  1. This guide is outdated. Use this one instead. ------------------------------------------------------------- Often times, people wish to edit their Pokemon save file with PKHeX, but can't because they either don't know how, or don't have the hardware. This guide is intended to show the easiest ways of backing up (and restoring) save files either with what you have, or to show you what you need to buy. Do you have a 3DS with CFW? (See this guide for details). Yes: No: I have insufficient hardware. So what now? Oh, by the way, if you have Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver, and need a special backup tool for that (like if you have the NDS Backup Adapter, not the plus version), you can try this if you are confident enough: http://gbatemp.net/topic/215641-pokemon-soul-silver-sav-tofrom-cartridge-success/
  2. Does the game say a Pokemon is on the Pokewalker, and the Pokewalker says there isn't? You can try resetting the Pokewalker by, on the main Pokewalker, pressing Down, X and L.
  3. Everyone should think that it was originally nicknamed that unless it is an event. (Probably should have gone in the pkm legality forum)
  4. Those Pokemon underestimate us by declaring war. We are already the dominant life form, and we will stay that way.
  5. Tanks. Machine guns. Sniper Rifles. Ghosts. Revenants. Wraiths (not our Super Moderator; think Halo). Etc. [Edit] Oh, and don't forget tranquilizer darts.
  6. Hit... The next person to post will have the letter "K" in their username.
  7. I'm not sure what to say. Every thing I've tried just says that the save file is blank. I would recommend using Action Replay codes, but RAM research hasn't completed yet. I'll keep looking at the save file, but hopefully someone else will be able to help.
  8. Sending the ROM is illegal, but perhaps I've over-analyzed the problem. In the same folder the emulator is in, there should be something like Pokemon Black.dsv. Try opening THAT in Pokegen without conversion. Perhaps something is wrong with the conversion process.
  9. Welcome to these forums, XJ55!
  10. Hmmmm... I tried opening the file in Pokegen and Pokesav, and it acted as if the file was blank. I imported it into DeSmuMe on my computer, and even loaded it onto my retail cart, and nothing worked. Is it loading correctly for you in DeSmuMe, without an attempts at editing? What region game are you using?
  11. It doesn't look like it actually loaded anything. Can you upload the *.sav?
  12. I don't get what you just said. So: 1. Load ROM in emulator 2. File -> Export Backup Memory 3. Open the file you saved in your save file editor (Pokesav, Pokegen, etc) 4. Save the file with the save editor 5. File -> Import Backup Memory 6. In the game, load your save file 7. Violà
  13. The state is different from a save file. A *.dsv file is the actual save file, and the *.dst file is a state. To export Raw save files, you will want to use the File > Export Backup Memory option. Alternatively, you can use my comverter. [Edit]Also, please avoid double posting. You can use the edit button to add on to your previous post next time.
  14. if http://saves.uniquegeeks.net/ doesn't help you, then please upload your save file.
  15. Q: I'm getting a .Net socket exception when trying to start the GTS server!!! A: Make sure no other program is using port 80 or port 53. Developers: That means no IIS.
  16. Oh, yeah. There's a homebrew app for the DS lite that can backup 3DS saves (if you cut that extra plastic off), I thought you meant that.
  17. It depends on your security and the cunning of the hacker.
  18. Shing GTS/DTS is a program. It creates a GTS server on your computer.
  19. Don't forget about the NDS Backup Adapter Plus, which can also backup 3DS games.
  20. I ban AEROJAY for being susceptible to being stalked.
