Is it possible to make a female of a male-only pokemon with pokesav or will it mess up the game? RP-wise, a friend of mine, for -some- reason, wants to play a female Gallade.
-
Thanks n.n Those actually... took almost as long to think up as the move choices themselves! Though I think discussion of such things should be in the Rate My Team forum, maybe, though certain people there would get pissed, or perhaps... I dunno. There needs to be a thread for this sort of team creation. It leads to fun stuff n.n
-
Hehehe... Well, if you make a full team, I would be absolutely delighted to get the chance to battle you sometime. n.n I will of course make a normal battle team as well, but for now I'm going to have some fun with my RP group.
-
Thank you n.n I will try this tomorrow, once I get my hands on an action replay, but if anyone on here is available before then, I wouldn't mind getting them sent to me sooner. Not really -needed-, though.
-
*smiles* Then I do believe I'll have to thank you yet again for this.
-
Yus, for those pokemon, in spots 2 - 6 in the party, as the Gardevoir is already in spot 1. I think it might be faster if I simply got the code now instead of waiting to get them sent to me over wifi as I likely won't get them today either way and I will have an AR tomorrow n.n
-
Oh, yes, and for my requests I'm fine with getting just the code so I can ask someone with a AR and wifi to trade it for me. Though... I am getting an AR tommorow, so... it might be faster just to ask for the code on my previous request... n.n;
-
Well, then, I like you already. I'm a huge fan of Phantom, and played Christine in a high school production of it, though in my opinion most people in high school should not be attempting said musical, as it sounds relatively silly to have people that young and untrained trying some of that.
But anyway, it is nice to meet you, and I hope to have a chance to battle you over wi-fi sometime. Just for fun. Well, when I put together a team.
-
No, I'm not wondering at all.
Entirely unrelated, but, I'm assuming your custom title is referencing Phantom?
-
*laughs* Well, it is nice to meet you. And it is generally a good idea to check who's cookies you're stealing before you steal them, so you know who to run from

An interesting community, to say the least. I seem to have neglected to post anything in the introductions section, so I'll rectify this. Hm, a little bit about myself...
My name's Alicia, though everyone calls me Aurin. I've been playing Pokemon since it came out, and have been battling competitively for a long while, but, until recently, I did not have a DS. So I'm new with the current generation, and still building my team. I tend to like RP quite a bit, and interesting concepts moreso than the generally accepted builds for pokemon teams. My current team isn't legitimate, and is will be somewhat modified, but it is based off of RP concepts designed by myself and a few of my friends. I'll make a few competitive teams when I've played the current generation a little longer.
My hobbies tend to relate to gaming and reading, but I've an avid background in music, and enjoy it quite a bit. I roleplay and play tabletop games quite a bit, but now that I've gotten time for, and the equipment for, the current generation of pokemon games, I should be around here [and hopefully battling over wifi] quite a bit.
It's a pleasure to meet you all,
Aurin

I know the pokemon normally wouldn't be able to do the concepts, but these were all based off of character designs by myself and a few friends of mine. It is more of a for-fun RP team than anything. I just found a way to mix our concepts into something reasonably passable for a good fight. After getting the team ready, I'd be fine with challenging anyone if they have any for-fun ideas, too. It's definitely not a competative battling team, but it could be fun n.n
Anyways, if anyone has any suggestions about the team that would still fit the character concept [minor tweaks to stats, maybe a move or two changed, or a different item or ability choice] I'd appreciate that - hopefully before they get made. And yes I know this isn't a Rate My Team thread, sorry n.n;
-
Not really the place for it, but just as a description of my ideas for the usefulness of the team, besides the RP qualities, is this strategy. [not set in stone, just general order of things]
Forretress, set to spike and rock the place up, then explode [in case you didn't get the reference, Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A's Lævatein: "EXPLOSION ~"]
Lopunny, set to fake out then U-turn to the Ninetails, which is there mostly to exploit the traps through Roar, pick an opponent it likes and trap them with magma storm, then use Me First [modified by Tinted Lens] to turn all their moves against them. Any opponents who are likely to switch out because of bad type matchup, use pursuit.
