  2. I decided to make a quick video and guide on how to compile PKHeX since most of the guides or "tutorials" I see out there are either outdated or way too complicted for the average user that just wants to quickly get the latest version of PKHeX. I know when I first started to get into the compiled versions of PKHeX, I had so much trouble getting things to work. Ill also include a video I just made explaining it too. 1. Go and download Microsoft Visual Studio Community 2017 Here: https://www.visualstudio.com/downloads/ 2. Install and make sure Microsoft VS opens properly (you may need the latest .NET installed) 3. go to https://github.com/kwsch/PKHeX and download the latest master 4. Unzip the "PKHeX-master" folder from the zip you just downloaded and open "PKHeX.sln" 5. click on "Build" and then "Build Solution" 6. Make Sure it Says that 0 Failed. If any Files Fail to Build I Would Just Retry Step 5 7. Go back to the "PKHeX-master" Folder from Earlier and Enter (PKHeX.WinForms>>bin>>Debug) If Everything Worked you Should see All of the PKHeX Files in this Folder. (You Only Need the PKHeX Program (the one with the PKHeX Logo) and the PKHeX.Core.dll File. The Rest of the "PKHeX-master Folder Can be Deleted. Congrats! You Just Learned How to Compile PKHeX. If You Need Any More Clarification Just Check Out My Video Tutorial Above.

