  1. Tbird, so basically change endure for sucker punch ???

um, scizor with technician makes bug bite have a base power of 90, while x-scissor has 80.

starmies priorities arent the screens, but rapid spin. its extremely important that i rapid spin.... if not my ninjask while have its health depleted by half when it enters the battle thanks to stealth rock

btw mewtwo, its named red lightning because of one scizor i once saw in the anime lol. and please, i'd be flattered if you tried my team.

how about the ev distribution for scizor and rotom ??? you like it people ???

  2. Intro:

Well, this is the best team I've made so far. This team revolves around Scizor, the Red Lightning. Basically because I've realized he can beat almost anybody with a couple of sword's dance + bullet punch.

    Objective:

Baton pass speed+attack to scizor, then sweep with him.

    The team:

    251.png

    Celebi @ Leftovers

    Nature: Timid

    Ability: Natural Care

    4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 Sp. Atk

    -Stealth Rock

    -Leaf Storm

    -U-turn

    -Psychic

Celebi is there only to Stealth Rock. The rest of the attacks are to protect itself and to counter common leads like Azelf or Swampert, even an Aerodactyl.

    291.png

    Ninjask @ Focus Sash

    Nature: Jolly

    Ability: Speed Boost

    248 HP / 156 Atk / 104 Spd

    -Swords Dance

    -Toxic

    -X-Scissor

    -Baton Pass

Ninjask is ESSENTIAL in this team. With Focus Sash I can be sure 95% of the time that I will be able to Baton Pass 1 Swords Dance + 1 Speed Boost to Scizor (I'll explain Scizor in a bit.) It doesn't have the Speed EV's maxed out because with those it is faster than the second non-uber fastest pokémon: Electrode (and normally no one uses it.) Toxic if I'm having problems with someone, and X-Scissor to defend itself.

    212.png

    Red Lightning @ Metal Coat

    Nature: Adamant

    Ability: Technician

    252 Atk / 128 Def / 128 Sp. Def

    -Bullet Punch

    -Bug Bite

    -Swords Dance

    -Roost

The Red Lightning. Basically two Swords Dance's Baton Passed by Ninjask make this Scizor almost invencible. Believe me when I say that one Bullet Punch can OHKO almost anything, and since it attacks first.... Bug Bite is there to give more type coverage, and since Ninjask has Speed Boost, it also Baton Passes the two or three Speed increases. In case Ninjask is killed before fullfilling its goal, Scizor also has Swords Dance to increase its attack by itself, and Roost in case its health runs down. Maybe the Defence stats seem weird but I need to protect him from either a Flare Blitz or Flamethrower...it drives me paranoiac.

    121.png

    Starmie @ Focus Sash

    Nature: Modest

    Ability: Natural Care

    4 Def / 252 Sp. Atk / 252 Spd

    -Rapid Spin

    -Surf

    -Light Screen

    -Reflect

I know its weird to give so many jobs to one single pokémon...but i really didn't have a choice. Focus Sash is to be sure that at least the Rapid Spin will work. Reflect and Light Screen to support the rest of the party, it could be for protecting Ninjask and give it more time to use another Swords Dance or to protect either Rotom or Scizor from their respective weaknesses.

    51.png

    Dugtrio @ Focus Sash

    Nature: Adamant

    Ability: Arena Trap

    4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd

    -Aerial Ace

    -Earthquake

    -Endure

    -Reversal

Another one with Focus Sash, but I definitely need it for my worst nightmare made real: Infernape. That blazing monkey is the best counter for basically the whole team, so with Arena Trap he can`t get away from an OHKO Earthquake. Aerial Ace for extra covering and Endure + Reversal...well, you know that strategy. And since Dugtrio is pretty fast he can perform that well.

    479O.png

*Sorry for using this sprite as an image, i didn`t find a pic of Oven Rotom like the ones above.

    Rotom @ Leftovers

    Nature: Modest

    Ability: Levitate

    HP 252 / 128 Spd / 128 Sp. Atk

    -Shadow Ball

    -Overheat

    -Thunderbolt

    -Sucker Punch

First of all, I know it is extremely weird to give Rotom Sucker Punch, but it is there to protect it against a possible Gengar, which is not only faster than Rotom, but that can possibly OHKO it with Shadow Ball. Overheat is risky since it lowers Sp. Atk, so I use it only in two cases: Scizor & Bronzong. Aside from them, I don't really have a reason to use it...actually it will only make it weaker.

The only couple of things I'm not sure are the EV's for Scizor and Rotom and Ninjask's Toxic...I putted it there for "precaution", but I think there must be something much more better.

  3. if this goes somewhere else please move it. dont really knew where this went

i've got one question. if i use 2 swords dance with ninjask then baton pass....will it transfer the 4 stats increase (2 for swords dance + 2 speed boost) ???

  4. Metagross w/Leftovers. Ability: Clear Body. Nature: Adamant. 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 Def

    -Meteor Mash

    -Eartquake

    -Stealth Rock

    -Bullet punch

I agree with the Bullet Punch since it's STAB (didn't take it into account before because i just saw 40 base power). but not with explosion because if i HAVE to fight against a gengar i would be in an extreme disadvantage since i could just have bullet punch to defend myself. (correct me if i'm wrong please)

    Scizor w/Iron Plate. Ability: Technician. Nature: Adamant. EV's: 252 Atk / 128 Def / 128 Sp. Def

    -Bug Bite

    -Swords Dance

    -Bullet Punch

    -Roost

I feel that scizor kind of becomes redundant on this team given that you alrady have the coverage that scizor provides in form of absol and metagross. And as you have an Arcanine on the team I feel you're going to want a spinner, and I think that the spinner could take this guys place. Id recommend Hitmontop here (and I'll justify further a bit later as to why.)