Then the Lopunny again for another fakeout to U-turn to the Gardevoir, which sleep-locks them with Dark Void and Nightmare [i think she would have been better with Dark Void, Nightmare, Dream Eater, and Psychic to be honest, but the person who's character it is wanted this specific combination].
After this the Lopunny pops out again for a fakeout and U-turn to the Froslass, which uses hail first to up its evasion and cause a little constant damage, with double-team to delay through crazy evasion, and blizzard to exploit the 100% hit rate in Hail. Healing Wish is for use when she's almost dead to heal another pokemon on the team.
Between pokemon, Lopunny again pops out for fakeout then U-turn to the Mismagius, who is generally annoying with the confuse ray followed by doom desire, and, oddly, then sweeping with the crazy nuking with Shadow Ball, getting the 50% from stab and free 30% from the orb, while immune to the hopefully still-going hail. Doom desire takes out whatever it hits after they're weakened by the traps, hopefully, and ignores type matchups. When she's about to fall, go for another doom desire, then destiny bond to take the opponent with her and leave a surprise for the next one
Next is the Lopunny again, leading with a fake-out, then going into falcon-punching mode with the sky uppercut and using recover to keep at good health.
Not an ideal team by any means, but the best I could come up with with these RP characters, and, well, I kinda like it. Don't think I should post this on Rate My Team, though, as it is kind of a for-fun team, and not legitimate in any way.

I've finally figured out what I would like the rest of my RP party to be. If anyone can help, I've got them all designed now, and I would like the codes done for me, and, if possible, the pokemon traded to me over wifi.

My friend code for wifi trade
Friend Code: 0130 8643 9272
Thank you n.n
-
Thank you so much~ *hugs* n.n She's perfect!
-
Same time here, too! Probably why I'm oddly hyper... I'm much more active at night but must more... silly? Anyways, going online now n.n
-
I would prefer it met at level 1 or hatched at that location... But, well, any level is fine. It isn't really like it is too close to legitimate anyway, with moves it can't normally learn and an alternate ability. It is mostly for my RP team to battle with friends, which is why I didn't want the stats overpowered... n.n;
I'd want it fixed, but if it would take too much effort to fix it it really isn't worth wasting too much effort x3 Um... I'm rambling again... n.n; Sorry
-
That would be quite helpful, yes. I'm sorry, again, if I'm a little odd to deal with at the moment. I believe I pasted the requested pokemon stuff earlier, though I'll need the code before I can do anything with it... I could probably work on the code myself at the moment if I didn't have the attention span of a gnat right now... Were was I going with this again?
@.@
I'm so confused x3
Anyways, yes, Gardevoir. Need it. For anyone willing to make the code, the request is further up. For anyone who can trade it to me, once I have the code, that would be very helpful. For now I am going to get a glass of milk and try to calm down before I lose all coherency @.@
-
That's what I meant. n.n; I meant, like HassanX, that I would like the code now, so I can toss it to someone with wifi later so they have less to do to get the pokemon to me. I won't have an AR for a little while yet, myself, so I'd like to get at least the first of my team over wifi. But waiting for a wifi worker seems like a bad idea, so I might as well get the code first, someone to transfer it for me second, yes?
I'm sorry if my train of thought might seem a little confusing. I get somewhat hyper at times and lose a little coherency.
-
I think HassanX had the right idea. If I got the code, I could probably just request someone to get me the pokemon over wifi a little more easily later n.n
-
I realize all this, hence why I had the additional comment in brackets n.n; Sorry, that wasn't part of the request, just kinda whining about how I can only get -close- to what the RP character would be like n.n
-
Just working on a team of pokemon for RP, and have decided on the leader of the team for now. As I don't have action replay yet, though I will soon, I'll request the first one over Wifi.