  7. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2: Explorers of the Sky [icon]133[/icon]Introduction So here's another unnecessarily long thread I'm starting because not many of us are paying much attention to the Pokemon spin-off series, myself included. I suppose there really is no point, but for some people who want to take a break from the mainstream series, want a good laugh, or want to see what Pokemon do when there aren't humans around, this game may just be for you! For those who already play this game, many of the things I state here are OBVIOUS, but this is mostly directed towards people who haven't had the chance to look over the Mystery Dungeon series and want to try something else, be you a casual Pokemon gamer, a competitive battler, or someone who hasn't played any of that (though why you would be here in a Pokemon boards is beyond me). [icon]115[/icon]For Parents No there are no swear words in this game, there is no murder or actual violence, and no sexual or mature themes either. Yes Pokemon disappear once you defeat them, but only graphically, as evidenced by boss fights and the following cutscenes. It is assumed they ran away or escaped the dungeon. But if games are harmful or don't want your children addicted, stay away from this game, and in fact, every other video games out there, as most of them, even something as simple as Tetris, can get a person hooked for ages, which is detrimental to one's health, lest they want to end up like me. Now that I got that over with... [icon]040[/icon]Story Pokemon Mystery Dungeon offers a very colourful cast of characters ranging from good guys, bad guys, Pokemon of mysterious natures, and so forth. For mainstream game players, if some Pokemon did not seem so notable to you (perhaps Loudred), or some turned out just annoying or trollsome (like Bidoof) then this game might help remedy your perceptions to some Pokemon. Each Pokemon introduced in this game have very vibrant personalities and are easily recognisable that way. In fact every time I played through this game I could actually "hear" the voices of each Pokemon due to their tone of speech and how they go by. So in terms of characters, this game is INCREDIBLY rich and will hardly disappoint. They even have the lazy Team Slackers (a Slowpoke + Slakoth duo) who will do nothing but laze around! Maybe some of you competitive players might decide to use some of these Pokemon in your own team rosters! . . . No? Aww, and here I thought I could dream. Also, some of the legendaries are assigned a gender when talked to, which is also pretty cool. Though I did see a rescue request with a Bronzong being referred to as "she", which I found quite bizarre, but I suppose it happens. Some characters though, only show up like once (like boss fights) and are never seen again, which is disappointing, especially when they are "notable" Pokemon in something like competitive battling and such, but that's fine. Your player character is a silent protagonist (though (s)he does some talking), and your partner is the talkative sidekick who seems to always talk before thinking, much like the Apostle Peter. But that's always what they do. As many of us may or may not know, the Pokemon you play as is dependent on the result of a personality test, which is pretty fun in itself. There is a wide array of Pokemon, ranging from the starter Pokemon from Kanto to Sinnoh to the famous Pikachu. However, Phanpy, Shinx, and Riolu may ONLY be Male while Vulpix, Eevee, and Skitty may ONLY be female. Some people genuinely follow the personality test, while others look at a guide to manipulate what they get. I took it while I was playing its predecessor Explorers of Darkness and got a Chikorita (Calm type Male) but I decided to play as an Eevee in this game because I just love Eevee. Although Meowth and Munchlax are NO LONGER available as starter Pokemon, they can be chosen as partners. Yes, the player gets to choose their partner Pokemon, though not every one are available, just a select few apparently. After seeing that Vulpix in that list, I couldn't resist and chose the fox immediately. You get to name both yourself and your partner. If your partner wants to "meat you", I think you might be safer without one. The story starts off with a Pokemon (your partner) who watches Krabbies (plural of Krabby?) blowing bubbles in the beach during the evening, which is always nice to look at. This fellow is quite nervous, but he (or she in my Vulpix's case) always wanted to join an exploration team, which are basically a group of Pokemon who go through Mystery Dungeons for the sake of exploring or grabbing treasures, gaining fame, etc. Basically this is what Pokemon do when we trainers aren't around, or something. But with human-like features? Yeah I don't know... they're breaking the lines between human and animal features from Pokemon these days, but if that's the direction they're going, that's where it's going. Speaking of human, you (the player) are found lying on the beach, and the partner Pokemon finds you unconscious and that's where you two meet. Aww. And then you two make fast friends, though you say something; you were a human and all of a sudden you've turned into a Pokemon. What? Yeah... that's the weird part of the story, and I'm not sure if I'm enamoured with the whole human becoming Pokemon concept, but stuff like Yamask were apparently human in their past lives according to the Unova Pokedex. Anyways your partner starts blabbering off and stuff about how he always wanted to be an explorer and says ever since he found this Relic Fragment, some small rock with a mysterious symbol on it, and he shows it to you. Well, that is until these two stinkers come in (Koffing and Zubat) and decides to steal it and run into Beach Cave. Ewww. So you and your partner team up and chase them down your first mystery dungeon (Beach Cave) and find the two evildoers at the end of the cave, basically making them your first boss. So your partner retrieves his Relic Fragment and because you apparently gave him support, both of you decide to go to the famous Wigglytuff's Guild Base and start a life in being an explorer. Once that's done, you get to name your own Explorer Team! Hurray! Yeah well, no, I'm not spoiling the rest of this; it is up to you to find out. As for the story that comes after this, I admit, I felt VERY childish playing through this game. Sometimes the characters were talking for just TOO long, saying things unnecessarily, elongating stuff and playing through many flashbacks and sometimes stating the obvious when you could have figured out what was going on by then. However, since this game is intended to be played by children more than adults, I suppose I cannot complain there. But long dialogues aside, the story will definitely not disappoint. The character development and how each integrate into the story are definitely something to look forward to and it's the story that seems to get people to continue playing, much like Pokemon Black and White I suppose. There's a lot to do with Time and Space like the mascots of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl are based off. The Sky Version seems to promote Shaymin in the cover, so maybe Shaymin is involved. Heh, we'll see. [icon]037[/icon]Gameplay Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is of the Roguelike genre, which is basically a turn based game where one needs to navigate through randomly-generated labyrinths (which is why it is called Mystery Dungeon), finding treasures, thwarting hostile enemies (in this case, Pokemon living in these mystery dungeons), and eventually reach their goal, which is usually finding some special treasure or a boss fight. Because of the randomly generated dungeons, there is very little chance of ever finding two mazes ever alike; the floors will be randomly generated as you go in. If anyone is familiar with the game Shiren the Wanderer, this game is a LOT like it, except with Pokemon. As for the actual gameplay... right. Well, as for you regular Pokemon game players; this does NOT follow the mechanics of the actual game quite right. Most of the mechanics in this game you might consider quite unorthodox. In fact, you're bound to see your Squirtle defeating many Exeggutors with Water Gun, or your Eevee smashing Tyranitars with two Quick Attacks. Yeah, base stats and whatever do NOT factor in this game. IVs and EVs? Natures? Forget about it. Just because you got Relaxed Female and got a Vulpix does NOT in any way add Defence and reduce Speed and therefore detrimental. That would be in mainstream Pokemon, but not in Mystery Dungeon. So all your competitive knowledge and stuff? Say goodbye to that. We don't need it! Speaking of Speed, that stat doesn't even factor in Mystery Dungeon, although speed boosting/speed decreasing moves still exist. Those serve a purpose though; if your speed is doubled, you can move two tiles before the slower foes can. It serves as a strategic move and is in no way in any effect of "who attacks first". This isn't Pokemon as you know it. Also, Pokemon also have BOTH of their abilities; meaning Bronzong will have both Heatproof AND Levitate. As for type advantage/disadvantages... No Effect: 0% in Main Series, 50% in Mystery Dungeon Not-Very-Effective: 