  1. Technology does make people lose face-to-face contact at times, but overall we are more connected then ever to not just a handful of people, but MILLIONS of people. Technology has helped improve services like retail and health. It helps make the world a safer place.

  2. Sadly no XD I just reached a part of the Treehouse playthrough, and I was listening to what Masuda was saying. He expressed that it felt kindly lonely to start out with an empty PokeBall Plus (and you could kind of hear it in his voice). After much thought, they decided that Mew was the best candidate to be the first Pokemon in the Pokeball Plus! He thought it was cool for players to be able to play and hear the Mew in the Ball, even before they get home and transfer it to their Switch!

  3. It's like most things in life, in that it is whatever you make of it. It's easier than ever to go and find people to talk to and expand your world, but it's also easier than ever to decide "i will only ever interact with X group of people" and shut yourself off from the rest of the world. It's all about balancing it out.

  4. It was announced in a Nintendo Direct during E3 2018, that the PokéBall Plus will come with a Mew gift inside it. This also shows us the first look of Mew in the upcoming games. source: https://twitter.com/poke_times/status/1006568382160924673

  7. https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Mirage_Island_(Generation_III) Although Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald include a location pointer for "Mirage Island", any Wynaut caught here will simply display "Met on Route 130" in their summary. This is because the player is technically still on Route 130's map.

  8. It's already sold out in many sellers, I think it'll challenge BOTW, even if harcore players are not over hyped. Sorry, I'm not english-native I do sometimes errors. Most of the time I'm correcting myself after. The real challenge will be to collect all exclusives moves in PGO all of them are time limited and can even be usefull in battle like Quick Attack Staryu/Porygon.

  9. You can transfer a Mew from Pokemon Go too, so if you've played that enough to obtain Mew then you have options. However from what I gather anything transferred from Pokemon Go can't go back which makes me reluctant to do that.

  10. That's really made me consider it now too, I do play a lot of Pokemon Go so it will have its uses too. It's just a lot of money for something that would be fun to have, but hardly essential. Nintendo know how to market things to me!

  11. I have a similar mindset to this as far as genning goes. I see the small fee as more of a "You are paying $0.50 per pokemon so that you don't have to hack your 3DS and learn how to use all of these tools yourself" kind of thing. And you are completely right about when you make things rare/limited quantity people will be willing to pay for them, its just supply and demand. That's true, I was more getting at things like twitch streams targeted at getting kids to donate to get rare pokemon and little children begging their parents for the credit card to buy "all of the shiny pokemon" on ebay type of thing.

  12. I'm neutral, selling genned / cloned Pokemon is not something i'd personally ever do. However the people who are selling stuff are offering a service, if people are willing to pay for that service then that's their choice. All the information is out there for someone to do it themselves, anyone paying is paying for someone else's time because they don't want to lean how to do it themselves. Personally I don't believe in genning Pokemon, I think that spoils the game. Especially as GTS / Wondertrades are full of hacked / genned Pokemon, if your doing that you should be respectful of other players and keep it offline or to private trades. Don't do it in public or use these Pokemon in public battles. If your playing offline I believe your free to play the game how you enjoy it the most. Some people might be against injecting / sharing / preserving event Pokemon. Personally i'm all for that, so it's really what you find acceptable when playing the game. People enjoy the games for different reasons.

  13. I feel as though disgusting is too strong a word to use here. Plus, people can choose to not buy it and simply transfer a Mew from Pokemon Go, which is effectively free and everyone can obtain it in P-Go without hacking Anyhow, they've always sold special promotional packages for even less, like stupid Items -.- At least the Ball dongle is actually usable. ------- Now talking about the entire "selling/profiting off" category; It's unavoidable. Whenever you (in this case GF and TPCi) restrict/limit something to make it rare, people will end up trading something else in order to obtain it. Be it cards, in-game Pokemon, or money. I think trades on forums/subreddits between codes and Pokemon makes sense, money and events not desirable but tolerable. If we think of it as any other scenario (not Pokemon), if there's something rare you want, and see it on eBay, they'll probably just buy it. It's not something abnormal or out of place. Paid genning services gets on my nerves, tho. Granted, I understand that some people don't have access to genning, and frankly not too many people are keen to reply constant requests to gen stuff for free, so if you're going to spend your time helping others, a small fee isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it does feel a bit scummy. I'm glad that paid for gen practice isn't a thing allowed here.

  14. Such a sweet way to press us to get that accessory (50$). If they really wanted to give us a bonus without disguting us they could have choose another Pokemon like ... Voltorb with an event move, it should have been more fair.

  16. In my case, the way we promote emotions for each other at free time is usually to have a meal together or go singing together, but these are all spend a lot of money. The cheaper way is to play game together. We often play LOL , so technology maybe did not make us alone , but make us in other way .

  17. The power to confess my feelings to her :c Joking aside, some sort of biologic immortality and no aging would be pretty neat. Even if it means leaving those I love behind in time, I'd like to live through different eras. An "inventory" like those you have in games would be nice as well. I mean, I do like carrying a bag around and I'm actually so used to it that I feel uneasy when I don't have it. But..well, sometimes you wanna take something that doesn't fit in a bag and that's a problem.

  18. Immortality would be nice indeed, but only if your friends/family will live forever as well. I would feel sad if everyone is gone and I would still have to live forever. I mean I could find new friends but again they all would die someday while I would still be alive. Another useful super power would be teleportation in my opinion. If I'm late for a meeting I wouldn't have to hurry up, I can just relax and port myself to the meeting. No more trouble with high traffic and trains that always tend to be too late... and I would be able to do some spontaneous weekend trips, for example to Japan to grab some event Pokemon or just a day on the beach. ?

  19. Considering I spend most of my time playing games and watching videos, while my 16yo brother spends 99% of his time on Minecraft servers/CS:GO/PUBG? and on Discord, I believe (he used to use Skype a lot; I hate its ringtone now) - to the point where he doesn't want to go out anywhere...yes, technology does have an isolating impact, if you allow it to. Furthermore, since technology allows us to spew hatred and harmful messages all over the globe (cyberbullying, Political Correctness, alt-left), it can also isolate victims that way too. Not to mention the fact we'd all be royally screwed should anything happen to said technology; one solar flare EMP, and we're effectively thrust all the way back to medieval times. So yeah, technology does have its massive downsides, to balance out its positives.

  21. I’d have to disagree with you that online shopping and social media has made people lazy. Online shopping has help people to sell their product to a larger market place so that they can make a living and buying online helps people to get product that normally isn’t available to them. Social media can help us stay connected and stay in the loop.

  22. Instead of meeting someone in person and hanging out with them more, people tend to text or use smartphones to talk to people. Technology makes you more alone because we are always depending on our phones and other technology; when you start to get too attached to your technology, you start to compare your life with the lives of others. so that many people have access to technology and that there is not a lot of restrictions to Technology
