspect: if an Action Replay had been used on a cart, it would set off a flag and alert the checker.
  14. If you don't explain your sets or strategies, then people can't suggest other Pokemon for your team. Otherwise any recommendation is basically "i say charizard cuz hes teh c00lest!!111!"
  15. Since you don't list move sets, EVs, natures, and IVs, I can only assume that this is for in-game. In which case, anything can beat the E4/Gym/whatever if leveled up enough.
  16. You can't. You'll need a flashcart, or give your Plat cart to someone with a flashcart so they can upload it.
  17. Pokemon Ranch lets you use your Mii characters, so that's KIND Of a customisizable sprite. It'd be great to have it in the main games though. My realistic addition to the games is changing the Gen I-II cries. They sound like crappy old MIDI files.
  18. Pokemon started as and will always be a portable console game. I like it better that way. Nintendo's portable console games tend to actually be a pretty good buy even when they're just released, so I can afford a "new" Pokemon game every 2 years or so. But I couldn't keep up with a new $50 Wii game every other year. A multi-region game would be great. But it'd be made by people who just suck at making games, so it's best to avoid the idea all together.
  19. According to a mod at the Serebii Forums who was a judge last year, most of the people who enter are 18-23.
  20. They are restricted to the area of your cart/language. If you own a US/North American release of the game, you can download the North American release of the Secret Key from any compatible wi-fi spot in the world. A number of people have done this with their Japanese games when they imported them for the Secret Key and Member's Card releases.
  21. The reason a multi-region game (outside of a baren wasteland like Kanto was in Gen II) won't happen is because Gamefreak only makes games for the portable console. There just isn't any room for a quality adventure exploring more than one region. That means if there ever was a huge multi-region game, it'd be on a home console. And the home console games are, at best, mediocre. But they usually just suck.
  22. NOK=Nintendo of Korea. Korea just recently got Diamond and Pearl released (and by recently, I mean in the last year, maybe a bit less, don't remember the exact date). They've had a number of events. But because Korean wasn't a language that was programmed into Diamond/Pearl, it makes Korean carts incompatible with other languages. They can't trade between other languages at all. There also might be limits on the GTS or Wi-Fi battling, but I'm not 100% certain on that. Pokemon Ranch varies depending on the country it's from. In Japanese it's Yukari (obviously with Japanese symbols). In the US, it's Hayley. I think France, Spain, and Germany also have unique names for their ranch owners. EDIT: NRD, thanks for backing me up.
  23. I believe that's what they did for Lucario last year.
  24. Strangely enough, there's nothing in the games calling it god, a god, divine, a deity,etc... There's some fairly vague myth stories surrounding the Sinnoh legendary Pokemon, but they usually don't even name a Pokemon. At best, Arceus and co are just like cats and the Egyptians: Animals that were worshiped because ancient people are stupid, and now people know that they're Pokemon. The anime has referred to Dialga and Palkia as "believed to be deities." The games do not, as far as I know (though I haven't extensively memorized Platinum yet, so I could be wrong). It's the second biggest franchsie Nintendo owns the rights too. How could it be drawing to a close? Gamefreak: Hey Nintendo, we made a "god" Pokemon so we're gonna stop making games. Nintendo: lolz okayz! Does anyone actually think that would happen? There's no "rule" that future Pokemon or future legendary Pokemon have to "top" the previous gen. I'd be surprised if Pokemon stopped making games 20 years from now. It's a fair bet to say it'll be around for most, if not all, of our lifetimes. This is the closest thing I could even accept to something like it. Like Mario, eventually they'll slow down the making of the "core" games and just make a bunch of spinoff and side games. While the games do have some continuity errors, that isn't so with Arceus or Mew. They're from different regions and different regions all have different myths surrounding them. As to Mew, it's only a theory that scientists came up with. It's by no means definite, especially since many Pokemon are man-made (Mewtwo) or digital (Porygon).
  25. People who went to the tournament last year, when that Lucario was distributed, ANYONE could get it even if you weren't competing. And by the looks of it on the site, the Milotic will be distributed at all of the regional dates. So if anyone lives in Pennsylvania, Washington state, Tennesee, Texas, or California, they all have tournament dates in May in their states.