50% in Main Series, 70% in Mystery Dungeon Neutral: 100% in Main Series, 100% in Mystery Dungeon Super-Effective: 200% in Main Series, 140% in Mystery Dungeon STAB: 150% in Main Series, 150% in Mystery Dungeon STAB moves are more effective than super effective moves... and Ground moves will do damage against Fliers. That's not to say immunities don't exist; immunities stil come in the form of abilities such as Levitate or Flash Fire. However, just by sticking to raw power will get you nowhere; there are also particular items that can be of help. Oh, and Storm Drain and Lightningrod works a lot like its GEN V counterparts; it grants immunity, but it does not raise Special Attack. As usual, dual types have their type weakness/resistance multiplied if two types clash, not added. So you want an evolution? Too bad. In this game, you are pretty much STUCK to your form, meaning NO evolution. Well actually I lied. You cannot evolve until much later in the game, and that is during post-story. Aside from adding + 10 HP/+5 stats, evolution doesn't do much else. Remember, stats are not the same like in regular Pokemon; and any Pokemon can reach a max of 999 HP and 255 Stats I believe with the aids of vitamins (you know, Protein and Calcium and stuff?), except you're not limited to 100 EVs and stuff because THOSE VALUES DO NOT EXIST! This means if you like how a mid form Pokemon looks better than its final form (like those people complaining about Dragonite and fauning over Dragonair), you may as well keep it as Dragonair and say no more. Mind you, there is still the whole movepool issue with that; Dragonite learns more moves than Dragonair so it's always wise to think about whether you want to evolve or not. How to evolve your Pokemon? Not saying anything about it; you shouldn't even worry about it until post-main story. With that being said, base stats did not translate too well to this game. Surprisingly, you'll see Blissey become offensively capable in this game but wonder where half of her HP went. Yes, the game WILL have you fight some legendary Pokemon as bosses. I know you are freaking out, as you are going to be using your "wimpy little guys" against big scary, I don't know, Zapdos. How do you deal with big ol' scary Zapdos then? We use items! What? There are many items we will concern here. What good explorers do is they carry a lot of Oran Berries, Max Elixirs, Orbs, and Seeds. B-b-but... don't Oran Berries give you 10 HP? What's the point to that? Not in this game! It restores 100 HP, making it very useful early throughout the game. Then what are orbs and seeds? Okay, there are many types of Orbs which can do all sorts of different functions, such as Radar Orb which scans for enemies in the mini map or Slumber Orb which puts every enemies in your room to sleep. However, the Orbs ONLY WORK in Mystery Dungeons and will not work in Boss Fights; it will just say "A mysterious power prevented it from working" or something, effectively wasting your turn. Seeds, however, work to your benefit in dungeons and in boss fights. Reviver Seeds are the MOST important seed to carry when going on expeditions. As the name states, it instantly revives your Pokemon the moment (s)he hits 0 HP, but when it is used up, it turns into a Plain Seed, which is basically a space hogger; it does nothing. Heal Seed is like Full Heal from mainstream games; it removes bad status like burn or poison. However, there are seeds you do NOT want to eat. Stuff like Sleep Seed puts you to sleep and X-Eye Seed makes you cross-eyed, which means you're not hitting anything properly. Then why would you carry them? It's simple; it's to put that Zapdos to sleep. How? You chuck the seed at the enemy by selecting it and selecting THROW, not EAT. See how many useful strategies this game has already? These items were primarily designed for boss fights I suppose, as it goes a LONG way in helping your team secure victory. Like those MMOs and whatnot, every Pokemon has a "normal" attack, which is executed by simply pushing A. This move becomes obsolete later though but it is always there as a "last resort" when your actual attacks start running out of PP, or to actually defend yourself against a Shedinja if you have no moves that can hit it. I think many of us are familiar with the techniques + PP system. Basically, the PP is how much an attack can be used. If it reaches 0, the move cannot be used anymore. In this game, every step you make counts as one turn; as you move, the other Pokemon in the dungeon makes a move. You will have to continually access the menu to use techniques such as Tackle, but you can bypass this step and automatically use Tackle by selecting it in the menu and select "Set". This way, all you have to do is push R + A to execute the move, like a hotkey. You can even link two moves, such as Tail Whip + Tackle, for a strategic effect. If you use a linked move, you will execute both moves in one turn, making it quite effective. To link a move, you have to talk to an Electivire in Treasure Town, but all this detail can come later in game. Some attacks work differently. For example, multi-hitting moves are nearly broken as they do colossal damage, but they have poor accuracy. Moves like Pursuit and Uproar does no damage in this game; the former sets you in a state where you counterattack anything that hits you (provided you're not knocked out) while the latter just wakes everyone up and puts you in a "sleepless state". Mirror Move is a broken move which makes you impervious to like everything and reflect back the moves that hit you until its duration runs out. Protect is incredibly broken too; you take NO damage for like a few turns while you can still attack during that state. Moves like Imprison got all of a sudden useful, as it puts a Pokemon in a "Paused state" (basically means they cannot move) for a duration. Bubble can hit anyone from far range, making it a very useful move while you would probably laugh at it in mainstream games. Powder Snow looks weak but in this game it's rather scary because it can hit EVERY FOES in the room, making it a great room cleaner. Area effects and such are of great importance here so it would be wise to know what they do. However, for the most part, many of the moves are alomst similar to their mainstream games counterparts; Iron Tail is still Iron Tail, Tackle is still Tackle, etc. There is another mechanic called IQ. You know how Return and Frustration is based off happiness in the mainstream games for their power? In this game, it is all dependent on IQ. Well, what is an IQ? IQ is pretty much what gives different Pokemon all sorts of different abilities. By eating Gummis, Pokemon can gain IQ points to power themselves up with all sorts of cool abilities. For example, PP Saver is an IQ that works 8% of the time to not use any PP while using a move. Nonsleeper is basically Insomnia; your Pokemon cannot sleep if it has that IQ. Some of the tough later bosses in game has this ability called Intimidator, which basically halts any melee attacks from striking 33% of the time, which is very scary. Most of the IQ skills can be turned on and off depending on the person's preferences. Most of the time it would be beneficial to turn on most of the IQ skills however. You can acquire different Pokemon to be part of your 4-Pokemon team. Sometimes during the dungeon if the LEADER FINISHES off a Pokemon the opposing Pokemon will sometimes ask if you want it to be part of your team. Answering yes will allow you to well, basically in trainer equivalent, catch the Pokemon, even giving them a nickname. You can change around who will stay and who will standby with Chimecho in the guild. There are other ways a Pokemon can join your team, but that is for you to find out. Keep in mind that some Pokemon can NOT be recruited by "normal means" amd will require other ways to get. As for the terrains in each dungeon, it's randomised, as I have said. Sometimes you can even start in the same room as the staircase. Once you go through a staircase you're not coming back down; you will continue progressing through floors. Some of these dungeons have water, which only water Pokemon or flying Pokemon can traverse over, some will have lava which Fire Pokemon can traverse over and others cannot cross over it by normal means. If you somehow do get into a lava and are not a Fire Pokemon, you will get burned, which isn't a good thing. Ghost Pokemon are incredibly annoying as foes; they can go through walls and can attack from the walls while being impervious to any attacks you try to use against them. You will encounter tiles called Mystery Tiles, which are grey blocks with a green arrow on it. These things remove any stat modifications on contact, which is essentially "Haze" in mainstream Pokemon. Later in games you will need to watch out for trap tiles, which are hidden, will activate on contact, and will do some nasty things like turning your Apples into Grimy Foods or putting you to sleep and the likes. There's more! Sometimes dungeons will possess a Kecleon who sells a bunch of items for any dungeon passengers. You can leave some items in some empty shop tiles to sell them to Kecleon. However, if you steal items from Kecleon, you WILL BE SORRY. I know, you mainstream players are