  1. If you want legal pokémons leave your AR behind and breed them ;)

Anyway, The IV/EV viewer code: At pokémon status screen press L for IV's, R for EV's and Start for normal

Credits to Faospark and Prof. 9 for creating this code.

A question regarding this code, does it affect the pokemon's data in any way and does depositing in pc/pressing start revert them to how they were before?

If it does, is there an IV/EV check code that changes the quantity of items in the items bag or some other values as long as they do not modify the pokemon's stats?

    Thanks. :)

  2. No, I can list the pokemon, but it changes everday. I just take a bunch of pokemon in my storage and put them in. I can't get on the internet everyday, so it wouldn't be correct.

Can you tell us where you got all your pokemon from? Just because someone has checked and they turn up legal does not mean it will be on closer inspection.

Also, it is impossible for a pokemon to not have any abilities, event or not.

  3. these all belong to kudan! (extracted correctly via pokegen)

    thank you kudan!!

Thanks for helping with the extracting. I think you left out Zubat though. :)

Edit: Seems like I mistook the zubat for the komori that was traded so I didn't trade it over at all. Sorry for the mix up.

A little more info about the pokemon:

Seaking, Mantine and Gligar were caught fresh from the High Link Forest by me with luxury balls.

Sentret was traded to me from a reliable person on smogon (I have her on my DW friends list to confirm) and is in a dream ball.

Staravia was evolved from an offspring of my DW staravia. I think Bond used EV reducing berries on it.

All others are female lvl 1 with DW abilities bred from DW pokemon.

  4. Ah, that's good to know. I'm using a retail cart so I'll need to trade them to Bond (he agreed to help out too) and maybe have a copy back. Now we just need to find a time to get trading. For females that I got myself, I soft reset every single one for a good nature so some of their offsprings have good natures too.

There's something to note for Staravia though. Starlys that are bred out do not have a DW ability, so I had to evolve them to check if they do turn into Reckless so they have a few stray EVs. I think it doesn't really matter though, especially if they are only used to breed DW ability offsprings.

  5. I've unlocked shining ocean and I'll like to contribute to the thread but I have a question.

Are you only interested in pokemon caught in the HL forest (clean without any changes too)?

Reason being I bred some DW pokemon from females with DW ability, which means all my pokemon with DW abilities are either caught in HL but with weird levels due to being in the daycare, or offsprings with DW ability.

  6. Wow, that one post was more than what I bargained for! Thank you so much for all the resources provided, I'll be spending quite some time looking through all of them.

I will pop into IRC if I do have any questions (or when I'm bored because I lurk and afk on another irc channel too). Hope I'm able to see you and Bond on there, as living in GMT+8 means I'm asleep when the other half of the world's awake.

  7. This is my first post on here and I do hope I did post it in the correct board and that it doesn't break any rules. Apologizing in advance in case I actually did something wrong without knowing I did.

I've RNG abused on retail carts and R4s before, mostly for legends and shiny/nature of eggs. I haven't done a full blown egg IV RNG yet because NPCs in DPPT hate me (1 frame off when I calibrate for an odd frame, ALSO 1 frame off when I calibrate on an even frame) and I have yet to read up on how to properly abuse egg IVs on HGSS.

So, recently I decided to give RNG a try again, but this time using emulators, because there are plenty of reasons to use them over retail and R4. However, before I start on doing so, I have a couple of questions.

    1. For those who have already done RNG using emulators, what emulator is the best for the job (I'm guessing DeSmuME, but I'm kinda unsure on which version to get)?
    2. Are there any changes in the steps taken for RNG abuse that to look out for? E.g. One slight difference that I know so far is that I have to change the computer's time and date as DeSmuME uses that for the time.
    3. What are some of the things I can do on emulators that retail and R4 carts can't do (or are much harder to do)? To put it simply, what are the differences between emulators vs. retail and R4 carts that can make RNG abuse easier? So far, the ones I can think of are
      - save states make it easier to hit the correct delays once time is set
      - the option to catch the same pokemon in a different pokeball multiple times without having to hit the same seed plenty of times
Are there any other obvious advantages that I missed out?
    4. Do AR codes work on DeSmuME? Where can I find DPPT and HGSS codes that work on DeSmuME?
    5. I've seen people (KazoWAR in his "How to RNG Legends HGSS" videos to be exact) checking data using the memory viewer. It looks like pretty advanced stuff, but is there any guides or tips on how to make sense (and use) of it?
    6. Lastly, any tips and tricks in general on how to RNG abuse on emulators?

I really appreciate any help given, even talking about your experiences with RNG abuse on emulators would be an eye opener for me. And for all the help given, I wouldn't mind giving back to the community (like posting RNGed pokemon on Bond's "Competitive Pokemon GTS Distribution" thread) if I ever make any good progress with RNG abuse on emulators. And thanks for taking the time to read this!