First request, Lumina, the Dark Gardevoir [would be quite a bit more interesting if I could get the type changed to Dark/Psychic, but oh well. Even better if I could get a purple gardevoir, but one can only get so close to a RP character]
*pokemon*: Gardevoir

RP Teams
in Pokémon Requests
Posted · Edited by LadyAurin
Not really a request for a pokemon at the moment so much as it is a request for people to make ideas for interesting RP-related pokemon characters, and to form parties of them. Other sorts of thematic parties are alright. I would be quite interested in seeing what people can come up with, and create. Eventually, I hope to get the chance to battle a little with these concepts, as well.
Examples:
My team:
Lævatein, the Forretress.
Ability: Solid Rock
Item: Leftovers
Moveset: Stealth Rock, Poison Spikes, Spikes, Explosion.
Concept: A particularly crazy forretress who has exploded a few too many times. Imagine the voice from Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A's' Lævatein going "EXPLOSION ~"
Strategy: The spiker. Sets up the rocks and the spikes, then explodes. Designed to be really difficult to kill quickly.
Valentine, the pink Lopunny.
Ability: Cute Charm
Item: Scope Lens
Moveset: Sky Uppercut, Fake Out, U-turn, Recover.
Concept: The more playful and yet frighteningly strong bunnygirl of the group.
Strategy: Comes out second, and uses fake out. U-turn to the next pokemon. Send in to scout between every other pokemon in the party. When left as the last pokemon, go nuts with sky uppercut and heal with recover.
Crevan, the dark Ninetails
Ability: Tinted Lens
Item: Grip Claw
Moveset: Magma Storm, Pursuit, Me First, Roar
Concept: The only male in the group besides the insane forretress. A rather dignified and serene combatant who is profoundly sure of himself, and very difficult to match. There's something about him that speaks of a disturbing power...
Strategy: One of my favorites to play with - not only does he hit like a truck; when he uses Me First, the tinted lens ability and the bonus from Me First makes their own attacks their worst enemies. Magma Storm is for those few who could pose a threat to him, dealing massive damage affected by STAB and trapping them in the vortex for continuous damage. Pursuit is to take out those who invariably try to flee from him. And Roar is to exploit the spikes and rocks, damaging all of the opponent's party, and picking and choosing the ones I want to kill first.
Lumina, the dark Gardevoir
Ability: Bad Dreams
Item: Wise Glasses
Moveset: Dark Pulse, Nightmare, Luster Purge, Dark Void [will soon be replaced with Dark Pulse, Nightmare, Psychic, Dark Void. It needs the additional PP and damage more than it needs the additional % to lower special defense. Unfortuantely the original owner of the character would rather keep Dark Pulse than give in and let me give her Dream Eater, which I suppose is fine, to kill other psychics, ghosts, and deal with dark types]
Concept: A dark, purple Gardevoir who meddles in dark abilities as much as she uses her psychic potential.
Strategy: The sleep-lock. Dark Void and Nightmare are used to give additional damage-over-time and prevent the opponent from retaliating, likely making them shift pokemon often, playing them over the spikes and rocks. Dark Pulse is for taking out that which Luster Purge cannot.
Yuki, the purple Froslass
Ability: Snow Cloak
Item: BrightPowder
Moveset: Blizzard, Hail, Double Team, Healing Wish [will change Healing Wish into Lunar Dance]
Concept: The quiet member of the group, the elusive and frosty ghost. The ninja of the group, but surprisingly gentle when her friends need her help.
Strategy: Frost ninja. Pretty simple. Buff evasion, take advantage of the hail to blast foes with blizzard. When her health is low, sacrifice her to bring a weakened pokemon back into the fight with a vengeance.
Malice, the Mismagius
Ability: Magic Guard
Item: Life Orb
Moveset: Dark Ball, Doom Desire, Confuse Ray, Destiny Bond
Concept: The ghostly librarian of the book, and the most powerful mage of the group.
Strategy: Nuker. She comes in near the end, while it is still hailing, and delivers some late-game punishment, getting STAB and Life Orb free for her Dark Ball spam. Doom Desire is set up as often as possible, while confuse ray is there to frustrate enemies. When her health gets low, take the foe with her with Destiny Bond.