wondering how that's even possible, since Kecleon isn't much of a threat in mainstream. Guess what? You're in the world of Mystery Dungeon, where moves like Bullet Seed means serious trouble to Heatran. Kecleon is pretty much uber in this game, and if you steal from him, he will attack you and have his other cronies come in if he fails. In other words; don't do it unless you are looking for trouble. Oh no. PLEASE. NO. And what more troubles can this game present you aside from angry wild Pokemon, obscured trap tiles, and enraged Kecleons? Many of you Mystery Dungeon players will shudder (or cheer) on this word MONSTER HOUSE. A... monster house? You mean where Wraith lives-*gets shot*- may I continue? Okay, good. During the later stages of the game, there can be a room (usually full of gummies) and all sorts of goodies. It looks so tempting to grab them until the music then decides to change drastically and a bunch of Pokemon start falling from the sky with the frightening message "IT'S A MONSTER HOUSE!" In a monster house, a gazillion Pokemon decide to gang up on your poor little team and decide to do... something really bad to them. Yeah... 2-4 Pokemon against like... 16 Pokemon in one room isn't something to look forward to, no sir. They'll usually come with a Pokemon or two with access to moves like Agility, which basically speeds up the whole room (remember speed in Mystery dungeon terms) allowing them to move TWICE, and that is not fun. Sometimes they're jerks and put the staircase in the Monster House room... and sometimes they're even bigger jerks by placing you into a Monster House as soon as you enter the floor. The rewards are usually a lot of goodies like Gummies and of course, large amount of EXP, but sometimes it isn't worth the bunch of Reviver Seeds used up in the progress. Stuff like Petrify Orb or something of that sort can be useful to beat Monster Houses, or a screen cleaning move like Blizzard or Heat Wave works really well too. Other than that, if one is not prepared to face a Monster House, it usually means GG for the explorer. But that's one thing to keep in mind when going inside the dungeon. Of course, there are good things in this game as well. There can sometimes be a hidden stairway that can lead to a Secret Bazaar (only available in Sky version), which is hosted by a Kirlia. There's a Mime Jr. which heals all your Pokemon for 100 Pokés, a Swalot who sells Grab Bags for 100 Pokés (mostly contains Oran Berries but other good stuff are in there too), a Lickilicky who cleans up your dirtied items for 100 Pokés, and a Shedinja who offers escape from the dungeon for 100 Pokés. Or take the staircase to the next floor. So you can clearly see this game is rich in surprises as well. As for Wifi connectivity, if a person gets stuck on a dungeon, one can send a SOS Mail to someone else to rescue them in a dungeon. Ever since Sky version, there were Special Episodes that allowed you to play through the perspective of some other Pokemon you've met in this game. I think that's a pretty cool touch and it allows you to get to know more about each characters. In fact I think that's what made me appreciate Bidoof more and it is pretty fun playing through them. There are 5 in total. [icon]025[/icon]Personality Quiz I think we all know about the whole personality quiz that this game has to offer in the start, which determines your starter. The personality quiz asks some normal questions, but there are some weird questions like "What would you do if a hand stuck out of a toilet?", and one of the choices was "Shake hands with it". Eek! Once you get your starter, the partner offered are never the same type as your starter. For example, if you get a Bulbasaur, the partners offered will not be Grass types. Unless you are using a guide to get a Pokemon, you can try to just play around with the Pokemon that is apparently most like you. But most people just use some guide I've noticed to get the Pokemon they want, such as this one. If you are starting this game and want an easy time, I suggest you grab a Pikachu. It has a good set of IQ, can learn a room cleaning move Discharge and has Agility to help it and its teammates move faster in a dungeon. Pikachu is pretty much the "easy mode" of this game. Some Pokemon, as I've stated before, are gender specific. In Sky version, Riolu, Shinx, and Phanpy are Male exclusive while Eevee, Vulpix and Skitty are Female exclusive. If you are a girl and want to play a Riolu for instance, if you really insist, it doesn't quite matter. Just pick male for the sake of Riolu then since I doubt people really use the personality quiz to get their Pokemon most of the time [icon]001[/icon]The Starters I guess from here I'll rate on how useful each Pokemon is and which partner works best for them... or whatever. Of course there's no stopping you from selecting the Pokemon you really like if you really like it. That's what I did, and there's many options for a starter Pokemon. [icon]134[/icon]My Playthrough As I've mentioned, I had an Eevee starter and a Vulpix partner. The story got me going a lot and even though the game was incredibly aggravating at many times that I just wanted to throw the DS out the window, it was a fun ride. I'll attach two save files in the end, one after the end of the first part of the game, and the other after the second part of the game. Because Tbird is a troll and named his Vaporeon Violet, which I used to do many times before he did, I named my Eevee Viola and my Vulpix Vixie. Vulpix was infinitely superior to Eevee. She leveled faster, took hits much better, and usually ended up saving my life quite often. The team's name is Team A Minor. I tend to name teams after musical keys. I've had G Minor and E Minor and stuff like that before in other Mystery Dungeon games. I think I ended up like this before I evolved the two... [hgsssprite]133[/hgsssprite] Viola @ Silver Bow - Flail - Quick Attack (SET) - Dig - Shadow Ball [hgsssprite]037[/hgsssprite] Vixie @ Special Band - Flamethrower - Imprison - Extrasensory - Quick Attack Right now Viola is a Level 54 Vaporeon and Vixie is a Level 55 Ninetales. Ninetales was no problem getting used to as it was essentially an upgraded Vulpix, but Vaporeon turned out even weaker than Eevee and was overall very hard to get used to. However, after adjusting her moveset to fit the role of Vaporeon better, it turned out a lot better for the most part. [sprite]134[/sprite] Viola @ Silver Bow - Flail - Water Pulse (SET) - Blizzard - Shadow Ball [hgsssprite]038[/hgsssprite] Vixie @ Special Band - Flamethrower - Imprison - Extrasensory - Dark Pulse Since I cannot execute the double Quick Attack strategy that was more frequent with Eevee + Vulpix combo, I had to adjust it like so. That's to give you an idea of how I play my characters. I might get rid of Flail though as it is much weaker than what Eevee's was. Both of their IQs are around 4 stars right now, so Viola has Multitalent. If I ever want to run through the game again, I might try a Treecko or something. Maybe even the difficult Skitty. As for the Special Episodes, I've completed the first three. I have yet to even start on the last two, but I certainly want to get ahead and beat those too. Particularly the final one. My Wifi access is busted; I cannot perform rescues unfortunately. Maybe some day... [icon]004[/icon]A Quick Look in Treasure Town and Beyond Attention: PEUT ou NE PEUT pas contenir des Spoilers I will not reveal every single major characters, but I'll give you an idea of what the Pokemon in Mystery Dungeon are like. This game is incredibly rich in characters, and even then I haven't mentioned every single one of them. [icon]352[/icon]Buy or Rent? And may we interest you with this TM? All yours for only 6500 Poké! If you ARE interested in playing this game at all, definitely buy. Renting is just too short unless you plan on just completing the main story, because there is just way too many post-game content and a lot of Wifi connective activities to spread the fun around. I really wouldn't consider the "Rent" option. If your friend has Explorers of Sky (doesn't seem to work with Time or Darkness versions), then you can use DS Download Play to get a taste of what it's like. Or so I see from the main menu; I don't really know how the DS Download Play works. [icon]253[/icon]Closing Words Well, I don't know what else to say. I know many of you are mainstream Pokemon players, and haven't really tried these spinoff games much because they're hardly like the mainstream Pokemon games. I know it's weird to see Pokemon personified and with human-like traits rather than animal-esque traits. Yes, it really is. It's true that you won't see Quick Attack destroying Tyranitar in two hits in the actual game, but if for some reason you get, well, tired of the competitive battling or want to try something else, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is always available for you to try out. I have a love-hate relationship with this game but it did entertain me for quite a while, so you can definitely try it out if you really want to. To me it's all about the story and character development... that's all games are for me. I suppose that is why it enamoured me so. Pokemon Mystery D.sav Pokemon Mystery D.sav

