  1. What is your first actual shiny pokemon that you have ran into or caught WITHOUT THE USE of Pokesav or other cheating device?

    First one was shiny gyarados in silver, but without an event it was a shiny Hariyama in Sapphire's victory road. Then I later got Shiny Zubat as the fifth pokemon I found in my Leafgreen's Mt. Moon (WHAT ARE THE CHANCES?!?!?!?). Then the last I legitamately caught as of now was SoulSilver's Red Gyarados.

  5. Agreed with bob. Isn't that kinda stereotyping? It's not so nice to depict "emo kids" in a game don't you think? Rather you can substitute them for... I don't know... try something else for a Dark type trainer... like "Count" or something... but no emo kids :/

    Yeah that's true... I was looking to find another trio though but that one seemed the best... Think about it though, theres not been a Fighting Legendary ever, and only one Dark type... so maybe then exclude the Psychic and have the two? I don't know, just trying to make it work lol.

  7. I have an idea for Legendary Pokemon... make use of the Dark/Fighting/Psychic Triangle with another secondary type if you so wish...

    I have a name: Team Euphoria (Or Euphoric, whichever better suits the game)

    Definition: a feeling of happiness, confidence, or well-being sometimes exaggerated in pathological states as mania.

    What I'm getting at with this "Euphoria" thing is, the boss wants to do what all evil bosses in Pokemon games do "make the world a better place in their own sense of the word "better"." The boss is completely Oblivious or (Euphoric) to see what he/she is doing is wrong.

    EDIT: Let me elaborate further, think of Cyrus in Pokemon Platinum, he wanted to destroy the world to create an entirely new one. Well, the boss in this game is just like in every other Pokemon game including Platinum, making a better world in their sense of the word "better". (Makes sense?) Okay, but I like the name Euphoria because it shows the error of the teams ideas. Their in a state of complete mania where they don't realize that their plans won't work the way they think. It's sort of like they've lost touch with true reality and are in their own world, or "state of euphoria" if you will.

  10. For starters, I don't think the 2nd stat should affect the water-fire-grass triangle.

    That means water has extremely limited options. Grass is resisted by Fire, Grass, Poison, Flying, Bug, Dragon, and Steel. Grass is also super effective against Ground and Rock. Water-anything aside from those types would work.

    For fire, water is resisted by Water, Grass, and Dragon, and is super effective against Ground and Rock. Lots of options for Fire.

    Finally grass. Fire is resisted by Fire, Water, Rock, and Dragon, whilst is super effective against Grass, Ice, Bug and Steel.

    So long as the starters aren't one of those other types, then we can start talking.

    Well... The last evolve of starters doesn't really always follow that rule (Empoleon), but AT LEAST at the start they should be just 2x on each other.

    Maybe make the water dragons non-starters then? Not the fire ones because if you go on the social group bob posted a grass/steel starter, and if I'm not mistaken, fire is 4x effective against grass/steel. So that means the new water starters have to be something like water/ground or water/rock

    Yeah, dragons shouldn't be starters, and the fire-grass-water triangle should remain intact.:biggrin:

  12. Heres a suggestion. You could bring back the old sprite of Missingno or something and other glitched pokemon and turn them to actual pokemon in the dex. Like maybe missingno or DPBox as pokedex #0 or something
    Missingno WILL be in my game, but only in case of a glitch to prevent the game from crashing. (Like ??? Arceus) He WILL NOT be obtainable any other way.

    This has already been disscussed earlier in this topic, and I will not have missingno normally obtainable.

  14. Actually, with some looking over the pokemon sprites, I would be happy to design movepools for them.

    By the way, bob, incase you hadn't noticed, the fact that this game is called POKEMON Amethyst is breaking the copyright law already, and the copyright law isn't stackable. And then you have to realize that if you really don't want to break copyright, you'll have to create all new attack animations for everything. And maps. And trainer sprites. And arenas. Etc. A project like this almost requires breaking the copyright law.

    Also, I would suggest creating some new moves. Balanced ones but new moves. Perhaps each of the final evolution starter would get a special move (similar to in frlg). ex:

    Inferno - Fire

    95% Accuracy

    10 PP

    100 power

    25% chance to burn.

    Nature's Wrath - Grass

    80% Accuracy

    10 PP

    120 power

    Never misses in Sun, 60% accuracy in Hail

    Torrential Blast - Water

    75% accuracy

    5 PP

    150 power

    No additional effects

    Or some other fun stuff like that. I could have a field day creating new pokemon moves. =p

    And what Social Group? I have no idea what you are talking about, and unless it is a rule that we have to use it, i could care less.

    He is talking about the Pokemon Amethyst Version Group. However, there is no rule about posting there instead of here, so you can post either way. (I check both of them regularly:biggrin:)

    See, the problem with that idea, is that Missingno. is such a pathetic, overused, overstated internet joke that it would make the game even worse.

    Question to the OP, how are you making this game? I don't understand, is it an edit of a 3rd gen game? Editing 4th gen games is virtually impossible, and thats assuming you can model in 3d for the DS to put it into the game...

    If you're making this from scratch, no offense, this project is going to dissolve.

    Just to make this clear, it IS NOT an edit of another game, and it (hopefully) WILL NOT dissolve, Because its first versions WILL NOT be on the DS, but rather, the computer (Which will be a whole lot easier).

    If you're up to it, code him so that depending on what his PID is, he evolves into one of the Kanto starters or less commonly a Mew at level 42.
