  1. IMPORTANT NOTE: Please update to the latest version if you were using 1.0.2, a pretty serious glitch was fixed. It uses the same download link Introduction Pokémon SoothingSilver is a QOL DS ROM hack of Pokémon SoulSilver. The main goal of the hack is to be somewhat close to Vanilla SoulSilver but with more variety, a bit more difficulty and quite a few new features (such as custom shinies and alolan forms) to hopefully give the player an even better experience without ruining the feeling of the original SoulSilver. The game is beatable, all the way to Mt. Silver!Features Some Pokémon have been replaced by their Alolan forms, mainly for type variety, later on I'll release a patch for people who don't want this feature in the game. Alolan forms have custom Pokédex entries! All gen 1 & 2 Pokémon (apart from legendaries and fossil pokémon) are avaliable before beating the league, and most gen 3 & 4 pokémon aside from the sinnoh fossils, Spiritomb and some legendaries. Lyra is replaced entirely by Kris! Gold/ Kris will now act like a rival with new dialogue and a few battles throughout the game! Variety. Remember back in the original SoulSilver when you would find a trainer with 5 Pidgeys or when you fought Lance and he had 3 Dragonites? That won't happen anymore, trainers will have more varied teams and Pokémon that didn't appear much previously, will do now. Increased difficulty. All boss trainers have improved teams with better movesets and starting from the 4th gym all trainers will have increased levels. This means Kanto should be more of a challenge now! The difficulty is intended to be somewhere inbetween vanilla SoulSilver and StormSilver. The Hack should work on flashcarts like the R4! All Pokémon have their base stats updated to their Gen 6 stats. Some Pokémon have slightly altered stats, typings, and movesets in order to make them more usable, to add more type variety or just because it makes sense. Examples include Dragon-Bug Yanmega, Beedrill having slightly higher stats and learning Megahorn at later levels. These changes aren't as drastic as other hacks like Project rebooted. Some moves have been edited to be more usuable. Notably HMs are now actually better in battle so they don't hinder your Pokémon as much. For example Rock smash has increased pp and 100% chance to lower defense and Flash is now an electric type special move with 20 power, 95 accuracy, 100% chance lower accuracy and has priority. Easier Evolution. If a Pokémon has an evolution/ pre evolution introduced in gen 3/4 it'll be avaliable pre league and all evo items can be obtained in new ways. In addition any evolutions will be possible without having to trade. The type chart has been edited a little to help balance the game. Most notably Ice type is now immune to ice and resists water/ ground attacks New overworld events! Shiny rate increased from 1/8192 to 1/2048 (although it seems to be even higher than this!) Some pokémon will have custom shiny palletes! GB sounds from the start of the game Game corner has changed prizes and cheaper prices Early exp. share Removed the catching tutorial Repels and Max Repels now last slightly longer and Max Repels are cheaper Some characters have their dialouge altered a little to be slightly more memorable or just to explain features like alolan forms Plus more small features! I don't want to spoil everything :] Screenshots Discord Server If you want to ask me any questions, talk about the hack/ pokémon in general, get frequent updates on future versions, play with some pokémon discord bots and more then try joining the discord server! Thank you to Drayano for allowing me to use parts of his Kyogre/ Rayquaza script plus future legendary scripts! And thank you to all of you who supported me or just played the BETA and kept my motivation up, couldn't have done it without you! Future Updates I still plan on releasing a few updates to add cool new features that I would love to have in the game such as new areas. However recently I began my second year of university. I had pretty much made this whole hack during my extended summer because of the corn virus, but now that Uni has resumed and is supposed to be much more difficult this year, the development of SoothingSilver will slow down drastically so I don't even have an expected release date for the next version. However I made sure to get version 1 out before I got too busy which is pretty much a finished experience. I may release a bug fix update soon but aside from that the next update will take a long time, so enjoy version 1 thank you so much again for all your support! Buh bye!