  10. Main page, scroll down: I don't know if this is a glitch with PKHeX, but how did you managed to get no language for your Regigigas!? (this is probably the thing that got it flagged by servers) While I don't think this is checked, this is certainly suspicious get it rerolled, to be sure.

For starters: for reshiram, don't make the background white, cause that's it's body's main color (lol) for beedrill, replace the wings to a color which matches it's wings (can use the colored wing from bulbapedia, for example for Diancie, reduce fuzziness. For these images, I typically use lower fuzziness, and do multiple replacements. edit: @Ellicrum Here's a Diancie Example for you. and result: others that I've worked on (I'll add these to the respective Sprite Indexes later):

  13. I'm always really curious how people got in to Pokemon and what people enjoy about the games. This post ended up a lot longer than I expected, however I hope you enjoy the read and i'd be interested in knowing you got in to Pokemon. I remember back in 1999 I had two friends who's granddad / grandma lived at the bottom of my street, they used to usually stop there for a night each weekend. Usually they would come up to see me and my brother or we would go down to their grandparents to see them. Anyway one weekend one of them had a new GameBoy game, this been Pokemon Red, after he told me how you could collect 150 Pokemon, trade, battle and evolve them, I was amazed. A few months later I had enough money saved to buy the game ,so I did. I got Red and my Brother got Blue. I remember all 4 of us used to play the games loads, eventually between us finishing the Pokedex. I eventually got an action replay to we could all get Mew, we had heard all the rumours about him been under a truck and so on, however no one really knew if they were true or not. You have to remember this is back in 1999. Internet access wasn't exactly everywhere then. Our family had dialup internet which myself and my brother were allowed to use for 1 hour each on a weekend, as it was quite expensive back then. I think thats how i found out you could use 0115D8CF (the only gameshark code i can remember) on a gameshark / action replay to turn all wild Pokemon in to Mew. With that in mind i got a gameshark, no one believed I had Mew, when i proved it they all wanted one, so I ended up trading a lot of Mews to people back then! Through the limited internet access we had back then my friend who got me in to Pokemon told me he knew someone who had this new Pokemon game that was out in Japan called Pokemon Gold and could play it on his PC with something called an Emulator. None of us really had any idea what was back then, however we managed to find a Geocities website with a download of NO$GMB and a partially translated JPN Pokemon Gold Rom. This was like wow, mind blown. Their was so many new Pokemon, the game was in colour and two of us could play at the same time using the NO$GMB emulator and trade Pokemon. Needless to say beyond the first couple of towns / cities the game only had the menus translated, however we still pretty much got the first 8 gym badges, not really understanding much of the story, but just been amazed by all these new Pokemon no one really knew anything about. I remember we copied the emulator and partially translated Pokemon Gold on to a floppy disk so my friends could play it at their granddads and at home too, as they didn't have internet access at the time. This was around a year and a half before the game was officially released in Europe. Shortly after the game was released in the US, an independent shop in our town must have imported lots of copies from the US and started selling them. They sold out however reserved us some copies for when they next got a shipment in, I think this would have been around Christmas in 2000 ish. Needless to say we had the game months before it came out in Europe. Still to this day i have my save game and need around 9 Pokemon to complete the Pokedex, I really should try and do that sometime! After Pokemon Gold / Silver i think we all kind of lost interest in Pokemon, partially due to not been able to trade up Pokemon to Ruby / Sapphire from previous games and with School / College taking up a lot more time than it used to. I still purchased Pokemon Ruby in 2003 when it was released in the UK, however no one I knew was really interested in Pokemon by then, I lost interest myself never actually finished Ruby until years later. In 2007 after having various jobs i decided to Uni, which is when i got in to Pokemon again. I was on a Computing related course where my coursemates also loved the Pokemon games when they were younger. I think we ended up talking about Pokemon one day, realised we all had an Nintendo DS so we went out and purchased Pokemon Diamond / Pearl. By this time Pokemon had the one thing we all agreed we wanted as kids, online trading! In free time between lectures we used to go have some food and play Pokemon together, after finishing Diamond and Pearl we went back and finished Ruby / Sapphire and the Leaf Green / Fire Red remakes. This kept us all interested in Pokemon until 2010 when Heart Gold / Soul Silver were released, we all agreed these would be the best Pokemon games ever, as we all thought Gold / Silver we're the best game when we were younger. Sadly they came out at such an awful time for us, it was our final few weeks at Uni before exams started, so i think we played it for one weekend solid, got to around the Pokemon League with the first 8 gym badges. After that Uni was basically over, we graduated and after summer everyone went home, 100's of miles apart. I purchased Pokemon White when that was released in 2011, however all i did was get 1 gym badge and download the Victini WiFi event. I'd literally just started a new job a few weeks before so Pokemon wasn't really on my mind back then. In 2013 i got a 3DS XL for Christmas, along with a copy of Pokemon Y. I played that quite a bit at Christmas but never really got hooked on Pokemon again. I then got Pokemon Omega Ruby a year later and really enjoyed that, I wouldn't say i got totally hooked on Pokemon but i did finish it. It was Christmas 2015, I happened to be at a family gathering with some cousins who were playing it, one of my cousins was working on a living Pokedex and I just thought i've always wanted to do that in Pokemon why have i never bothered? At this point I was not really interested in the Xbox 360 / Xbox One i'd mainly been gaming on for many years now. So I ended up going home and finishing up some loose ends on Omega Ruby, Pokemon Y, then going back and finishing Pokemon White, Black 2 and Heart Gold slowly though 2016, collecting all the in game legendaries from past games i knew i'd need for my living Pokedex. My goal was to try and do the Pokedex with myself as the OT for all Pokemon where possible. A friend from Uni and someone i'd known since School all got back in to Pokemon on the 3DS, so we setup a WhatsApp group chat and have randomly been trading online and collecting the Pokemon 20th Anniversary events between us this year. I had various event Pokemon in past games, however i re-visited GEN 3 this year i got talking to HaxAras, we started to project to collect Pokemon GEN 3 Pokemon still in GEN 3 as this seemed to be the only generation where it wasn't possible to get all the event Pokemon. GEN 1 and 2 had so few events, and most events for the WiFi games onward had been pretty well preserved on Project Pokemon. So fast forward to today im still hooked on Pokemon, playing through Pokemon Moon when time allows, i've currently just got to the start of the 4th island. Once i've finished that im going to keep working on my living Pokedex in GEN 6, which after importing from previous games I think I have around 600 of 721, or 600 of 820 when we can finally import in to Sun / Moon. A future long term goal is to do a living dex in GEN 3 as i'm still very much interested in that, especially in obtaining all the event Pokemon. Which is why i think the release of the 10ANNIV Distribution Cartridge by Deoxyz the other day is pretty awesome. I think for me I keep coming back to Pokemon as i love the collecting aspect of the game, plus the fact you can trade Pokemon up from all previous games in to the current generation of games, allowing you to still use all the Pokemon you put so much time in to going back many years. I personally can't wait to be able to import Pokemon from GEN 1 to GEN 7 as i have my saves from my childhood Red and Yellow on my 3DS waiting. I'm really hoping Nintendo release Gold / Silver and Crystal on the 3DS next year, so we finally have a way of importing Pokemon from all previous games in to the current generation, even if you do need to do a bit of hacking to get your old saves on the 3DS. Needless to say i'm pretty much hooked and can't see that changing any time soon now, especially with playing Pokemon Go with friends and family. So how did you get in to Pokemon? what do you like about Pokemon? and what's kept you interested in Pokemon over the years?