    This set should work well:

    Hitmontop (M) @ Black Belt/Expert Belt/Leftovers

    Ability: Intimidate

    EVs: 252 Atk/100 Def/152 SDef

    Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)

    - Close Combat

    - Sucker Punch

    - Stone Edge/Toxic

    - Rapid Spin

Hitmontop is a hard hitting spinner that is genger and rotom bait for sure. And that is why it is best to throw on sucker punch. Genger/Rotom will come in to block your spin attempt and probably try to attack you, hit 'em with sucker punch and you'll be fine. Close combat is a good string stab attack that's going to help break things like blissey. Rapid spin for obvious reasons. Stone edge is there if you decide to not give absol stone edge, and then you're covering birds/fires too. If you run stone edge on absol then Toxic is cool here to just help with passive damage ensuring you some more 1/2Hko's

i dont want to hear you !!!! :frown: because you are SO right about this....but i really really really wanted a scizor in my team....

    Absol w/Razor Claw. Ability: Super Luck. Nature: Jolly. EV's: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP

    -Psycho Cut

    -Swords Dance

    -Stone Edge / Shadow Claw

    -Night Slash / Sucker punch

I agree with swords dance instead of detect but i'm not really sure with sucker punch. because that was the main point of this absol, to count on a 50% chance Critical Hit STAB night slash. but in the other hand that sucker punch would really help if he's being out sped. mmm, still....against the infernape i might take out feraligatr and ohko it with waterfall.

    Arcanine w/Leftovers. Ability: Intimidate. Nature: Adamant. EV's: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP

    -Flare Blitz

    -Extremespeed

    -Howl

    -Morning Sun

Glad you took my advice, though I really do feel you should pump the HP Ev's

that's kind of a problem, because i think arcanine needs the speed EV's, maybe if i handed them equally between spd and hp

Electivire w/Expert Belt. Ability: Motor Drive. Nature: Adamant. 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 Sp. Def

    -Thunderpunch

    -Earthquake

    -Cross Chop

    -Ice Punch

Again Electivire is another pokemon that is made redundant because his coverage is provided by hitmontop, metagross and absol. So I recommend a spin blocker so that you can get those necessary 1hkos from both arcanine and absol.

    Gengar (M) @ Life Orb

    Ability: Levitate

    EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk

    Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)

    - Hypnosis

    - Focus Blast

    - Shadow Ball

    - Thunderbolt

Hypnosis is necessary to shut down pokemon that will threaten to sweep your team, or kill your sweepers. If you put something to sleep, switch in either absol or arcanine and get the desired boosts (1SD with Absol/ 3/4 Howls with Arcanine) and rip open. You still have the coverage that electivire had except from a different spectrum and harder attack with more use.

i'm thinking about taking out electivire and let in scizor (don't really know why) and switch it for hitmontop OR gengar. dont really know who though

If i'm missing anything please tell me so i can add it....PLEASE DONT CLOSE.

    i like cereal

  5. i LOVE digimon !!!! (as you can see from my avatar lol) i loved the 1st and 2nd seasons....the third one was rubbish (yugioh anyone ???). the fourth one was good and it tried to recover elements from the 1st season (they transformed into the spririts of agumon etc etc).

btw soldjermon....there are only 5 seasons lol

  6. strategy for the whole team or one by one ???

if its team-wise then....i think its basically to heavy attack (not special attack) by covering every kind of pokemon. metagross's stealth rock at the beginning to inflict some damage to anyone and from there increase the attack of the others to be sure it will be a 2hko max. Absol is key in this because its STAB night slash has a 50% chance of landing a critical hit, making it kind of a devastating attack. the only problem for absol is against a steel pokemon. arcanine howls till its attack is high enough to OHKO with a STAB flare blitz, while recovering HP with morning sun. the rest are there basically to support and cover every type...except a possible swampert (cough cough absol's night slash cough cough)

  7. i just dont understand why do you enjoy closing my threads random. you could just have told me to edit it to make it understandable.....not closing it and making me make another one >_>

    anyways, here it is AGAIN.

  10. Since then, the more Pokemon were created, the less Real world animals were shown. A real Mongoose appeared in an old episode as well, but Zangoose became its equivalent. You can also suggest that Pokemon hunt other Pokemon. Since Mongoose is a Cobra rival and predator, The same relationship could be reflected between Zangoose and snake Pokemon like Arbok.

    Actually Zangoose's "archenemy" is Seviper

  11. the first was red gyarados in my gold version....meganium, poisonpowder.....bad combination against a pokemon you see only once, and i didnt save before and was platying all day.

the second one was inside a cave at the beginning of my ruby version....a shiny aron. i thought it was latios transformed into an aron (because i didnt know shiny pokemon existed), so i ran away....afraid it would kill my whole team

the third one was a buizel i believe....but since it was in my platinum rom and i could use ar to catch any shiny pokemon i decided to let it live

  12. i remember an episode in gen 1 where pokemons spoke.....WORST EPISODE EVAR !!!! that and one of a ralts and may's brother in gen 3....

anyways, dragonite was so majestic in gen 1 that in pokemon snap he came out of a whirlpool.....and when lance flew on top of his dragonite it was jaw-dropping
