  1. The word "never" is a strong one I tend not to use unless it's an absolute. This isn't an absolute as I have a contrary opinion, yet I do understand the point being made. The times we had during the Shoddy era were great amid all the rest that was going on during that time-frame. I log in simply for the same, to check on those I've known during that time, also to check on the board's current state. This written, I am interested in learning how to program and code, but I wouldn't help out here. That is a bit too labour intensive for the amount of time I have to spend.

  2. I went here for a moment simply to glance at some of my posts from my youth, this being one of the few places I remember having active participation in. Having looked back at my manner of writing when I was a teenager, I am particularly disappointed in how I conducted myself. Not even in the least that most of what I've typed seemed better fit for a grade school student than what my age purported then. I would however like to thank those that were amicable toward me during that time, such as Wraith and some of the members that no longer log in, Flootenkerp and even Goldgross, you've all helped me cope with what I was going through during that time indirectly with your kindness toward me. Of these, I only have contact with Wraith now which I am grateful for.

The competitive board is currently a distant memory now, and I don't have much experience, only interest in coding, and thus of little use to research here. Nonetheless, for all my misgivings here on the board, what I do miss are the times that were had on Shoddy Battle when that was the simulator most players were on. Those were some great times as I felt for one of the few times of my life the feeling of being good at something. Even today I miss that feeling, long for it even. Though in hindsight, much of my victories were through the wonky critical hit calculation that shoddy had. Mostly through some absurd strokes of chance did I win as much as I had, and toward the end of the server's run, I had lost so frequently that I had given it up altogether. Fleeting as though it was, it was a fun time.

I also write much better than I did when I wrote that horrid, putrid waste of a Championship Manager 01/02 manager story. That was what gave me the most grief when I saw it again. On that note, this board has had some considerable turnover as expected of time to change things. I hardly know any of the newcomers. I don't even know what happened to those that had made my avatar and signature, Inu and Toffeuy. Anyway, I'd like to once again thank the board for having me back then, it was fun while it lasted.

  3. I usually hold firmly on to whatever is bred unless I want to clear my boxes. It's good to keep some spares in case people on forums/comment boxes etc, ask for what you know you have to trade. At least that's the thought process now. I'd still put a few good ones through the Wonder Trade to improve the quality of it a minute amount.

  4. In the guise of wanting to revive an area which was once quite enjoyable to be around. I've thought of ways to spark discussion. One of these was just to have a place for people to post replays if uncapable or unwilling to write an extensive warstory.

Pokemon Showdown has a replay system and a very good one which is just missing in my opinion the ability to upload saved matches from Pokemon Online. With this comes easy access to post remembable battles for a while to come. Whilst I mean no endangerment to our warstories, it's been quite barren there for a while.

Without further ado, I'll start off if allowed me to. You don't need to place them in spoilers but it's cleaner if you have various battles to share at once.

A view into a team I may write an RMT for. Four battles in C.

  5. Most of the Pokemon I have recieved have been quite dreadful however I've recieved decent pokemon such as Adament Scyther and a Jolly Kangaskhan. Overall, I've actually resorted to the GTS if I ever wanted a specific pokemon or I network with other people.

The wonder trade, whilst novel is only a means. I am however waiting to see what can be acquired when the Pokebank actualizes. That may be a very interesting prospect.

  6. Whilst I am not opposed to the idea, I recall that we tried creating a tiering system based just on base stats and found it a very high task. That was merely a concept around the time I was much more active here. The issue isn't as simple as you're believing but the base idea is sound. This needs some testing and I'll actually challenge you in the guise of hopeful wonder to build a team under that concept and I'll try too to see firsthand how you're expecting this to work.

I know that is a strange request but as I was willing to see how that would work years prior, perhaps now there are people willing to try different concepts. I just want to test this theory before accepting your pitch.

  7. I have a Chespin with Bulletproof and a Timid Zorua, I also have a Sligoo with Pokerus but that's all that Sligoo is worth. If this isn't good enough I can give you a Jolly Scyther with Technician.

I am seeking a Relaxed Forretress/Pineco, Bold Togepi or a Jolly Gible.

EDIT: The Jolly Scyther had been traded for a Forretress, I have an Adament Scyther with the same ability left. Only seeking the Gible now or an Modest/Timid Magneton. The Chespin and the Zorua are still available. The Sligoo wasn't in my box anymore so retract that.