  14. I was not rich either ^_^;; Actually, me and my family were always pretty poor, and we never were able to afford cable till I was like a teenager. I owned a lot of dresses as a kid because dress making was something my grandma used to do; and she was very skilled at it too :3 EDIT: I think she only did it as a hobby after I was born, though. But she still had a job at making a little money now and then off of her paintings Cuz my grandma painted too. Yeah, she was a pretty amazing person, I guess... Also I have a brother too. Probably, if I didn't have a brother, I may of never ended up into gaming as I got older......but i really really don't like thinking of stuff like that :x I have my good reasons.

  15. Playing Pokémon DP on an R4, I loved it as a young child. Then I bought HG with one of my siblings. Then I started learning English, started watching the anime. My parents bought Black. I did something good for a while, so I received Y. Then I got AS for something too IIRC. I bought Sun as a pre-order, got SMD as a birthday gift, and pre-ordered UM. I really loved the announcements and site of HG. I started getting into spinoffs, and ended up buying some cards.

  16. This turned out to be really long, so here's a super short version. Long version below. 1. Started with Pokemon cards, then got really into Pokemon Silver. And other games, including spinoffs. 2. Ditched Pokemon games before gen 4 because I hated the DS. Sold stuff, replayed on emulators instead. Still liked Pokemon. 3. Got Soulsilver, a remake of my favorite game. Liked it a lot. Got back into Pokemon. 4. Got XY. Got obsessed with trading and breeding. 5. Got obsessed with legit/uncloned event collecting. 6. Got obsessed with moderating /r/pokemontrades. 7. Helped PP collect missing wondercards using my collection and other event collectors, since we need PP's wondercards for Porybox legality. 8. Present day: still event collecting, still moderating /r/pokemontrades. Also using the wondercard server and wcparse to share unreleased info of upcoming events.

  17. mine is complex... but I gonna try to tell it short forget it, it's long XD Pokemon here in Brazil was nothing more than a translation from american version (as you know, pokemon is created in japan, localized in USA with some names and other change sto the series, then went to the western world using this a sbase, some also changed name,s others keep as the english, like here) I don't remind the year but i scholl everybody was talking about it, I wanted to give a look and liked it! all was about the Tv show, everybody wanted a gameboy and game but wasn't accessible XD Me and a friend from (almost) the same street played on his emulator, I got one at home too but my dad was too against game son the computer so I never really played much by myself, but kinda played a bit... went a lot at this friend so we played " together", also was the first time I saw a pokemon game, I played some pokemon stadium but not being able to advance in some gyms there without a GB game where frustrating lol A bit of time, my parent's gave me a game boy color with a fake copy of pokemon Cystal (that i still have, but not the GBC) for my birthday, that friend got almost the same time, with the same-kind of fake crystal, and other yet with original Silver( the richy-guy XD) but he got stuck for not knowing English and trate it for a donkey kong :v another fried had a fake gold that was fan translation or something, crazy stuff XD well,l time passed and not so close to these friend anymore , watching pokemon advanced on Tv wasn't that nice anymore and I lost the interest for the serie sin general...I don't really wanted to emulate RS because the problem sharing the PC with my father and I wanted the real thing (that time I got a GBA, with only my crystal and mario kart lol) Later more, some friends got Ds and I wasn't really interested on it because money issues, they wanted me to get one to play with them but meh XD I wanted one only I heard about the R4 :v Until I wanted to plays smash bros on my n64 (Wii was new that time, maybe not that new, was +/- 2008? and I was +/-17)" and looking for prices, I found a japanese one with 1/3 of the US version price, "it's just fighting game, no need to understand, right?"[spoilers : it was 90% english :v] >the cart arrived >my n64 controller was borrowed >a friend got me a very in bad state one >we crazily run to the console >placed the game and ... WHY IT DON'T FIT? this was how I got aware of region lock, happily I had an adapter here (idk why I had it LOL) >we played it The pokemon dubs where different that what I was used, and I liked then even small samples,,, but then, new challenger approaching! (or something like that, was in japanese anyway) it's PURIN It hit me in a strange way ... like this name? this dub, so cute and kawaidesu (lol) as kids he had problems with the name Jigglypuff because no one could read it, nor say it correctly (the anime dub don't helped, each character talked in a different way) and it was to be really THAT simple? and sounding cutier? I noticed others diferences like itens names: monster ball, not pokéball, the city was " Yamabuki" , I was like " why they hid that for me? if it's stuff from japan why it isn't like in japan ?" This was how I got aware about regional diferences for "the same thing" [kinda side history, not really about pokemon] I got a bit obsessed with localization in general, even more because I saw it was mostly hiding religious references or strong language to make something " safer" from kids, but really stupid stuff if you consider stuff made in USA for the same public had the content they needed to censor there, was really hard to accept any of it, now I understand some reasons, even not agreeing with that at all, even that it was made for the US public and I had to take it ere, not in US lolol That time I was like " hey don't let me fit the cart to don't see the changed content!" :v [back with the pokemon part] This was when my curiosity about pokketomonsuta started to grown on me again, and in a anime subs torrent site (they still exist?) just showed me " Pocket monsters diamond and pearl" I was all curious about it , got and it was like 24 episodes in the best way possible: original names and therms on the subs, not using the localized terms/names on the subs or adding colorful letter to move names, but was just that (and like 2~3 movies) the fansub died without finishing it, the other we had was like this with localized therms/names and colorful things .... Anyway, I got in love with the series again, just like when I was a kid, but this time I just wanted the Japanese stuff but not knowing Japanese, because the " japanese" pokemon seemed better, some stuff like "real and series worlds was a way I enjoyed very more than the " just a generic fictional word" of the localized western version . On that time platinum was getting out, was when I got myself a DS and japanese platinum copy, later I got a soulsilver also Japanese, even not understanding the language (well, I played crystal not knowing English more than Yes and NO), also wanted to show people off about the miraculous world of not localized pokemon but wasn't everyone really interested XD even more who had it on their native languages or was too used to care, was a bit of a failure xD I still like pokemon bu tI still not in that mood to play in english, I tried sun when it launched but haven't went far, I want to translate at least one game(ok all of then but hey, tons of text! and lack of will power) to my language in the way I think it should be here , but I only ave artistic skills and some good ideas, too bad at hacking and nobody on the fando/hacking community really careto help in the translation aspects. I'm kinda far from it today but still something I love, in a different way from mostly of the fans, with a different view of the series, but 3DS games are kinda of killing it... The only thing I really regret is not being too efforted to show " the way Iove" it , being the translation ideas or something else, and not really enjoying it in a way easy to share with the rest of the public... and to haven't really learned japanese to be able to at least enjoy in my way by myself and I failed about being short XD

