And can Sawsbuck roar? Can Stantler? If so stantler can use a rest/roar set with some sort Twave... kinda like a low tier Gyarados where Conk isn't prevalent... Wishful Thinking?

The sceptile is assuming you'll be fighting stuff at full health. After Rocks and a bit of play time, you'll be facing stuff around the 70/80% mark at best. Then when they bring in their Quagsire / Jellicent get the set up started and commence the sweep. Run it with Magnezone for maximum profit, I guess.

But then I can just hit you straight back with, if everyone is running a slowbro to counter Blaziken it then becomes a matter of over-centralisation <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/tongue.png" alt=":P" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/tongue@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />.

Personally though, I am glad Blaziken got the boot. Not because I had to go to weird measures to beat it, because God knows I love using obscure stuff as much as the next guy, but because it is too too good. Quagsire and Slowbro and possibly Chandy being the only counters sucks. I never had a problem dealing with it myself, but you have to admit it deserved the boot. Much more than say Salamence last gen?

I'd call it a very strong check, the best check, in fact. But this is assuming Blaziken SDs when Slowbro switches in. Blaziken could just as likely be a CB set and hit it with a shadow claw as it switches in or something like that. At the same time, I've not seen many Slowbro that are running Psychic <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/mellow.png" alt=":|" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/mellow@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />. Ice Beam / Scald / Flamethrower / Slack Off seems to be the set, but I guess psychic is just as likely to be on Slowbro as Shadow Claw is to be on Blaziken.

I'm really not sure. I guess it can counter the SD version, but it's a blaziken check IMO, not a counter. Then again, the SD set can run hidden power Electric, to nail it for a 2HKO as it switches in. And if Blaziken is in the sun, scald isn't 2HKOing SD blaziken.

Heh, Tough cookie, because by assuming its switching in on SD, Aquajet Azumarill then turns into a counter, as does CB Conkeldurr and well... most things.

I've pretty much just told them how if they change one pokemon so they are no longer weak to half the metagame. I don't wanna be a fun ruiner, I used to precurse all of my threads with "Don't even thing about recommending Salamence!" Kinda just telling them that they need certain types on their team to stop them being mauled by a/b/c/d/.../x/y/z.