My friend's Frost team [Designed, but not yet implemented]
Glacie, the white Glaceon
Ability: Snow Warning
Held Item: NeverMeltIce
Moveset: Blizzard, Fake Out, U-turn, Milk Drink
Concept: A little glaceon kit, who is very fast and very good at working in cold weather, and, indeed, always seems surrounded by it.
Strategy: The scout of the party, starting off with Fake Out and then using U-turn to switch out. As an added bonus, she keeps the hail constant during the battle. When the chips are down, though, she can hit for some serious damage with her Blizzard, with perfect accuracy and piercing from the hail, and a power boost from STAB and NeverMeltIce. She can use Milk Drink to stay at good HP.
Mischief, the icy Spiritomb
Ability: Ice Body
Held Item: Leftovers
Moveset: Stealth Rock, Poison Spikes, Spikes, Curse
Concept: The mischievous and somewhat dangerous trickster ghost of the party.
Strategy: The spiker of the party, and quite difficult to take down. As long as the hail keeps up, she heals a significant portion of health each turn. When she finishes spiking, she uses curse to get the enemy to switch out, or die from the damage over time. Eventually, she'll keep cursing until she faints.
Verdandi, the barrier Espeon
Ability: Magic Guard
Held Item: Life Orb
Moveset: Psychic, Light Screen, Reflect, Doom Desire
Concept: Glacie's mother, and a rather powerful psychic pokemon.
Strategy: A combination of barrier-maker and sweeper, she has a -very- powerful psychic attack, boosted by STAB and the free Life Orb. She starts with Doom Desire, and sets up barriers, before blasting with psychic and doom desire whenever it is ready.
Cyrille, the brawler girl Gallade
Ability: Snow Cloak
Held Item: BrightPowder
Moveset: Shadow Force, Dragon Dance, Double Team, Leech Seed
Concept: Though the pokemon is male-only, this, at least out-of-game, is a female brawler-girl RP character.
Strategy: A snow ninja, starting off, while hailing, with 30% evasion, and quickly using double team to make it even harder to hit. Unlike most ninjas, this one can take a hit, and, even worse, can -really- hit back. Leech Seeds as soon as possible, provoking a switch-out to utilize the traps even more effectively. The leech seed also sets up for the next pokemon. Uses Dragon Dance after her evasion is high enough, and she boosts her strength and def. Then she starts using shadow force, the one-turn unhittable delay perfect for more hail and leech seed [and hopefully toxic] damage. And when she hits with massively boosted attack, and her already high attack, well, she hits like a truck.
Ciel, the icy Milotic
Ability: Ice Body
Held Item: Leftovers
Moveset: Hydro Cannon, Substitute, Whirlpool, Aqua Ring
Concept: The gentle and yet powerful and beautiful Milotic.
Strategy: Starts off with a Substitute and Aqua ring, setting her up for massive HP gain. Ideally, with hail causing her Ice Body HP gain, her Leftovers, Aqua Ring, and hopefully a leech-seeded enemy, at the end of her turn she'll recover all the HP she used for substitute, and her massive HP makes her substitutes very hard to break. She uses Whirlpool as soon as possible to trap a seeded enemy in play, and Hydro Cannon to blast away her opponents. She can afford the one-turn recharge.
Iris, the Latias
Ability: Ice Body
Held Item: Soul Dew
Moveset: Spacial Rend, Luster Purge, Miracle Eye, Magma Storm
Concept: The powerful, though shy, last member of the group.
Strategy: The last line of attack before Glacie's last stand, and the true sweeper of the group. Her stats are amazing, boosted by the Soul Dew, focusing on Special Attack and Special Defense, with some good speed. Her Spacial Rend and Luster Purge get STAB, but Magma Storm is great for trapping enemies and dealing with the worst of her weaknesses. Miracle Eye shuts down enemy ninjas, and destroys the Dark types sent against her.