  18. As for Korrina,I find her the brave kind like for me,I do not skate as I'm too scared.Anyway, I like her design.I won't say that I like her for people say I am childish when I say so but actually, in truth, I like her alot.As for wearing pants,I had a brother and my family wasn't rich so I had no choice but to wear them.I had a younger sister afterwards and my parents bought her new skirts and dresses.I secretly made her like pokemon so that she would ask my parents to get us pokemon games but they said no,pokemon was out-to-date and lame.Yes, they said that.

  19. My parent were the outdated kind.I was told that pokemon was DEAD.The pokemon were pixels in the games.(They must have been talking about the old ones)I just watched the anime. At any rate,I had watched almost every pokemon episode.I tried getting a pokemon X.I was impatient and never played till post-game.I was told about once you beat the champion. You'ld have to restart.I was like,Whatever.Waste of time. One of my friends told me about this site a few years later.By then,I was no longer interested in Pokemon. Then came pokemon GO.There was no pixels or restarting.I was pleased. Then, I was banned for NO reason. Then I got back to X and finished up.I suddenly remembered about this site , joined and set up an account.I also joined Ultra Moon and used citra as I found the game prices high. When I was playing Ultra Moon,my X got stolen.I downloaded save files and play X on PC.I found many X glitches so I am back to ultra moon now.Short history.

  20. I have a whole post about how i got into Pokemon and stuff on my Korrina fan page...I would link to the page its on, but, i'm scared to a bit 'cuz my age is mentioned on my site. And I still worry about people misjudging and bullying me for my age due to my crush on Korrina (even though i believe that liking a fictional character IS harmless and well....doesn't mean the awful stuff people can think it means at all >_<;;; but some people are pretty stupid.....and i'm still kinda sensitive to being picked on and stuff too sadly :< trying to get past it, mind you, but......well, i don't wanna get into the details. either way, being judged doesn't feel good. i'm sure we can all agree on that!!). But I will say some stuff from my page in this post best from my memory as I can. I didn't 'start out' liking Pokemon; I was first a Pokemon hater. Yep, its true. I couldn't stand Pokemon during the craze....the whole thing just seemed.......scary to me. And I prefered watching Digimon. I may of tried to dislike Pokemon to 'please' my parents (or so i thought), but I think if that was fully true, I woulda showed I 'liked' it more than I did. I tried to dislike Digimon too. But that never worked. I think I REALLY didn't get the whole 'pokemon craze thing'. Or many other crazes, really.....it just seemed like people got all freaky during these things O_O;;; yah know?! No point in being 'cool' if someone gets hurt...yeah......and i know my mom has told me she's had scary encounters during the craze, too. I wasn't just being delirious. I ponder time to time how I really ended up a Pokemon fan overall. I wonder: Is it a desire to face my fears, to face the unknown? POSSIBLY. I seemed pretty into the whole idea of Pokemon AT VERY FIRST WATCH, too....it seemed so cute and interesting to me. It was the craze and its, well, crazyness that turned me away. I didn't like scary things as a kid. I was a timid, girly, sensitive person. Who couldn't even stand wearing pants for like a second of my entire childhood. I'm dead serious...(even now, at the age I am, I still have a pretty much real distaste to the idea of wearing pants overall and STILL don't tend to wear them, like, ever. yep...). Anyways, I did dream about Pokemon a lot as a kid, from what I remember. I would say, considering the feelings I felt towards the entire craze, those dreams were 'nightmares' to me back then. Even if i'd be thrilled to bits to have dreams like that again now. I don't seem to ever dream about Pokemon stuff anymore....and I crave pokemon stuff like you wouldn't believe nowadays. Yeah.... Anyways, 'cuteness' was what drawn me into the series. Afterall, i've always been, well, sensitive and girly (and pants hating). I disided to give Pokemon a shot again when I saw my brother get Pokemon cards one time when I was, uhhh, well around 12 or so? Yeah. I saw his seel card and found it too adorable to really feel...threatened by, I guess. o.o I started playing Pokemon games the following years. I loved it. I only used cute Pokemon at first; But now i'll train nearly anything. The pokemon craze, that once scared me?...Still scares me quite a bit! But it also fasanates me. One of my most favorite pokemon now is the terrifying MissingNo., and I ended up with a love of catching him on my brother's pokemon blue game after awhile.... I guess...Pokemon appeals to me. Cuz I wanna be braver! And less sensitive!!! ^___^ I get it now. And Korrina? She's into battling (fights in general, outside pokemon, can be quite scary to me a lot of the time...unless its in something cute like pretty cure....), she roller skates (i was always afraid of asking my mom if i could skate as a kid.....true story!), she kinda has that 'preppy' style to her (preps scare the heck out of me). She, like Pokemon, represents my desire to face my fears. And get stronger. This post....is inspiring me so much.....wow, just. Wow....

