Bored, going to start placing all the text from the file into the game starting at the beginning.
Others, I recommend picking a place in the story and simple working from there.

While browsing BulbaGarden, I found a thread that supposedly has the full script for in game dialog for black / white translated.

Also, don't space anything that starts with a backslash, as this is dialog scripts:

These must remain as is or the game will break.

No$ gba fix by a nice japanese dude..lets u save,
but its still abandoned like ruinairas mentioned,so it doesn't let u use savestates
I've merged your updates as I came across them, problem was for 0016 was extremely far behind and you were fixing already fixed items.
Also NO$GBA sucks badly, use DeSmuME 0.9.6.

I have created a fork, and started doing a mass translation (the user name is kdb424) I hope the changes are found and I have committed the changes correctly. Please lot me know if this has or has not been committed properly so I may continue. Either send me a PM here or an email at kdb424@gmail.com either way please. I am hoping to get this is as much English as possible for V4.
If your working on the 0001 folder, your editing the wrong one.
The correct folder is 0000.

Just so you know, it's technically v6 as there were 3 betas and 3 releases. (3+3=6)
Also, PEOPLE PLEASE UPDATE YOUR FORKS TO THE NEWEST VERSION, people are translating/fixing text that has already been fixed due to using a older version of the Git.

I'm seriously loving the fan translation a lot since there are funny things said like the girl in Karakusa town that hints to the Charizard card thing:"Pokémon are really cool! Anyone who thinks it's not are lame. I got a Charizard card would you like to trade? What? You don't collect cards...?" (unless she said that in Japanese) and the guy that says "Sorry I don't speak English, I speak mostly in Kanji!" lmfao
And lol at the dude who said he wanted a Game Boy for 15 years and all he got was a PS3, very epic guys, keep it up. I think the fan translation is going to be better than the official one by the looks of things. *nod nod*

Are Ruinaras (think that's his name) patches also in V3.
And in V3 up to what point (approximately) is the story meant to be all english (when you make a new game)
The last 2 days of ruin's work isn't in this patch, as the changes were never sent to me.
Once I get the changes, they will be added.

Alright guys I'm translating the battle text for the Elite Four. I've already beaten them so the only stuff I saw is from the rematches. Does anyone have videos or something from the 1st time you go through them?

We're fixing this on the next patch.It's a null pointer problem, the text miss-aligns the text pointer and causes it to read garbage from the ROM into the text field instead of the correct attack name.
Also, it's been fixed sense last week and will be in v3.

Me and the other devs were thinking "Mystery Sword" and "Thunder Strike". And they both fit.

Ok, we need some user input. 2 other moves are too long to display while in battle.
These are "Sword of Mystery" and "Lightning Strike", we need suitable names that are a bit shorter the 15 characters.

come guys theres no harm in asking when the next version will be out i'm sure these guys don't mind, besides its up to then wether or not to tell them.
just b/c we ask doesn't mean its going to slow the project down one bit.

so how much percentage of the whole game is in english relative to v3 patch?
Basing my info on Ruin's posts, around 30-45%. Hard to tell as I've yet to beat the first gym.

Can someone please explain the difference between the regular and the "Exp Patched" versions of the patch? Because I tried the regular patch first and I noticed that my pokemon weren't gaining any exp. (I'm hoping that this wasn't intentional; that makes absolutely no sense to do that.)
But then I noticed while playing the "Exp Patched" one, which is the only one my pokemon gain exp on, they gain exp at different rates. Like, if I battle the same level pokemon with different pokemon, they each gain different amounts of exp from the battles; or if I switch pokemon during a battle, the exp is NOT divided evenly between the two pokemon that fought; one gains more or less than the other, which shouldn't happen.
What's going on here? This shouldn't be happening.
Earning no EXP from battle is Nintendos AP method. With the EXP Patched, your able to gain EXP like normal. Rates are designed like that, and depend on the pokemon.

Just so you know, all bugs being reported have already been fix/working on. Please stop reporting bugs until the release of v3 and the problems continue there.

Luckly new lines are based on the dialog box, only have to replace each section and add in the \xfffe and save.