This is a mod of Pokemon Rumble (Wii) that was made for the shiny hunting community event Rumble Weekend! The original Pokemon Rumble contains only the 1st and 4th gen Pokemon, but this mod reintroduces the 2nd & 3rd gen Pokemon (and their shinies) to the game in a new terminal known as "GX"! The layer of fog on all stages has also been removed, and the collection screen has been updated to support all 493 available Pokemon! The original base game also remains fully intact in order to preserve the rarity of certain Pokemon. Included are 3 bps patches to be applied to a USA version of Pokemon Rumble to get you into GX! Due to slight differences in dumps of the games out there, there were 3 patches made to ensure it works. (details on how to obtain the original game obviously not provided) This is fully cross-compatible with save files from the original Pokemon Rumble (USA natively, PAL/JP with some additional steps detailed in the FAQ doc linked below), and it can be installed on actual hardware via homebrew. This patch currently ONLY works with the USA version of the game due to slight scripting/file structure differences that exist in the JP/PAL versions of the game, so if you want to play it on a Japanese or PAL Wii, you will need to do some region changing upon installation with homebrew. This mod is still very much a work-in-progress, and for full details on what's available/what is planned for the future, read the readme file inside the zip folder! -NEW- There is now a document with frequently asked questions and answers! I hope to continue updating this as I keep updating the game! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1iVykfxF5ekN4cg3Nes07Akt5ABdmFFDdMr8GbpYmp48/edit?usp=sharing -"WindyPrairie"

  3. I was at the 1999 Mew distribution at Myer Centre, Brisbane, Australia. I'm sure that the machine was a Super Game Boy - I owned the original Super Game Boy and I remember that when I saw the Mew Machine I immediately thought of it as a kind of souped up Super Game Boy. I think it as a different colour to the Japanese one pictured (something less bright), but the shape was similar (not sure if was the exact same or not). I clearly remember the slot for the game boy cart, and the built in screen, looking the same as the one pictured. They lined up all the kids with those velvet rope things and there were several signs explaining that you needed to have a pokedex and a poke ball in the game. (I doubt it actually consumed the poke ball, they probably just wanted to avoid a game breaking bug by someone downloading a Mew extremely early). You simply plugged your game cart into the Mew Machine and it added a Mew directly to your party. (Maybe it could handle adding one to a box? I can't remember if they explicitly instructed us to make space in our party or I just did that myself). It was level 5 and knew Pound. My game boy has long died so I can't confirm if any other details were the same as overseas. The animation on the Mew Machine screen had a slight variation of the animation for trading (with less shots because it only showed Mew going one way instead of a two way trade). The name of the 'other trainer' appeared like it would in a normal Gen 1 trade, and that name was YOSHI (that wasn't the OT of the Mew you got, however). They ran it for two full days, ~ 9-5. I got in at the start of one of the days, and again near the end of it when there were no other kids left. I took the opportunity to put my game in the machine again, and it did add a second Mew to the cart. There were clearly no safeguards against this in the software. My Dad was concerned that there would be, and outright asked the employees if I should use it a second time. Fortunately his snitching didn't ruin my perfect crime and they let me get my second Mew. Besides the Mew machine they had a table where employees would teach you how to play/advertise the TCG. I don't think there were any freebies/promo cards to go with this.

  5. Hey, since I updated my Mac I can't access PkHex anymore... I always get this message "Befehls-Fehlertext: Can't exec "/var/folders/r0/4zgh3k6j5q73vjxc6d95050w0000gn/T/AppTranslocation/AD855148-C082-4B7C-B26B-D8AEDD7A9850/d/CrossOver.app/Contents/SharedSupport/CrossOver/bin/wineloader": Bad CPU type in executable at /var/folders/r0/4zgh3k6j5q73vjxc6d95050w0000gn/T/AppTranslocation/AD855148-C082-4B7C-B26B-D8AEDD7A9850/d/CrossOver.app/Contents/SharedSupport/CrossOver/bin/cxstart line 1241. cxstart:error: unable to start '/var/folders/r0/4zgh3k6j5q73vjxc6d95050w0000gn/T/AppTranslocation/AD855148-C082-4B7C-B26B-D8AEDD7A9850/d/CrossOver.app/Contents/SharedSupport/CrossOver/bin/wineloader': Bad CPU type in executable" Can someone help me?

  6. Unfortunately the game acts as if the Link Cable is used even when choosing Wireless Adapter in the settings. Too bad, besides that No$gba still has the most stable link emulation. @Liger0 However I got it to work on an old version of VBA-M https://projectpokemon.org/home/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=37343 Open 1 instance of the emulator and configure your settings. Most important: - disable "Pause when inactive" - set and enable the GBA BIOS file - choose link type "Wireless Adapter - Single Computer" - set link timeout to 500 and check "Auto-start link" Close VBA again to make sure the settings are saved correctly. Then open 2 instances of VBA and open your games. By the way the save file of the second instance needs a "-2" appended to its name, e.g. "Emerald-2.sav". I tried it a few times with this setup and it worked each time! Edit: It actually also works on the latest nightly https://win.vba-m.com/nightly/ if you use local mode for linking.