  21. It was a bit hard for me to get into Pokémon games since my parents were against of portable video games at the time (I already had a PS2) but I really wanted to play the games given that my friends at school talked a lot about them and I really liked the anime, cards, figures, etc. Luckily my mom bought a DS Lite for my dad as a Christmas present (December 2006) and after a tough battle I got my mother to buy me Emerald (Summer 2007) and that is where all started (at the age of 10). One story comes to my mind too. Does anyone remember here when videos talking about strange procedures with Pokémart questionnaires to get a shiny were a thing? As a noob that I was at the time I decided to try it and you know what, the first encounter after all that was a shiny Marill. I took me some time to realize that the procedure was fake and the fact that the shiny Marill appeared was completely random. I still can't believe it happened.

  22. I just grabbed all of my DS games. I have so many memories with the Ranger games. I remember the original was so much harder than Almia. I only played it twice but it remains one of my favorite games. I got my wisdom teeth removed the day I got the game so I didn't remember half the game the first time I played it. Sadly I missed out on the event because my mother didn't wanna alter the internet security. Which I found out later, wasn't needed. I eventually grew to hate the Alamos Darkrai because I was so pissed off that I missed out on it. Red Rescue Team remains one of my top favorite games of all time. I played the demo back in 2007. I actually didn't like it at first. I went back later when I got money. I don't remember where or how but I'll always be grateful I bough that game. I've been playing RRT off and on ever since. I spent my entire summer in 2007 playing RRT. I managed to get my hands on the strat guide and that made it a lot easier to recruit Pokemon and unlock post-game dungeons. I started work on getting every legendary in 2010 and in 2013, work on getting all the adventure log entries. I never found that blasted Munchlax but other than that, I need to make every Pokemon leader. I'm saving it for last. I have every single Pokemon recruited. I want to do the adventure log in explorers of T/D/Sky but I haven't played them since 2012. I always enjoyed them but not as much as RRT. I'm not ever going to sell my games again. You always end up with no money and no games and I always regret it. I'm going to get a Japanese 3DS and buy the missing games from my collection. I'm buying all of the games in every language. I like having multiple carts, including dupes. I always make new saves but sometimes I like to make 100% save and with gen 4 onwards, I like the date feature and I like keeping my oldest/original saves.

  23. I have a pretty good memory of my entire Pokemon history but a lot of it isn't connected. It's more of just a random collection of barely connected stories and occurrences. For example. I once found a shiny Weepinbel in my Japanese Soul Silver. I used an Action Replay code that makes people shiny on it and it became un-shiny. Later down the line, similar to Ammako: I was breeding my Weepinbel with my Ditto and using AR codes to breed Belsprout and make it shiny. One time, I saved the game and kept re-hatching the same eggs to see if I'd get different natures. Eventually I stopped using the AR code because my L and R buttons were broken so the code was super hard to use. One of them kept hatching shiny and I embarrassingly took longer than I should have to find out it was a real shiny. For some reason I always used to keep my Pokemon untouched. Part of it is just because I enjoy raising Pokemon to 100 but it's always sad watching them inch closer and closer to 100 and you can no longer enjoy raising them. I had to trim it down a bit but I couldn't agree with those words more. I'm going to spend the next day or two trying to write down all of my Pokemon memories and how I got into the series. Everything that I can remember and I'll try to string it together as best as I can. Prepare for a pretty long post. I'm very good at rambling. As for what I like about the games? Wow, as soon as I was about to answer that. There's a dozen things I would say. I'm a collector at heart. I'm a videogame collector in general. I collect promo displays and strategy guides, figures, etc. So collecting Pokemon fits right in. I've always been a competitionist. I've been trying to get 3/4/5* trainer cards in all of the games. I've currently hit a brick wall in Fire Red. I beat the Elite 4 200 times, hatched 300 eggs but I can't connect 3 GBA's at once and play jumping minigames or eat berries in Dodrio berry picking. (I can't find out if you these points you need have to be in one sitting or across several games) I've made somewhere around 7 living dexes. I have several in the works and it depends if you consider every Pokemon in Red Rescue Team being recruited is a living dex, etc. I enjoy collecting event Pokemon, shiny hunting and ribbon collecting. Right now, I've been playing Platinum and working on SteamRoller, my future Ribbon Master Suicune. Ribbons have always been something I was interested in. Ever since Platinum. I wanted to get into that resort and my Swellow was my PG ribbon collector. Several months ago, I was talking on Serebii and somehow ribbon collecting came up and I was linked to an amazing guide by a fellow named Mockturne. I've been pretty much hooked on it since. I'll try to write out the rest of the stories I can remember and organize them later. I just really wanted to post now for some reason. I like Ammako's picture so I'll share one of my own as well.

  24. Wow. This answers A LOT of questions I had about this game. I have EoD and EoT but this one looks just barely buyable. I'll get it for the extra story and new partners. I'm going to be a Shinx with vulpix as a partner. You probably didn't do this but after the main story is over (you know because you cant use any other freaking Pokemon other than you and your partner for a LONG time) I recruit the final two members to my team and use a wonder mail generator to bring them up to level with me and my partner with golden seed rewards (only because I don't have all the time in the world to grind) but after that I don't use any more level up seeds. I'm not a cheater. Oh and if you were interested, my team in PMD EoD is: Leader is Meowth, Partner is chikorita, other recruit is a Houndour, final recruit is an Eevee (Vaporeon to complete my elemental triangle).
